Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent mid-price option 'Bought as a Christmas gift, it's a nice lower-priced option than the full-sized Hatchimals. Allows kids to collect further pieces and extends the life and playability of the toy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok, Not Great I have 3 kids ages 8,7 and 4 and they were very excited to open this toy and play with it. It is very nice looking in the package. Once we did open it the kids immediately hatched the egg. It hatches differently then a large hatchimal, if you are familiar. The way a hatchimal normally hatches is very fun and pretty exciting. The way this one hatches is just ok. You manually "hatch" the egg by cracking it with an elevator type compartment. After the hatchimal was out the kids were interested for about 5 minutes and then it sat for a few days. The nursery only comes with 1 hatchimal and I have not been able to find any more eggs at the store so it is fairly boring with just one hatchimal to play with. If you do purchase the nursery I strongly suggest you purchase several eggs to hatch. AT this point we have had the toy opened for about 10 days and I think the kids have only played with it for a total combined time of an hour. If you are expecting the excitement of the larger hatchimal and the interaction after they hatch you will be disappointed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The cuter and more manageable Hatchimals My kids have always been asking for a Hatchimal after seeing the commercials. Electronic toys are fun, but I appreciate toys that allows the kid's imagination to fill in the action. I thought that the Nursery Hatchimal was the perfect solution and a good compromise. My kids were so excited to play with this toy. They gave me lots of hugs and kisses in appreciation. You get the same kind of hatching action, with the help of the mechanical tree. I even enjoyed seeing the little creature peep out. The nursery is an invitation to add more baby Hatchimals, which I think is a brilliant marketing scheme. I don't mind thought, as they are reasonably priced and I like getting them as a reward or incentive to my kids. This toy is currently displayed in a prominent spot for my kids. It will get lots of play. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for my girls I had heard a lot about hatchimals during the holidays when everyone was searching for them as gifts. My daughter is 5 and did not know about Hatchimals at that time. As soon as she saw the packaging she was excited and wanted to play with the nursery. She is very particular about what she will play with. She loved everything about it, the color, the tree and most importantly she was able to spend time using her imagination. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect! The Hatchimals Nursery arrived with a special CollEGGtible that could be hatched by using the Hatching Tree. This was the one downfall we found to the toy. My 6-year-old prefers to hold the CollEGGtibles and hatch them that way, so the tree is mainly used for egg storage. However, all other aspects of the toy were fantastic. Being able to store and display animals on the toy itself is a plus. She particularly enjoyed sliding animals down the slide, swinging them in the swing, and gently spinning them to sleep in the cribs. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from definitely a hit with my girls! I love this toy, but more importantly, my girls did too. They have spent a lot of time playing with this and take turns keeping it in their room. To my surprise, they actually play together with this - so it really spans all their age groups (6-11). I will be searching out this item for upcoming holiday gifts! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Hatchery Nursery was a huge hit! The Hatchery Nursery did not require a lot of assembly or require lots of direction reading. My 7 year old was able to enjoy reading the bold graphics on the packaging, open it herself and start engaging in imaginative play with very little input from us. The packaging was very appealing to her, and she immediately figured out there was an app we could get! She found the whole concept of a Nursery to be adorable. She was curious about the entire set up, but especially liked the discovery of the hatching button. She loved that there were lots of different activities for the hatchimals such as a hatching tree, slide and swing. The little pool really sparked her imagination, and she created little stories for the hatchimals. She has plans for when she gets more Hatchimals! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 5 year old is absolutely in love!! My daughter absolutely LOVES the Nursery! She constantly wants to play with it. It's her go to toy! Definitely cannot go wrong with buying one of these for your kids. Her friends love it too! It doesn't hurt that she's got one of the most sought after toys out there! Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kids loved it - not the greatest design Given the amount of time my girls spent playing with the Nursery Hatchimals I'd have to say it was a decent it. They had a lot of fun cranking the flower up and down - making up games and playing with the baby hatchimal that came with the set. However, from a parent's perspective, it required a lot of assistance to get the toy to crack and hatch the egg to begin with. And the turn crank didn't want to stay seated as the amount of torque required to turn it was too much and the handle kept popping off. Somewhat annoying for my kids as they wanted to do it themselves. For reference my girls are 3 and 7. But, for the right price, it could be worth it given the amount of fun they have with it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Fun with Hatchimal babies! My daughter and son recently received the Hatchimals Nursery Set. They immediately knew how to 'crack' the included Hatchimal Egg and of course, now want more eggs! It was already assembled and easy to play with. They played for a good hour with her additional Hatchimals (little ones) that she already had. They squealed with delight watching the egg crack the first time and had a blast playing with the new baby Hatchimal. They especially enjoyed the slide and making the little babies play. I would definitely recommend purchasing additional Hatchimal eggs to have on hand, because kids will want to crack the eggs over and over. The plus side of this is that new eggs will keep interest in this toy and it will not get old. Definitely will recommend this toy to my friends for their children! