Rated 1 out of 5 by from No hole for door in front left frame. Bought this for my 2 year old grandson and there is no way the door will stay on because there was no hole in left frame to hold it on...Very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Assembly makes me hate this car I usually enjoy putting things together. This is the worst. After five hours, still not put together correctly. Directions are awful and the video online makes it look easy, but it just doesn't work that way. And the reviews have been bad for years, and yet Little Tikes doesn't do anything to make them better. My own kids (I am a grandparent now) had one of these when they were little and it came put together. Thats the only way i would recommend this---if you have someone put it together for you. Otherwise, you'll be here, like me, writing your first review---and it won't be a good one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy Coupe We got this for my niece after she had started learning to walk, only in pink. The Coupe is slimmer then the Coupe I remember from my childhood, but still good quality, takes less space in doorways and hallways since its more narrow then I recall. It also has safety features that we didn't have as kids, there's a latch on the coupe's door, so the child doesn't fall out by leaning on it from the inside. There's also a piece you can put as a floor board so their feet stays inside the car when you push them around when they are too young and don't have the reach or the concept of pushing with their feet, easy to put in and take out the panel (floor board) for when they want to use their own feet to push themselves. Nice additions!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Horrible assembly!!!! This product is absolutely horrible to assemble. All the pieces are hard plastic that require a lot of strength in order to click into place. So, if you mess up, you are out of luck. Also, the top hat fasteners are permanent, once you hammer them in, you cannot remove them, which is unrealistic and extremely frustrating. Now, I have to buy new fasteners and cut off the old ones!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from dissappointed This was a birthday present for a two year old. Not as good as the old cozy coups of the past the design stinks. Trying to get it to snap together and stay together is a joke. Would probably have been a fun toy if you could steer the front wheels. But it doesn't. It took me and Papa about an hour to get it together, many years of toy assembling in my past I can say the design stinks. It pops apart after you get it (snapped) together and the instructions were terrible. Not at all worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! We gave this as a birthday gift in August to our son. He loves seeing these cars at our friends houses and preschool so we got him his very own. He LOVES his very own! This car is a classic and Lil Tikes has a classic great toy with this car! I love the add on bottom piece so kids can rest their feet while we push. I just can't wait to buy him the matching gas pump to increase the play fun even more this summer!! Thank you lil tikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy Coupe does not disappoint! My song loves the Cozy Coupe! We love the new floorboard option available in this model, which our older model does not have. Our little one is not yet ready for full on operation, so this allows us to have fun without the worry of one of hes feet getting caught on something along one of our cruises. Highly recommend the Cozy Coupe for all children!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best little car in the world! We bought our 1st Cozy Coupe in 1993 for our daughter. It has been outside in our Los Angeles sunny backyard (uncovered) since then. It is still going strong and every child that comes over plays on it. It even still has the original key. A child has never gotten hurt on it. It is the best! Our sweet little grandniece is starting off a whole new generation of Cozy Coupe drivers. Our daughter now drives an Ambulance and soon a Fire Truck! P.S. I grew up in Ohio - near Hudson

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cookie Monster Improvements Dear Little Tykes, Your cozy coupe is making me cookie monster much pain. Your lights are plastic and this makes pretend cars bump into me. Your turn lights are always blinking. Please put real lights on the cozy couple. And please make the water container into a cookie container. And make the turning lights real. Make the gas gauge go all the way up and all the way down like a real car. Also, make the honking sounds louder

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Suppose to be durable? We bought our son one for his 1st birthday. We believed that this was durable and will at least last longer than a year. The door tore off - have pictures to show. There's no way that my son of almost 2 and daughter of almost 4 could do this. Flimsy is maybe not the right word. My problem is, the coupe is now without a door. We live in South Africa and all they say is, it was bought a long time ago (9months ago, Aug 2015). I still have the box that it came in. I love Little Tikes, we buy a lot of toys from your brand. I really believed that the car was a very special gift. Is there no one that I can complain to in South Africa except the store manager? Hope to hear from you soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Toy My father got this for my son. It reminds of great times I had playing in it as a kid. In an age where kids are on ipads, it's nice to see some things don't change.