Rated 2 out of 5 by from good and bad this thing looks amazing. the x-wing has lots of detail and the death star is not too bad either. the problem is this thing is extremely difficult to fly. next to impossible for the ages it's geared toward. the controls are very sensitive and takes a lot of practice. i broke a propeller just trying to get the hang of it and the death star is hit and miss. younger kids will get very frustrated very quickly.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Had great expectations until I opened the box Seeemed like a great gift for my son. The X-wing will not calibrate and flies all over the place after multiple attempts to calibrate it. The Death Star flies into the wall and get stuck. Waste of $$$ now I have to find another toy for my son

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Air Hogs - Star Wars X-Wing vs. Death Star, Rebel Assault The Star Wars Xwing fighter was fun to fly after you get the hang of it. Pairing the Death Star could be a little tricky for younger pilots. An adult should be near by for some help. Also, you need 6 double A batteries for the Xwing controller. A larger space for flying would improve your ability to maneuver and make thing a lot more fun. If taken outside it needs to be a calm day. Any wind will send the Death Star spiraling to the ground. Maybe more then one additional propeller should be included. Although, it is durable enough to take a few bounces and still survive undamaged. Overall it's a fun toy to play with and should provide hours of excitement for any Jeteye pilot. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad out of the box I received the product and right out of the box it would not fly straight. I tried to compensate for it flying side ways to the right but it would wildly veer back and forth and hit the wall. I tried taking outside so it would only crash on soft grass but once i got it in the yard same thing and this time it took off and wouldn't stop hitting a tree and bending the blade motor--now won't fly at all!! I called the customer service number provided and they are taking back the bad one and sending me a replacement asap [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very cool, but I think for kids older than 8 I was excited to when I received the Air Hogs - Star Wars X-wing vs. Death Star, Rebel Assault - RC Drone. What I have found is that this is a really cool toy, but a little difficult to get the hang of. For maximum effect, the items should be fully charged before using. I think it is more suited for a preteen or teen and up, but with today's tech savvy kids, who knows. Maybe an 8 year old can get this working a lot faster that I did. It's definitely a lot of fun! Rated 4 out of 5 by from X Wing makes this! Out of the box the toy was very sturdy. We have as young as 2 in our house and as old as 16. I wouldnt let the baby touch it cause he is a little destroyer himself and loves to hear things crack! LOL. My teenager loved the X wing, so much so we totally forgot about the Death Star part entirely. It was fun just driving the X Wing around. It can go really high, and even though charging can take a long while, once its charged it lasts for a long while! I'm an engineer so setup was a breeze but for someone not so technically savvy it may prove difficult. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very finicky but fun We were so excited to receive this however it has some issues . The charge doesn't last very long at all and if you have dogs cats or long haired humans you are going to get hair around the motors and then spend forever fixing. The spare propellers are good but note there are two different kinds. It can't be used outside so be prepared for it to fly into breakables. My son had fun with it but I fear it will spend more time being fixed, charged than being played with [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Star Wars X-wing vs. Death Star This was our first experience with a drone and Air Hogs didn't disappoint. The instructions were easy to follow and shooting down the Death Star for the first time was a great moment for my son and I. Charging was easy and the drone was easy to control. Great family memory! Rated 4 out of 5 by from This thing is a blast! As a child of the 70s and 80s, I am the perfect demographic for this toy. When I saw that I could fly the X-Wing fighter, I was really excited. And being able to fight the death star? BONUS! Flying the X-wing does take a little getting used to. The controls are sensitive and you have to fine tune it a little to get it to hover and not drift. After about 4 flights (you get 10 minutes or so per charge) you start to get the hang of it and it gets fun. Flying around a small house is challenging (especially if your beloved pet is half bird dog!). It was a lot more fun flying outdoors where you have plenty of room. You will crash it, especially in the beginning. But this thing is tough --it’s made of a rubberized plastic. It comes with extra rotors in case you break one, but I’ve flown it for hours and hours and have not had a problem. The one issue I had -- and the reason this is 4 stars and not 5 -- is the death star. No matter how many times we tried, we couldn’t get it to fly right. It would hover for a moment and then fly off in one direction or another until it hit a wall or something, then it would just keep bumping into whatever it was. So while the promise of a fight to the death with the Death Star was unrealized, flying the X-wing drone is a lot of fun. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks and haven’t gotten tired of it yet. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Concept! Not for the Novice. Let me start off by saying this is a great concept! As a Star Wars fan, the design is beautifully detailed! Now for the not so good. The battery life is poor. Charging by USB or by the 6 AA batteries the remote takes I was only able to attempt to fly the X-Wing around 10 to 15 minutes. This is hardly enough time to figure out how to maneuver the drone. The Death Star works as stated and puts on quite a show of it's own...I'm afraid my Family and I were no match for the Death Star. My Husband and I had a very hard time controlling the X-Wing much less my Children. My 10 year old Son was super excited to try the drone but the excitement quickly waned as he realized how hard it is to control. His patients and the battery wore down before any successful flight occurred. My 5 year old Daughter didn't stand a chance! It was me, however, that crashed the X-wing and broke off two rotors. The rotors were easily replaceable with the spare parts in the box. All in all, great concept and design but poor battery life and difficult to maneuver for the novice. This is not a toy for young Children. I would say older teens and Adults. This would be great for someone with a lot of experience flying drones. It's a must have for the Star Wars Collector or Super Fan! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toy for older kids Overall this Air Hogs toy is cool and lots of fun for big Kids and adults. My younger children (4 & 5) like it too, but it is hard to understand to operate and make sure it doesn't crash to the ground in a flaming ball of glory (no real flames, people, but I could picture them when my youngest wanted to fly it). This is why I gave them a 4 out of 5 stars, and that is for durability. For the researched price that it cost for these drones I can not see young children have these for long and keep them in one piece. It does have nice details in the X wing and Death Star and lots of fun for our star wars fans. Imagination station with the action figures when th3y were not flying about too. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Air Hogs -Star Wars Rebel Assault I had a lot of problems with this toy. The Death Star worked really well, but that was about the only thing that did. Firstly, the X-wing really chews through batteries. I only got about 45 minutes of flight time off the first charge, then after that, even charging all night didn't grant enough of a charge to get off the ground. Secondly, I found the controls really difficult to use, as did my kids. They were extremely sensitive and the tiniest movements of the controls resulted in huge directional changes in the drone, which resulted in a lot of crashes. The X-wing constantly began drifting different directions, which required corrections on the drift controls over and over. All in all, my kids were bored with trying to make it work very quickly. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome fun! My entire family loves this toy. It's built pretty tough. The concept is very creative. The directions were easy to follow and we put the toy in use in about 10 minutes. Maneuvering the space ship only takes a few minutes to master. I would purchase this toy as a gift in the future. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Use the force Love the Star Wars themed vehicles. The x-wing is very sturdy and can a lot of abuse that most beginners will encounter. My first impression of the Death Star was that there was no way this is going to work, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Death Star is a blast. My first flight did not end well for me I was shot down. After a few flights I got the hang of the controls and was very impressed with the controller. Digital trim settings are a big help and the option to turn the sound off is a nice option. This is the first controller I did not need a mini screwdriver to put batteries in .Directions are detailed and straightforward which helps provide a fun experience. I guarantee you will see many of these Christmas Day ... my son loves it! We have had a lot of fun flying this . The neighborhood kids have all taken there shot at defeating the federation scum but only a few have had the force. Do you have what it takes ? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Star Wars Air Hogs My boys, 15 & 7, both enjoyed playing with the Star Wars X-Wing vs Deathstar toy. The directions were pretty easy and straightforward. I have it 4 stars because when the Deathstar is hovering it's pretty noisy and also because neither the X-Wing or the Deathstar doesn't hold a charge for very long (30 to 45 minutes). Overall my boys had a great time playing with it and I would definitively look at buying more Airhog products in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs work I was excited to get this product. When I first opened the box and took the product out, It seemed very detailed on the X-wing fighter portion. But the death star seems a little less detailed. The charge ports on both the plane and the death star are very flimsy and feels like after a couple of uses it will break off, especially when the kids get a hold of it. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like the idea I really was excited about the idea of battling the Deathstar and my 8 year was crazy excited but it is proving difficult. The instructions for setting up the charging of the x-wing and Deathstar are a bit confusing but we did figure it out. After charging, we tried our maiden voyage and it was a flop. The death star did hover but not very well the x-wing did not gain an altitude that was much more then a foot off the ground and it did not hover. We have tried it multiple times and have still had problems gaining the optimum hover technique. I am hoping that it will work better the next time we try. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun while it lasted...... The Star Wars X vs Death Star was so much fun for the hour I was able to play with it. However, I was disappointed that the charger broke off in the charging port on the first charge. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome and Fun So far, I really think this air hogs - star wars x-wing vs death star, rebel assault - RC Drone is pretty awesome! My husband and I have had so much fun learning it. The directions are a little tough to follow so it just took a little longer than maybe it should have to get it started up. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun but ... Straight out of the box, this product looks fun and exciting for ages 8+. There is nothing to that needs to be put together. Just charge them up and they are ready to go. You'll need 6AA batteries for the controller. The X-wing plugs into the controller which is plugged into a wall charger and the Death Star also plugs into a wall charger, charging cords are included. As all Air Hogs seem to be, this one also has that flimsy feel like it won't take much to break it. I was very careful trying to get it out of the box as I thought I would break it. It's going to take some practice before you'll be able to use it as intended. Controlling the X-wing is tricky and you'll have a few crashes to contend to . It does come with extra props in the event any get broken. The charge only lasts about 15mins so just when you think you can try to attack the Death Star, it's time to recharge. We had a confusing time trying to get the Death Star up and hovering as there is a sequence you must follow to get it paired with the controller. Overall, this is an expensive but fun little toy to mess around with but I'm not sure that an 8 year old would be able to fully enjoy it without breaking it or without the help of an adult. We're approaching 50 and found it to be hard to control and we haven't even gotten around to shooting the Death Star yet. We've had it for about 5 days now and more practice is needed. Sound effects are cool though. This is definitely something many young children will be putting on their Christmas lists this year. After giving this a try, I'm not sure that I would put it under the tree though. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best product everrrrrrrrr! I was so excited to try the Air Hogs - Star Wars X-Wing vs. Death Star, Rebel Assault Star Wars Air Hogs Epic Death Star Battle!!!! I stalked my mailbox awaiting the package arrival. My cat Bella was just happy to have a new box to check out! It was just as I imagined. The out of box experience was a bit more tedious figuring out what plug went where and what connects to what. Don't expect to play with this product straight away...need to charge both the plane and the hovering sphere for a couple hours for a full charge. Once fully charged....the fun is non stop. This plane can fly as high as a 2 story building! We liked flying the plane so much that we forgot about the death star. This would be able excellent gift for a teen or Star Wars fan.. really anyone who wants to get out and have some fun! I received this product free from Spin Master in exchange get for my honest opinion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised! I have been a Star Wars fan for a long time. The concept of this game was really exciting. I was pleasantly surprised at the details in both the X-wing and Death Star. It was easy to remove from the package and came with 2 USB chargers. I had it charging for a little over an hour and could not wait any longer to get it up in the air. We figured out quickly how to control the Death Star with the white trigger and it hovers to allow you to play the game. It is a bit challenging but was a lot of fun! It also took a little while to figure out the controls. However, once you get used to the controls it is really smooth and fun to navigate. Calibration is a little difficult to figure out since there seem to be multiple calibration directions. We are still in the process of figuring out all the control options. It flew for about 15 minutes on a quick charge but will need to let it charge some more for a longer flight. We got the X-Wing to fly over 25 ft in the air and fall without damage so it is built very well. Distance with the controls is very good. Altogether I would have to say this is a fun toy with multiple ways to play with it.. giving it an edge on some of the other drone types that are out on the market. I sure we will have many more hours of fun playing with it here. Flight Time: Good! Fun Rating: Great! Durability: Great! Nostalgia: Awesome (seeing the X-Wing fly!) --Rating Scale-- Bad!----------OK!----------Good!--------Great!--------Awesome! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
