How do you get your children to understand when it's time to get up? SIMPLE "stay in bed until you see the sun!" This updated version of the Gro-clock uses fun images of the stars and sun to communicate when to go back to sleep and when it's time to get up. Due to popular request, this 2010 version of the Gro-Clock has a new feature allowing parents to choose whether or not to display the digital clock during the usual ‘stars to sun’ countdown. So for older children, they can now start to learn digital time, as well as look for the arrival of the sun! The Gro-clock also comes with a beautifully illustrated book which helps to encourage children to stay in bed longer, which means more sleep for them and more sleep for you! "No more getting up at 5am!". It is this combination of the simple glowing images and the bedtime story book which has already made the Gro-Clock a phenomenal success.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well The Gro clock works wonders for early risers as long as parents are going to stick to enforcing it. If not, well then it's not really going to work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Game Changer! At the age of 3.5 my daughter stopped sleeping through the night. She had developed anxiety and didn't want to be alone in her bedroom, then when we finally did get her to sleep in her room she would wake up in the middle of the night. We finally caved and got a gro clock as everybody said it would work wonders, I was sceptical but desperate. The first night we set it up she was so excited about it and went to bed and slept in her bed alone the whole night. We haven't looked back since! It was a lifesaver!! We just purchased a second one for our younger daughter as she will be transitioning into a bed shortly. Such an amazing product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too bright We bought this clock knowing it wasn't magic and wouldn't make our son stay in his bed right away. It's a great idea. He loves the concept and watching for the sun to come up, but it's far too bright, even on the dimmest setting. The blue colour lights up his whole room so much that he seems to stay awake longer. We ended up removing it from his room and may just return it altogether.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life Changing Product! My 3 year old son was waking up between 4-5 am for months. In desperation, I splurged and bought the Gro Glock. I was very skeptical but the product worked immediately! We slowly moved up his wake up time in 15 minute increments and now one month later he is getting up at 7am. My son knows that he can only get out of bed to go to the bathroom but must return to his bed until "the sun comes up". There was a little resistance at first but the sun/star visual made it very easy for him to understand and follow. The instructions were a little complicated, but we watched a Youtube video and had no problems. I love this product and would highly recommend it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome clock! My 4 year old loves this clock. We have fun setting it each night and he doesn't get out of bed until the sun comes up in the morning. I especially like how you can set it for another 30 minutes of sleep after a late night and he still follows the rules. Once he's older, the time display feature will be useful for learning to tell time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Promising.. but not perfect I bought this for my 4 (almost 5) year-old daughter to encourage her to stay in her room until the right time. For the most part she understands, but there are days she chooses to ignore it. However, it does help a child understand day and night. She's also thrilled to have her own clock. ***Read the manual and teach yourself how to use the clock first before putting it in your child's room. There's a small learning curve.***

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good clock I bought this for my 3 yr old. It's helped somewhat, and has improved her nights. She loves the story that goes with the clock. I found the instructions hard to follow for setup. But now that I figured it out, it's easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best clock for toddlers I purchased this product over a year ago and I recommend it to all parents who have a child who likes to wake up at the crack of dawn. Comes with a little story book as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life-changing! Our 18-month-old daughter was waking up at 4:30 every morning until we got this clock three months ago. It seemed gimmicky to me, but I was overtired enough to try it. After 2 nights of telling our daughter we'd see her when the sun came up, she started sleeping until at least 6:00, and now wakes up calling, "Mummy! Daddy! Sun!" There must be other ways of training kids to put themselves back to sleep, but this worked for us very quickly, and without any tears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It REALLY works! this has been a life changer for our 2.5 year old son.  He used to wake between 5:30-6:15, despite not being well rested and we tried everything to get him back to sleep.  After hearing mixed reviews, we decided it was worth a shot.  Our son now knows that "stars mean bedtime, and we wake up when the sun is up" and he abides.  We have experimented by changing the wake up time, but he still isn't up before the sun.   It does require setting every night, which I didn't realize, but it's now part of our bedtime routine.  Definitely recommend!