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total garbage I have a tall 2 year old who got this for Christmas from his grandparents. Aside from their feedback that it was difficult to assemble, the biggest issue is he is too tall to operate the car when he's inside. The seat is too low to the ground and he cannot propel the car. Even if we tried to push him, his feet get caught in the front wheels. He loves the idea of this car but it is impossible for him to play with it as advertised. I cannot imagine a 5 year old fitting and using this car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Toy! We bought the car as a gift for our almost 3 year old Grandson. He had been dragging out an old walker and calling it his car so we thought this would be perfect for him. He is delighted with all the features: horn, key and gas cap...everything. We gave him an old bottle to use as a "gas can" and within a couple of days he told us he needed a different car because he had to put too much gas in this one. I guess he's heard that a little too often. In any case he loves the car.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from GREAT PRODUCT This was a gift for my granddaughter who is "car crazed" at the age of two - Instant hit! She lives in her car with her friends, Elmo, Abbey, Hippo and Dog. The product was affordable, fits in the trunk of my car, easy to keep clean, and fits comfortably in her room and her parents aren't mad at me. Don't have anything negative to say about the product. All I can say is thanks Little Tykes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite We received our first cozy coupe as a hand-me-down when our daughter was around 12 months. We put it outside and she loved it. She mostly liked getting in and out, and opening and closing the door. As she got older, she started moving backwards, and by around 19 months could go in all directions. At 20 months, this has been her favorite toy for a while now. We decided to buy this model (magenta) to put inside the house in hopes to keep her just as entertained with her "outside" car. It worked perfectly, she loves her new car. It was very easy to put together, and based on our experience with the first one, I expect this one to last until she grows out of it. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No Problems Here First we are the parents of twin boys and decided to buy this car Fall 2014 after the grandparents bought an older model Cozy Coupe. My husband is pretty handy and didn't have any trouble putting the car together even with both the boys fighting over the box and the pieces in the box. Assembly was more difficult than some toys but anyone with some patients can figure it out. The boy prefer the new model over the old because of the ignition switch feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for my kids and now their kids! This was a great toy when I was running a daycare over 30 years ago. It was always a hit with all the kids, so when my granddaughter was turning one it was the only gift I knew for sure I wanted to get her. My daughter sent out a text a week after the party with a picture of my granddaughter in the cozy coupe with a caption that read "she won't get out of it, so I'm pushing her around the house to get chores done and she loves it!" Best gift ever, in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of fun My 2 year old daughter got this car for Christmas and she loves it. She is able to push herself or we can out the floor board in and push her. She loves both ways! She plays with it for hours! She loves the horn and the fact that it has a spot for her drink, which she carries everywhere. My small 5 year old plays in it also. It is sturdy and seems like it will last a long time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great products I bought a sandbox turtle, cozy cope, and picnic table 30 yrs. ago for my children, and now I am buying another cozy cope, sports cope, picnic table, rocking horse and lawn mower as gifts for my grandchildren. They are durable, safe toys which provided many hours of play inside and outside. Great customer service. The cars are a little difficult to assemble, I think it takes two people. Otherwise, these are 5 star products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 year old LOVES his new Cozy Coupe We bought our son a Cozy Coupe for his second birthday. The assembly was easy, with minimal tools, and only took about 15-20 mins to put together. It's very sturdy and rolls great once put together. My son loves to take it outside and roll around inside also. His friends push him and he pushes his stuffed animals in it. It is by far his most favorite toy. We're so glad we got it for him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my princess! This cozy coupe is ADORABLE! The sparkling glitter adds so much to the car's appearance making it feminine and enchanting. I bought this last year for Christmas for my then 15 month old and she absolutely loves it. She jumped right in and honked the horn and had a smile from ear to ear. Since it was winter, we would push her around the house in it and she never wanted to stop! The horn makes different noises and the key turns. There is even a cover for the gas tank that you can open and close. Now, almost a year later, she still plays with it almost daily. She loves grabbing a few of her toys and hoping in for a ride. Other times she likes to just relax in it while enjoying a snack. She puts treats and her drink in the drink holder/ tray. I love that the toy can grow with her by removing the floor board and I love that she hasn't gotten bored with it even more. If you are looking for a great ride on toy, this is it! You and your little one will not be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My son was playing in it within 30 seconds of me bringing it out to him I bought this for my now 22 month old son back when he was 16 months and he has loved it since the day I put it together (which took about 20 minutes) and he still plays with it everyday. This is an absolute favorite of little tikes toys! It was not hard to put together (just read instructions) and has held up so well with everyday use that it still looks almost brand new!