Customer Reviews of Innotab Software Monsters University by VTech

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enter the World of Enchancia! Containing seven different learning games and two creative activities, this software manages to teach counting, colors, shapes, patterns, problem solving and more, all while keeping kids entertained as they help Sofia get to class on Jumble Day at Royal Prep. As with all of VTech's great InnoTab cartridges, this one includes a wide variety of options for children to choose from each and every time they turn it on. Take Flying Horse Riding Class with Sofia and Minimus, create magic paintings with Sofia in Art Class (and tap the magic wand to watch them come to life), learn how Sofia becomes a princess in Story Mode with the interactive e-book, take pictures with favorite characters and scenes, and more. While this cartridge is a bit too easy for my 7-year-old, my 5-year-old loves spending time learning and laughing while marveling at all that is topsy-turvy with Princess Sofia and her mixed up classrooms! Disclosure: I received this item complimentary from VTech for review purposes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fun game for pre-schoolers *I received this game as part of a review* My youngest daughter has quickly become a fan of Sofia the First. All the girls were excited to see this cute game and showing the youngest how to use it. She really likes that there is a story app within the game. She especially the loves the color and shapes games. It's a perfect game for pre-schoolers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute game for any Sofia the First fan Sofia the First is one of my 4 year old daughter's favorite characters- she likes watching the show and now has fun playing this game as well. She can play the game mode, read the ebook or use the photo studio where she can take pictures using different backgrounds and scenes. The ebook reads the book aloud to her while highlighting the words or she can touch each word and it will tell it to her again. There's also a dictionary for certain words which tells her the meanings. I think the only part to the game that my daughter doesn't really like is that you have to find each classroom first, by walking around and getting clues from classmates, before you can play the actual different games themselves. Though there are some mini games to play in between also which is nice. **I was provided with a sample to review by VTech**

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun for little Sofia fans *This game was received as a review* My daughter just turned 7 so this game was a little too easy for her, but she still loves it. This InnoTab game allows children to choose easy or difficult levels. Sofia talks to her friends to get clues to find the door for her class, as they have been changed. Behind the doors are the classes where games are played such as matching game, art class and find the missing pieces. The game has seven learning games and two creative activities to teach counting, colors, patterns, problem solving and more! Definitely fun and educational but I wouldn't recommend for 6 or older, possibly 6 if they still need learning help.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My 13 year old daughter even loved it! Our eight year old daughter loves princesses so Princess Sofia was perfect for her. Even though it is geared towards younger children she enjoyed playing the activities. Our younger boys benefited from the educational activities as well as had fun in the process. My 13 year old daughter even loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Entertaining Story and Educational Game My daughter loves Sofia the First and of course this game was a huge hit. This game follows Sofia through a day at Royal School. But it’s Jumble day and everything is a mess. It’s the players job to help Princess Sofia through her day by getting her to classes like art, horse riding class and other fun games. There are 7 learning activities that work on colors, shapes, creativity (painting), patterns, and more. You can also ‘read’ the story of how Sofia became a princess. The game was easy to play and very age appropriate. My daughter also really like story mode. Disclosure: I was provided this product by VTech in order to facilitate my review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Ton of Fun For A Young Learner! The InnoTab Sofia the First software was a very cute game that any Sofia the First fan will enjoy. My six year old as already a fan so she was excited to try this for herself and put it to the test. As a parent I watched intently to see what the game could provide outside of just entertainment value. I have to say that I was impressed with what I found. The game itself was both educational and entertaining like other Innotab games that we have tried, but this one really drew my six year old in. She loved playing the game to be able to solve the clues and interact with Sophia's friends. In watching my daughter I came to see that this one was quite a bit easier for her to master than some others, which made me think that a younger child that six might be a bit more challenged by the games themselves, though my six year old, still had a blast with the game itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fun game Both of my daughters (3 1/2 and 8) love this game, even though it's obviously too easy for my older daughter. They love the assortment of games (and I love that they're educational). They really enjoy taking pictures of themselves with Sofia and with the fun backgrounds, and the e-book is lots of fun for them. My little one can follow along with the story while it's being read so she can practice her word recognition. Overall it's a very fun game and a great addition to our InnoTab! I was provided a sample from VTech to review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love that it uses the camera in the app! My kids are huge Sofia fans after we met her in Disneyland, so I love that they now think they are friends with her. When we received the Sofia the First InnoTab Game for review they were crazy excited and have been playing it almost every day. My daughter loves "studying" (as she calls it) while reading the e-book, and I've noticed her reading along with it, which is huge for her. My son's favorite is the photo app where he can take pictures of his toys and add them to Sofia backgrounds, and he can play with that for hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of fun! My girls have really enjoyed this game, and we think my son will too-if he can ever steal it away from the girls. Some of our favorite features are: The art class where you can make your drawings come alive thanks to a magic wand feature. Dancing class (apparently their is a boy to dance with ;) ). Racing magic Pegasus while learning patterns. All three of my girls, ages 2 1/2, 4, and 8 have been taking turns playing them. My 8 year old is above the 6 year old cutoff, and did complete the games in just one day, but even she really enjoyed it. Great game! *we received a complementary product in exchange for this review*

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of fun ways to learn and play with Sofia My daughter is 4 years old and loves the show Sofia the First. She received the Sofia the First InnoTab Game for review and loves playing all the different games. She likes the E-Book the best - I can definitely see that it's helped build her reading confidence because it's interactive and goes word by word so she can follow along just like she's reading a book with my help. Another favorite is the photo app. Using the InnoTab camera, my daughters can take pictures of themselves with Sophia or with backgrounds that make it look like you're in a scene from the show. I like that the games and activities adjust as your child gets older, so there are always new ways to play the games. Definitely recommended!