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seven year old daughter likes it The first night my daughter played with the Nursery Hatchimal set she said it was "great, great, great" and "really cool". Her favorite features are the slide, the retractable flower, and the little Hatchimal. She said she liked that it hatched using the retractable flower instead of waiting for it to hatch, like other Hatchimals. Her only complaint was the high chair doesn't stay attached to the play set and falls over when you try to put a Hatchimal in it. She's on day three of having the Hatchimal Nursery and her interest has dwindled. The features on the play set are made to entertain a child younger than seven. She still enjoys the egg shell and the Hatchimal. Except for the high chair that doesn't stay attached, the play set is put together well. When asked if she would recommend the Hatchimal Nursery to a friend she said reluctantly said yes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Super cute playset I picked out the Nursery with my six year old in mind as she loves all teeny tiny toys! I also thought my seven and nine year olds would enjoy it as well. The toy looks adorable and is well packaged, it took some mom strength to set it free. It was easy to put together, just pop the handle on. All three of my kids were eager to play with it! They each took turns sending the egg up the tree, even after it had been opened they kept sending it up the tree! Pros: very cute, looks like a tree house lots of places to put small hatchimals fun places to play, slide, pool swing and shower were hits great for imaginative play Cons: on the small side very hard to turn handle handle falls off easily egg does not open all the way, still have to open it by hand after sending up the tree Overall this is a fun set and is very cute. My kids enjoyed the shower and slide the most and really used their imaginations when playing with this. They did not like the handle or the way the "egg crusher" worked or rather did not work. It was hard to turn and only came with one egg to open, Should come with more! When we buy more eggs we will just open them by hand and use this set to play with the cute hatchimals. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adorable Playset I think that this is an adorable playset. The kids love it and I have already had to buy additional pieces for them so they will share. Only thing is that the Hatchimals hatch on the toy and not in the hands of the kids. My daughter will play with this for hours and even by herself! Also is a great display for the Hatchimals. Its a great way to encourage cleanup! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adorable, but.... We just got the Hatchimals Colleggtibles Hatchery Nursery Playset and my 5 year old daughter loves it. It is very cute and small enough to put away in a storage drawer if you don’t want it out. It’s also small enough that if you wanted to bring it with you somewhere, it shouldn’t be too much of an issue other than that the figures are small and would be easy to lose. So, while my daughter loves it, I’m a bit torn. It is cute and has little interactive parts like a shower (with fake sparking water, a nursery to sleep in, a swing, a slide, a bench and a flower that you can use to help “hatch” your eggs. All in all it was easy to put together and seems to be well built, I do not like the bench though because although there are little notches to put it in, it just keeps falling off. It’s kind of annoying, so my daughter plays without it and is still happy. I’d have to say the big disappointment for her (and for me as a parent because it means needing to spend additional money) is that it only comes with one egg! What is a child supposed to do with one egg/figure? My daughter never had a Hatchimals Colleggtible before and wanted to hatch it using the warmth of her hands rather than the flower, but once it was hatched wanted to know what the flower did and couldn’t try it. Then she asked me to keep the cardboard figures from the box so that her little figure had friends to play with. This toy should really come with 2-3 eggs for the price because you are paying the $25 and then the parent needs to go out an buy additional figures for $5-$25 depending on how many they want. Buying 2 for $5 or 12 for $25 makes you think you need the $25 one to make it worth it, so now your $25 toy becomes a $50 toy. That may be the toy makers intention and if so, I guess it’s pretty smart but it would be really nice to add just one or two additional eggs to the set and let the parents decide whether they want to buy more or not, rather than be almost forced into it. Plus, it’s really fun to hatch the eggs so that, in itself, would make people want to buy more. In conclusion, this is a super fun, cute toy but may end up costing you more money than you expect. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute Imaginitive Play Toy The product is a very cute addition to the hatchimals line in miniature form. My 5 1/2 year old loves to play with little things and can sit for hours making the different things interact with each other. The hatching process was cute, I wish it came with more than one character though, I had to go out and buy a set to get the action of doing it more than once and so she has a few to interact with each other. Overall it's a great toy to use your imagination playing with and a welcome change to the Shopkins craze my little one has been in lately. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neatest toy on the market! This is the neatest toy out there for kids today! We are grateful for the fun AND the empathy the Hatchimals Surprise is teaching the eight year old in our home. Our girl, Violet, is the proud nurturer of the most adorable toy in the world --HATCHIMALS SURPRISE! Violet loves everything about them but when pressed she states that one of her favorite parts of owning these Hatchimals is "Watching them hatch! It was so cute and now I get to take care of them!". She could barely contain herself when not just one, but TWO hatched from a single egg. Violet enjoys taking care of and playing with these fluffy little critters. In fact she carries the color coded chart that accompanied their egg around so she can figure out what the eye colors mean as quickly as possicle in order to feed, burp, warm, and play with her recently hatched charges -both are very well attended to. We have hesitated to buy Hatchimals in the past, only because the kiddo doesn't normally play with toys more than a few minutes after unpackaging -not the case here! Outside of school she hasn't left them alone! It really is adorable how interactive these fluff balls are. Thankfully these cute little sounds they make are not annoying -but actually quit calm and cute. These are not just toys, they are an interactive experience! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delightful fun My daughter was thrilled to play with the nursery. She loved hatching an egg in the little egg cracker elevator and then used it to lift little hatchimals up and down. She loves all the cute little spots to place her hatchimal friends. Some feedback for future toy sets is that a lot of hatchanimals catch on the slide because of their wings so it would be great if it was wider and she also mentioned that most hatchimals in the pool are too tall to allow another hatchimal to swing so she would love it if the swing was raised a tiny bit to accommodate. She has spent many happy hours playing with her new toy. It also is cute storage for them when playtime is over. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Playset for Imagination My 7 year old was excited to receive this playset. She was aware of Hatchimals from television commercials. She loved hatching the egg and being surprised by the little creature (we got a bird). She liked that the egg could be used as a nest. She also loved all of the hidden features of the playset. She was disappointed that the set only included one Hatchimal; very few of her other figures are small enough to fit in it, and that hampered her play. As the parent, of course, that means spending extra money for more Hatchimals. I think including two figures might be a bit better. She has returned to this toy repeatedly for its imaginative opportunities, however. And if we do get more Hatchimals, it includes a feature that hatches the eggs! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great toy for 5 year olds The Hatchimals Nursery is very cute. It has a lot of "areas" for the hatchimals to play in. It's made for the tiny hatchimals and its main draw is the egg cracking tool that is at the center of the toy. It took some muscle to operate it but my 5 year old was able to do it. She wants more hatchimals to play with in the nursery. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute for the kid who likes collectibles My 6 year was overly excited at the packaging for the nursery and recognized hatchimals immediately. Ripped it open and found a snall egg that she could insert into a flower and crank the nursery to open her surprise. So exciting and fun. It only came with one egg to crack so she was a little disappointed and continued to explore the nursery. So may ways to hang and store yiur collection, if you have one. She did find a way to launch it from the nursery and that entertained her for a while. So for those kids who love thier collections of characters and have a great imagination, this is a great item to hatch your eggs and to display when you are not playing with them. Only downfalls are that the bench falls off when moved easily, the baby hatchimals do not sit up and roll flop over in the display which isnt a big deal unlesa yoir kid expects that and you really need to have more than one hatchimal in your nursery to get use of it. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Way more fun!! My biggest stumbling block with Hatchimals — and the reason I haven’t bought more of them for my girls (ages 6 and 8) — is that after they hatched, my girls lost interest. The Hatchimals Nursery is a game-changer!! My kids, especially my 6 year old, played with it for a looong time and have continued to do so over several days. There are so many more avenues for creative play with this set; it’s much more engaging and just plain fun. Finally, I get the Hatchimals charm:)) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute Playset for Collectibles Hatchimals Hatchery Nursery Playset is a cute "playground" for all your Hatchimals CollEGGtibles. There are 35 spots for them to sit, swing and even twirl. Rated 4 out of 5 by from One excited 5 year old! Hatchimals are VERY popular around our house. When these arrived at our door, my 5 year old was very happy. The product was well made. I like how it helps to "hatch" the egg. She had played with it for the last few days. I have no complaints with it other than it should come with more than 1 egg. Unfortunately, my daughter left the figure that was in the egg and our 1 year old ShitzuPoodle ate it :( Needless to say I have to run out to replace it. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great nursery for hatchimals The hatchimals nursery is super cute. There is a section for them to swing, slide, play in the pool, a shower and the best part is a hatchimal egg is born in the center of the game. Easily insert the small hatchimal egg into the center and crank to crack and release the egg. The product only comes with one egg. The most fun is cracking the egg to reveal what is inside. So remember to purchase extra small hatchimal eggs for additional fun. I have this 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that the crank made a weird nose when lifting up the egg. Otherwise it is great and I want to get more cute little hatchimal eggs!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More Hatchimals! I opened the Nursery Hatchimals product the other day and let my 7 year old daughter play with it. She enjoyed hatching the egg most of all, which was over in about 15 seconds. She played with the Hatchimal in the treehouse with the slides and swings and enjoyed it for awhile. She keeps asking for more Hatchimals to watch them hatch and so her first one can have a friend. It is a cute product, but I wish it had at least one more hatchimal included in the package. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hatched some creative playtime! This morning my girls (ages 6 & 9) excitedly helped open the Hatchimals Nursery box & read the directions. The packaging was easy to open and remove the toy. The directions were clear enough for a 6 yo to read and follow. The anticipation of the cracking of the egg ended with squeals as the egg opened! The girls are currently playing nicely with the Hatchimals toy and have already asked if they could use some of their own money to buy some more Hatchimals to go with the set. It would be nice for a toy this size to include 2 Hatchimals since they are small, but it works to get us I purchase a few more! I wasn't sure how much the 9 yo would like it, but she is playing as much as the 6 yo. The girls say "It's awesome and fun!" [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adorable!!! My daughter loves this little toy! It comes with one egg to hatch but plenty of spots for your child's other hatchimals to play, too. I was impressed with the attention to detail & my daughter loves the little shower & high chair sections. There is a swing and a slide and lots of little spots for the hatchimals to play. I am giving 4/5 only because the little crank that is supposed to make the flower in the center move up and down comes off easily but it does pop right back on. Overall, an adorable toy and my six year old loves it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 7 year old daughter LOVES this toy My daughter loves this toy! Her favorite part about it is that it has a flower 'egg opener" feature that helps you crack open the hatchimal. It has many spaces (my daughter counted over 20) to display your other Hatchimals, including a swing and a bench. This set included one surprise egg hatchimal. This set will also make a great storage / display when she isn't playing with it. Great toy, my daughter loves it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hatchimals I think my daughter and son has so much fun setting up the nursery. They played with their secret hatchimal (a little baby bird) for over an hour. My daughter put the baby bird in the swing, down the slide, and under the shower. We have been waiting to try a hatchimal and it was very exciting to open the egg and get the baby bird out of the shell. My daughter used the bottom of the shell as a nest and it is literally thr cutest thing ever. One thing to know before opening the package is: don't break your egg open. I almost let my son crack the egg open but after reading the directions on the box it said to place the egg in the flower and then crank it up and it will naturally open the egg. It worked and we were so excited to watch that process. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute animal, tiny size appealing My daughter (5) and I checked out the Hatchimal nursery, and she thought all of the features of the nursery structure were very cute. She particularly liked the playground-type toys, particularly the merry-go-round, where she could let her hatchimal play. She thought the process of cracking the egg was really fun and wanted to do it again. Toward the end, she needed a little help turning the crank to crack the egg, but she liked having me uncover the surprise with her. She enjoys playing with the bird on the toy now, but she's eager to have another animal or two to play with the one she has. The tiny bird is a fun size for her to manipulate and carry around with her. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for a variety of ages My kids, ages 5, 8 and 9, were so excited to get the Nursery Hatchimals kit. They worked together to assemble it and crack open the egg. I think this toy is probably best suited to ages 4-8 but is still fun for older kids. The animals are small so supervision would be required for younger children. Be prepared with some extra eggs on hand because once the first is cracked open the children will want more! The element of surprise is fun and exciting. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful play and display piece! I have two you daughters that love Hatchimals. They recently got into the baby Hatchimals over the summer. We I got the chance to have them try the nursery I was super excited. As a parent the worst thing is toys everywhere and unorganized. I love they can play with this piece but at the same time it can be used as a display piece for their babies. This is not a cheap plastic toy, it’s well made and a toy you don’t have to hide when company is coming over. It has moving parts so it’s fun for my daughters to play and do imaginary play. I see us buying more baby Hatchimals for our nursery very soon! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Hatchimal experience... So this was our first hatchimal experience ever in our house mainly because before it was hard to get a hold of them with the craziness, they were expensive and some of them weren't working for people. That being said my 7 year old daughter and 9 year old son were very very excited when this nursery set arrived. The packaging was pretty easy for them to take it out themselves, the crank for the hatching elevator is hidden underneath so if you don't read the instructions you may miss that piece. I love love love that the high chair and actual Hatchimal are the only pieces besides the big nursery. Once we clicked the crank in place the elevator ran smoothly until it hit the middle section where it actually cracks the egg, it feels like it might break or get stuck but it worked and then came up to the top like it was supposed too. I'm not sure how many Hatchimal eggs will get cracked with continued use but for the first run it was great. The only major complaint is that the instructions showed the Hatchimal that was in the egg so it ruined the surprise for the kids. So for our first Hatchimal experience ever we were very very happy...looks like I know what will be going in the stockings this year. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Daughter is in Love! When my 5-year-old daughter opened the box and saw this Hatchimals Nursery inside, her face absolutely lit up! She put the included Hatchimals CollEggTibles Surprise egg in the flower to hatch it and I helped her crank it to the top to crack the egg. She was so excited to see what was inside! She's been happily playing with the set with her other Hatchimals all afternoon and she couldn't be happier. Mom likes that it's not too big and doesn't take up as much space as some of her other playsets! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 6 year old loves this! My 6 year old daughter loves any kind of little, collectible toy. So I thought she might like this smaller (and more affordable) version of last year’s hot toy, Hatchimals. The play set comes with one egg that hides a tiny Hatchimal. To crack the egg open, you place it in the center of the tree in the play set and wind the crank. It was really easy for her, and she was able to figure it out without reading the directions. The play set has lots of little nooks and crannies for the Harchimals to play in. It also makes a really cute way to display your Hatchimal collection. My daughter loves this play set! They do sell packs of just the Hatchimal eggs, and I can see the fun of cracking open the eggs to find out which tiny surprise is inside lasting for a while in our house! Rated 4 out of 5 by from So ridiculously cute! I have a quick confession. I did not expect to be all that impressed with this toy. But the packaging was so bright and fun that I couldn’t help but smile when I saw it. Once I took a good look at the packaging, I knew the best thing to do was to have my five year old daughter take the lead on this one. The light that went on in her eyes as she looked at the box was priceless. This is a hit! I will say that the inner packaging and small pieces were a little annoying. However, most children’s toys have that defect. The little egg and the hatching process were so adorable. She began to get a little discouraged with the amount of time it took for her to raise the hatching flower from the bottom to the top. But, once she noticed the egg starting to crack, the excitement and anticipation went up immensely. She began to smile and once she was able to pull the Hatchimal from the egg, everything was golden. And now the little animal travels with my daughter where ever she goes. I cannot wait to find and buy as many eggs as possible. As well as little play sets and accessories. This really has the potential to be one of THE hot toys of this Christmas season. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Squeeeel! Super Cute I am so glad they came out with the nursery toy! Its like a playhouse and storage/display. Helps my daughter with imaginative play and is better than keeping the little hatchimals hidden away in a pencil box! My daughter absolutely loves it! She didn't want to go to school this morning so she could have more time to play! This makes me happy that she wants to play with her hatchimals instead of losing interest after opening. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nursery Hatchimals Overall this is a good toy. My daughter was very excited when she saw it & played with it nonstop. The crank was hard for her to turn when it got about halfway up so I had to help her. She likes all the different areas to put the Hatchimal. I think it is a bit young for her, she’s 7, & the newness will wear off fast. It’s nice that you can buy more eggs & renew to excitement of the toy. If it made some sounds that might help keep her playing with it more. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuteness in a hatchible egg! My daughter just fell in love with hatchimals all over again! When I learned one of the hottest new toys for this holiday season was likely to be a hatchimal, I admit, I was not surprised, but I wasn't excited either... I didn't do any research but waited to see what it would be like - and I was amused and pleasantly surprised. And then I gave it to my 5 year old daughter - she has played quietly for the past hour with it, talking to her new friend that came in her egg. Showing him around his new home, and letting him rock in his cribs in the treetops. She has brought other miniature toys into the treetop to show off her new friend and using her imagination. As a parent what I love is how creative it makes her. She took it and made it her own little world of make believe. It also has no batteries and no loud music! I love any toy that keeps her quietly playing while I get dinner done and other chores before we can have family time. This gets a thumbs up from our family! We will be waiting to see if more items get realized in time for the holidays. If not, this will be our go to gift for friends my daughters age. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