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest Gift! I bought the Cozy Coupe for my niece's birthday & it was an absolute hit! She loves cruising around in it & filling up at her little tikes gas pump! The Cozy Coupe brought back so many wonderful memories of the one that my brother's & I had that I couldn't resist getting one for her. I would recommend the Cozy Coupe for anyone that wants to give a special child a wonderful gift that will last a lifetime!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Little Toy! Bought this a day ago for the grandkids. Took about an hr. to assemble. I've put together over 20 toys like this. Very good instructions compared to other toys. It even has it in English! Others your lucky to get a fuzzy picture. The roof was a real bear to snap together but after talking to it for a few min. it gave in....LoL! My wife said she could never get this part to go together. Had a hard time with one of the plastic rivet/bolt that holds the top on, gotta watch that. I have one of the older versions of the Cozy Coupe and its still standing after 29 yrs! They built the older ones really tough. This newer version is quite a bit smaller. Not gonna be used as much compared to the older one. Do not let older kids on this cause they will break the axles out from the housing. But overall a good buy if you get it at Wally World.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So much smaller than Cozy Coupe from the 90's We recently bought a cozy coupe for my grandson because I remembered both my sons playing for hours with their coupes. So disappointed that the size has been reduced. I have pictures of two 2 1/2 year olds sitting in the same car, no way two would fit now. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super cute and fun I've only had this for about two hours, but I just wanted to write a review regarding the assembly, for those who might be reading this before buying. It was NOT that hard to assemble. There is a lot of exaggeration on the other reviews -- most difficult awful thing ever to assemble? Requiring physical strength that left you aching? Took hours and hours to assemble? That just wasn't my experience.  Some things to keep in mind: Pay attention to the pictures in the instruction booklet, particularly when it comes to how the assembler's hands are oriented. Watch the video (I couldn't find it here but googled "Cozy Coupe Video" and it was the first one to pop up) if you're super visual. I had a hard time with the roof supports at first too, until I realized when the instructions said "pull towards you, then push" that I had to be on the side of the roof, not behind it. Once I reoriented myself, it was done in like 30 seconds. So yeah, it would be nice if the instructions were more clear, but that goes for pretty much everything in the world that requires assembly. Also, there is text in the instruction booklet, despite some other reviews. It is a little annoying that you need to have a power drill, but I think they do indicate that on the box, so you really can't blame them for that, either. Anyway, if you don't have one, just borrow one from a neighbor.  The car is super cute and my 1-year-old really enjoyed being pushed around the house in it. We're looking forward to taking it for a test run outside soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cutest riding toy on market! We purchased this for our grandson for Christmas. Assembly was easy to put together! This came with the bonus wagon as part of the Special 30th Edition and we needed to put our own holes in for the hitch but it was no big deal. I'm not sure how many miles we've put on it (or our legs!!) but he'd stay in it all day if you'd keep pushing him around. We had a Cozy Coupe years ago for our kids and this one seems made with thinner plastic but I think it will hold up throughout the years of use and abuse with no problems. Little Tikes toys are made to last and we've found they certainly do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grandpa Assembled (easy) First, my grandson loved this toy! We take a walk with him in it every day that he is over. He goes over to the car and wants to get in when he sees it. It's very sturdy and we like the cup holders. I usually push it as grandpa is a little too tall for him to comfortably push without it bothering his back. As for the assembly, it was a lot of parts, but grandpa assembled it in under an hour. We had no issues and following the directions was easy. Unsure why there have been several posts about the assembly.  Overall, seeing my grandson's smile as we push him around is definitely worth it al!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't go fast enough Santa gave me this car for Christmas and I really like it. But my mommy doesn't push me fast enough so I go very slow. I think this car can go a lot faster. I also wish they had a sippy cup holder for my juice box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy build happy kid Wife bought this for my son and I had some hesitation after reading the reviews for the build.  Opened the box pulled out the instructions and found the item was made in america and the instructions written by an American. Awesome!! Very easy to build simple assembly.  Took about an hour to assemble. Only needed a mallet and screwdriver. Was not short any parts and it also had no similar parts to confuse with one another.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than ever Easy to assemble, contrary to some review comments....I suggest first watching the on-line assembly instruction video. Bought one of the first ones 30 years ago.....it gave pleasure & survived my three kids.

We bought it in the early spring o she would get to use it lot before the summer heat set in. She plays with it daily, even drives it around the garage when it's too hot to go outside. It has held up great, the magenta color is fabulous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Birthday Present Ever! We purchased the Cozy Coupe as a gift for our sons first birthday. He has been obsessed with cars since he was 8 months old so we figured it would be the perfect gift. It has been with out a doubt the best toy we have ever bought. Worth every penny! He loves it! When ever we go outside he asks to take his car out. He stays entertained in the driveway for hours with it. It did take some time to put together so make sure to plan extra time to build it if giving as a gift. The cup holder on it is a nice touch. He loves putting his water bottles in it and his toys he wants to take along for the ride. Since he liked it so much we also gave one to my niece for her first birthday. She also loves it and plays with it almost as much as he does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money well spent! The look on my grandson's face when he saw his car was priceless. He is autistic and sometimes gets to play with a coupe at his playgroups but to have is own made it perfect. He plays on our driveway for hours, parking it next to grandad's car. If we let him he would live in it. It was worth every penny and will last for many years and no doubt get passed on to another child, maybe his little brother or sister. I cannot express how wonderful it is and I would recommend them to any one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from She loves it, customer service is poor. One year old granddaughter loves it but it arrived without all the pieces including the floorboard which is why I chose this model. After contacting Little Tikes they sent me, which I asked them to send to my son in another state where it was originally sent, an incorrect floorboard. Now I have to start all over with this situation. Not happy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All kids just love this car! I bought this for my first grandson and we could not get him out of it. It was nice that we could take him outside and not have to chase him all over. We could sit and watch while he went up and down the driveway, went pretend shopping, through the fast food line and stopped for gas. The cupholders are great, not only for his special "travel mug", but his "travel mates" as well. Even though it is now a few years old, he still refers to it as "my new car". My daughter loaned the car to my son when they had company from abroad (big, big hit, BTW) and his little gal, age 7 months, has claimed it for herself. She plays with it everyday. She uses it to pull herself to a standing position and can open and close the door and gas tank; something she finds quite amusing. Her parents take her for a ride in it every day and it is comical to see the look on her face because she thinks she is really steering it. She has the steering figured out! I just returned from buying the Princess Cozy Coupe so we can return the first car to it's rightful family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Cozy Coupe! Aside from my toddler being a daredevil and trying to be like a character on the Dukes of Hazzard show, we adore the Cozy Coupe. My son was really sick this past Christmas and when we brought him down in the morning, he ran straight for the Cozy Coupe and sat in it for hours. He has a unique driving style which is very humorous. We keep it indoors for play because we live in the city without a lot of safe outdoor play area. Easy to clean for mom and fun to ride in for my child. Assembly was slightly more involved than we thought it would be, but watching my son play in it for hours makes it worth it.

Easy to clean for mom and fun to ride in for my child. Assembly was slightly more involved than we thought it would be, but watching my son play in it for hours makes it worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Missing Instructions I put this together for my grandson today and afterwards, found out that screws were suppose to go into the back support and top. It looks like half of my instructions were missing. I went on line and reviewed video 2 that showed the correct assembly for the top and back supports, how to install the hood ornament, floor and steering wheels. I'm glad that I have a computer but what about those that don't? Maybe this product will last a long time and maybe my grandson will enjoy it but Little Tikes need to have a talk with their manufacturer to make sure all instructions are provided.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very hard to assemble! My daughter had one of these when she was little, and now this is for her son. It is a GREAT toy, but it is nearly impossible to put together. I have put many things together in my life, but this wa rediculous. The printed instructions are useless, and I had to watch the video to get it done. That wasn't that great either, but it saved me. Surely there has to be a better way or have it asseembled further in the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable car for my grandson I can push my grandson when the floorboard is in, but he can power it with his feet when the floorboard is out. The front of the coupe fits exactly into the frame of my son's snowplow, so my grandson enjoys "plowing the driveway."

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easier than the reviews indicate Reading the reviews put fear into my heart but I was relieved to find this was no more difficult to assemble than any other large mobile toy. My wife (bless her heart) told me about the videos and that cut the time and frustration levels to near "0". There is a need for some strength in grip and the ability to use an open-handed "wack" to seat things in place so those older grandparents or those with arthritic conditions may need a second pair of hands (or a light rubber mallet). An electric screwdriver is also recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from kid loves My 18 mo old son loves to play with the cars at daycare so for Christmas I got him one I was kinda disappointed when I was assembling it this week as we have had bad weather so I didn't want to have it just sitting there where he could see yet not use it and there was no steering wheel in the box. I tried to get one and was told no because its been months and i never registered with the warranty guess I have learned my lesson I now have to pay for another part. So I guess I just recommend you assemble before hand so you can still get parts or at least open the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our grandson adores his car! This was the most perfect gift for our 18 month old grandson. Having already purchased this 10 years ago for another grandchild & knowing how he & his brother adored it, I knew the same experience would be replicated & I was not wrong. Our granson wakes up each morning calling for his "car." He can't wait to get outside & living in CA affords him the weather to do so! I recommend this gift highly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from assembly not that bad I don't usually write reviews but we bought our daughter the cozy couple for christmas despite the reviews on horrific assembly. I had to comment and say it is not that bad...takes a little while (took us about 40 min with the wagon) and moves quickly with 2 people. Make sure you have the tools they list and you're good to go

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Assembly hard? Read the instructions. My son Josh got the Cozy Coupe as a first birthday gift from his grandparents. I assembled the car, with one hiccup at the stage where the front pillars are inserted - found them to be quite firm to locate in position, but remedied this by using a smear of olive oil on one sheet of paper towel to lubricate the hook-in parts at the base of each pillar. Assembled in under 30 minutes, I am very impressed with the solid construction of this car! He obviously has not used it for long, as I assembled it today, but the look on his face as we (my wife, other sons and I) push him around says it all - he loves it. I can find no fault with this toy as yet, maybe the instructions could suggest a mild lubricant on the front pillars? Some reviews I have read condemn the Cozy Coupe and say they would tell people to steer clear of it because they had difficulty with assembly. I personally found that if you follow the instructions and take some initiative (ie, lubricate difficult joints) you will have no trouble.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Assembly = Headache The instructions lead you to believe that this product assembles in a matter of minutes. It can't be... The front pillars are an absolute nightmare to attach. As for the screws, there are no guide holes, only "general areas" where the screws should be screwed-in. The product is good, but it is obvious that the product engineers did not try to assemble it themselves, prior to putting it into mass-production. Avoid assembly at all costs. If your local store offers it, pay the cost to have this pre-assembled. Also our product did not come with a horn for the steering wheel. Aside from that, our daughter loves this toy. Hopefully one day, she'll appreciate the headache of assembling his toy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the money The cozy coupe was a gift for our two year old. The box said 1.5-5 years, and I find it hard to believe a five year old could fit inside much less drive the car. My two year old and I were also disappointed to find that the steering wheel doesn't actually steer the car, and he has trouble making it go on his own because he is almost too big for the car. Looks cute on the box, disappointing after it's opened.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some flaws Purchased for 2 year old twins. There is no way they will use this coupe past 3 years old; the leg opening is simply too small and the front wheels are too close together-my kids keep getting their legs caught under or around the wheels. The kids do like it as I'm sure it's quite fun to pretend to drive a car. Too bad the steering wheel doesn't actually move the wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's just great I have a cozy coupe since I was 2. Now I'm 16 and I still have it even if I can't play any more. I was playing with my friends and we all loved it. I remember that I was so sad when I couldn't sit in the car any more and I was trying to sit on the top. The whole thing was very funny. Cozy Coupe was my favourite toy ever and I would recomend it to everyone because it is good for all kids.

My other two kids used it until the top fell off. The cozy coupe was is the driveway and got hit at our apt complex. I took the top off, and they continued using it no matter what. My youngest two rode in it together, so it lasted through my 3 kids. They are now 25,21 and 20...Now my grandson is riding on...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice car over all great car, we got this for my one year old son's birthday, it was hard getting the roof on, it took two people to do the job, the screw holes aren't lined up there there are any holes at all! the gas cap just goes in a hole, it does not snap in and you don't put a screw in it, so my son is always taking it off, for now it is an inside toy but once it gets outside i'm sure the gas cap will be lost because of this, also these have been made smaller, the older ones were much bigger so if you plan on getting this for an older child don't bother, just try looking for one of the older models but in the end all that matters is my son loves it and it came with a free hand push car :)

She had used one before that wasnt hers and i just had to get her one. Then i opened the box and was horrified at how many pieces and how hard this thing is to put together. I mean, really? i have bought so many other toys like this for kids and never saw anything like this before for assembly. I gave up and now need to have my husband try to help tonight when i was thinking i could just do this myself and have a great new toy waiting for her when she woke up. I still think its a great toy but someone needs to redo the directions or find another way to have this built and still be sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Headache resolved easy My wife got this for my son when I was deployed. She can not stop going on about how hard it was to put together. Her solution and the reason for this review is to let other parents know, "just take it to [...], spend [$], and pick it up fully assembled two days later. They even put all the stickers on and everything". After all that, our son loves the thing. Hates to get out of it, can't keep him away from it, and he even loves to push it around. Great gift, but horrible to put together.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun, assembly isn't bad Child finds it fun, I was jealous I never had one as a pre-schooler. Child enjoyed watching the assembly process. Toy is well made and decorated and engaging to the child. Assembly does require a drill, a short screwdriver, and goes better with two adults. Assembly isn't more complicated or frustrating than yard work or basic home maintenance, but if you never do either and don't own/use basic tools occasionally then you may find it frustrating. Definitely watch the videos. It does take a while to assemble but the assembly time seems appropriate for the price compared to other toys (I would rather pay less and put it together). Only improvement---perhaps a removable foot tray that lets them put their feet up (when tired) or drop them down.

We bought it for his 1st birthday and he couldn't wait to get it put together. Now, that he's 21 months and we removed the foot board this spring, he will spend hours in and out of it and cruising all over the yard. He will play with it on the enclosed porch or inside, too. It took us two hours to put this little car together, when we finished, I felt like I had been in a fight..... the hardest part was getting the roof together, I remembered someone used a blowdryer to soften the pieces, yes it works on the holes that you have to install the roof to, be sure to have a blowdryer, electic screwdriver (makes it easier) and a hammer with you to make the process easy and less frustrating. I would buy this product again, my daughter loves it, when she saw it, she said "Mine" and walked around it like she was on a car lot, her sister got the red one because her car is red and she says my car is like Sissy!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little car! For parents, grandparents and everyone who seems to complain about the assembly I would listen to them. From my experience toys aren't usually tough to assemble. This little car requires strength and patience. One thing about all the reviews that I read, especially the negative ones is that the children love the car, yet the parents or grandparent say they would not recommend this toy to a friend. Why? If the children love the toy why restrict them from the opportunity because of some assembly difficulties. If I were you I tell every friend and family member about this great toy. I know I will!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy Assembly I see many reviews about the difficult assembly process. I found the instructions clear and easy to follow. All the parts fit together well. There are quite a few assembly steps, so it took about an hour to complete, but there should be no issues in putting this together if you follow the directions. There's also a new easily removable "floor" if you'd like to use the Coupe for a toddler who's not ready for using it on their own. The "floor" just snaps in and out. This is for my 4 year old grandson, but, with the floor installed, it can also be used by my year-old granddaughter. Once assembled, it appears to be a sturdy well-built toy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to assemble Great toy and my 1 year old soon loves it. The only bad part is the handle that is built in is hard to reach for an adult without breaking your back. My husband and I took him for a walk in it and pushed him but we had to bend down the whole time. There should be a handle that you can attach to use. The directions were also hard and the car didn't even turn out the way the box shows it. Needs a little work but still a great toy for a child.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This better be the Best Gift Ever... My husband and I bought this classic toy for our nephew's first birthday. We assumed that assembly would be quick and relatively simple. We completed the first few steps and were lulled into the false sense that putting the rest of the Cozy Coupe together would be easy. Oh, how wrong we were... In the midst of our frustration - which seemed to peak when my hammer-weilding husband was attaching the roof pieces - we couldn't help but to sit back and laugh at what a mess this project had become and what we had been reduced to: a crazed aunt and uncle, toiling over bits of red and yellow plastic. Overall, we spent about ninety minutes putting this toy together. Now, my husband and I aren't master craftsmen by any means and this toy was actually really difficult to assemble. I'd definitely recommend allowing yourself plenty of time for trial and error. This really is a great toy and I'm sure our nephew will enjoy his Coupe for a long time to come - at least we HOPE he will... We worked really hard on it. :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toy! This is a great toy. My parents bought it for my son's 1st birthday and it was his favorite toy. It's the only toy that he doesn't get bored with. Other toys may keep his attention for a couple days to a couple weeks but he's 2 now and still uses it daily. The removable floor board is wonderful when they are still small and can't scoot themselves. Without the floor board, they will slip out the bottom. I would recommend this toy to any parent. It's worth every penny!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Son LOVES it.....BUT hard to assemble My son LOVES his car. My friend's daughter has one and every time we go to her house the first thing my son does is run to the car. So we decided to get him one for Christmas. I never in a million years thought it would've been so hard to put together. My husband and father-in-law spent over an hour trying to assemble. The roof did not have the holes it needed to lock the back braces into place. They had to to make them. The whole time my son was trying to get in it and was very upset. Thinking it was just our car, I called my friend and they had the same issue with their car last Christmas.....long assembly time and had to make holes where they should've been. Based on that I would've given 2 stars BUT after it was all put together and my son was able to play with it, it made it worth all the trouble. Be prepared to take some time putting together- it isn't as easy as the instructions and instruction video make it out to be. Overall it is a great toy and has provided hours of fun already!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from RIDICULOUS TO PUT TOGETHER! I cannot believe how difficult this was to put together. There are no pilot holes and they expect you to mannually screw in long screws. You also have to hammer the wheels together which is difficult. It took us all morning to put it together just to keep from getting overly frustrated with it. They really need to do a better job with assembly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Quality Control Problem I usually rather enjoy assembling my children's' toys. This time I was struggling. I could not get the roof and pillar to seat properly until I realized that there was extra plastic from the injection molding process. It had either spilled out of the mold, or had not been trimmed correctly. After I had trimmed the two rear pillars, it went together with no further problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Fun Mom-in-law had several of these at her day-care, kids love 'em. We just bought one for our first grandchild. I read all the reviews complaining that it was so difficult to assemble...I have to think those people have never assembled anything before. I watched the on-line video AND assembled the coupe in 45 minutes by myself. To everyone having issues "forcing" the parts together, WATCH THE VIDEO and rock the parts into place as shown...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love this car I bought a coupe for my one year old and a truck for my 2 1/2 year old. These cars are so much fun for playing indoors and outdoors. They are great for when friends are visiting. I recommend getting at least two as the kids love following each other. My daughter is still a little young for this and needs close supervision, but I know she will grow into it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Beautiful Durable Fun Toy Car On the video, which was very helpful, you should include a helpful hint to use boiling water to the bottom of the front pilars. After three very frusterating hours the hot water trick worked wonders, and it still wasn't easy. I would gladly pay an additional $10.00 to buy it assembled. Grandpa & Grandma

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Things have changed in 30 years! We use the car at our preschool, but it is so much smaller than the earlier versions only a few students can actually use it. It is still a classic toy that children LOVE.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Front pillars The required tools for assembly listed in the instructions are incorrect. The required tools should read: hammer, phillips head screwdriver, hairdryer. Assembly of the front pillars is not possible without using the hairdryer as far as I can tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rode it until the wheels fell off!!! I would definitely buy this again for any other children/grandchildren I may have! Not to mention, I had one when I was a kid and I rode mine until it finally broke down :D There is nothing like a toy that can be enjoyed for multiple generations.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cute extremely hard to assemble Extremely hard to assemble. Roof wont stay on right after hours of putting it together. The door is really hard for son to open and close. Instructions to to be more detailed and explain how hard it really is to snap together the pieces took us three people to finally get into one piece and its still comes apart. Eyes on front wont snap completely together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toy I've bought 3 of these the past 2 years. I bought them for grandsons first birthday. Two brothers have one each and race in them. They love the door and scooting all over the floor or yard. Yes, they can be difficult to put together but I'm a 60 year old grandmother and did it myself. Make sure the plastic is removed from the hole part and add a little oil to help parts slide together. Don't hesitate to push hard. This car is tough!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has the Cozy Coupe gotten smaller? It seems to me that the one I just purchased for my granddaughter is smaller than the one my granddaughter had. Is it true? Other than that, my daughter practically lived in hers 20+ years ago!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from re Assemble- follow instruction video! I am a first-time mom, and I bought this product for my 10 mo old boy. Before assembled it, I had viewed "little-cozy-coupe-assembly-instruction" at Little Tikes website for about 5 times. After that, I opened the box and followed "STEP by STEP"...including freeze instruction video...then...I assembled it MYSLEF. The key is to follow and watch carefully and freeze "instruction video" step by step...I meant STEP BY STEP...make sure that you have all tools that's recommend...power screw and hammer. My 10 mo boy was sooo happy to see and just be inside this "coupe/car". He is 13mo now, and he spends a lot of time going in and out and out and in of this coupe...or just sitting inside the coupe smiling at me. I cant wait for him to "ride" this car soon. P.S. one of red cap at tire fall out. I just hope tire won't come out. Highly recommend this product regardless its big size (I live in a small apt). Con- has to bend over to push car!!! Back can hurt and feel tired. Wondering if I can install a push bar somewhere in the back of coupe......anyone has any idea?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charley Loves Cozy Cruizen!!! My daughter LOVES her Cozy Coupe and so does Mommy when she was smaller I loved how it had a floor board in it so her feet wouldn't drag... The Cozy coupe has made leaps and bounds since I was a little girl. I love that the doors lock as well so she didn't fall out.. My special needs nephew had one when he was small as well he loved it and still tries to play with my daughters now even though he is WAY to big. My niece and my daughter fight over it, and her spray and rescue fire truck even if they don't want to play with it they don't want the other one in it. It was quite funny to watch my 1 year old beating up her 3 year old cousin... It's still funny 7 months later. You would think they were siblings I absolutely love little tikes I would recommend this to anyone with a little one!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WARNING!!! Its a great toy and my son LOVES it! But a warning to parents....There are little red caps on the wheels, the caps stay on good but the flat circle top of the cap breaks off after a while and my son choked on one. Be sure to check them before every use and if they are about to come off then break them off before you kid does.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smaller than our old Cozy Coupe The kids love it but I'm disappointed that it is smaller than the older one we have. The 3 year olds still want to use it, but they are just too big for the new one. I like the cut out handle in the back for ease of putting it away at the end of the day. Don't really like the eyes!
