Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Pre-K and K students I bought this for my Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. They absolutely love using the little mouse! It took some time for them to figure out how to properly connect the green square pieces. If not connected correctly, the platform sits crookedly. They are excited to create new paths to help the mouse get to the cheese. They do need some help with more complicated paths.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems with Mouse I bought 4 Code and Go Mouse sets for my class. We have used them a couple of times and now 3 of the 4 mouses will not go straight. I have changed batteries and to the frustration of my students, this is now unusable. :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mouse Doesn't Go Straight My 4 year old loves it and it worked perfectly the day we opened it but the next time the mouse started curving when you program the "forward" key. It has made it unusable and we'll be calling customer service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dissapointed I was so happy to add this product to our Learning Resouces collection. But unfortunately as you can read above the mouse gets quickly out of order. We could only code the mouse one play.Without mouse the set is useless .I try to contact them how to do via Facebook I couldn't get any feedback. If they don't advise what to do with broken mouse the set will be rubbish. You have to buy a lot of mouses to play this set long term

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great company to work with! I used this as a group activity with kindergarten. You have to teach the kids not to "rev" them like a toy car. You must let the motor drive the wheels. If the mouse goes the wrong direction you have to teach them to pick the mouse up and hit the yellow button to stop it. Needless to say, a few got broken. I sent in the purchase information and the serial numbers and got replacements, under warranty, BY RETURN MAIL! It took 3 days! On explore day, the kids love making the mice giggle with the cheese. They find the magnet pretty fast. On learn to play day, it is easier to assemble the board into the rectangle and use the easy cards. Some kids really like setting up the mazes more than programming the mice. Over all, this is a great toy and Learning Resources is a great company to work with.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from STEM in the classroom My personal mission as a Kindergarten teacher is to incoporate more STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning within my classroom. I ordered the Code-N-Go Mouse and was nervous about how my students would do with coding and being able to play independently. I was surprised how easy and kid-friendly the product is! My students hardly needed my help and my favorite thing was to watch them collaborate as they learned through trial-and-error. My mouse did break and would only go in a circle, but the company was easy to deal with and is sending a replacement. So great to work with a friendly and accommodating company!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code and Go Mouse All the Way! I've been searching for toys that are STEM related so I can get my boys (age 6 and 8) introduced to the world of Science, Tech, Engineering, and Mathematics. Code and Go Mouse was a great way to bring this world of Coding to them. They loved the mouse and the sounds it makes. The set up was a breeze! I didn't even have to give them much guidance on what to do. They opened it and got right into it. My youngest really took to it and was so proud each time he completed an activity challenge. He likes to create his own challenges too. Its a great toy for individual play and also a small group activity. I highly recommend this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Work Awesome idea and seems like a good product, but after running it 1 time, the mouse no longer follows the input commands. It will sometimes more forward 1 step, but no longer turns or does multiple commands. Hard reset, new batteries etc don't help it either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set What an awesome learning I wanted to share this really neat learning & building hands-on coding skills. The neat thing about this is your children can build their own maze, and then they can use the coding cards to create a step by step to create a path for the programmable robot "Colby Mouse". The next step was to program the sequence of steps, and then watch Colby Mouse find the cheese. My granddaughter had a blast with creating the different paths for Colby Mouse to follow and to find the cheese. All, while she is, was playing with this she was learning to create paths and learning skills. Now, what comes in the Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set includes 30 double sided coding cards, cheese wedge, 10 doubled sided activity cards and an activity guide to provide a hands-on introduction to coding concepts. Now on to creating your own path, there are 16 maze grids to create a 20" x 20" maze board, 22 maze wall, and 3 tunnels for the endless possibilities. Now for the cute Colby Mouse he lights up, makes sounds, and Colby Mouse has 2-speed features along with colorful buttons that match the coding cards which makes for easy programming and sequencing. Colby Mouse takes 3 AAA batteries (Not Included in the Kit). With this Maze, you can add multiple players with Jack, the programmable Robot Mouse (Not Included in the Kit) you would have to purchase the add-ons. This is a great skill learning game for children and simple for them to setup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought these for use at our school, but tried it first with my 6 year old son. He loved it!! He loved setting up the parts to match the cards and he let out a cheer when the mouse got the cheese! This is a great intro to coding and computer science. There are other similar products out there, but this is a great product for a lower price. The orange tunnels don't fit super well so I tend to just reposition them wherever I feel they should be. The mouse doesn't always turn a full 90 degrees depending on the surface of play, but a simple nudge will set him back on track. I'd recommend it to others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Makerspaces I use Robot Mouse in my Makerspace in the Library and during our lunchtime Coding Club. I absolutely LOVE this product. It is easy to understand, interactive, and FUN! The color coded buttons on the top of the mouse make it easy for the students to think through and set up the "line of code" and the pre-made maps are very helpful. Kids from 6-11 years old have thoroughly enjoyed it when I have pulled it out. The thought process that they have to use is a great lead in to talking about coding and how coding has to be specific and step-by-step. Bottom line: I would recommend this to any educator in an elementary setting who is interested in teaching kids about coding or even just thinking logically.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Educational, engaging and Fun My kids absolutely LOVED this, especially my 8 year old. The first time we played with it, he played with it for almost 2 hours. He whizzed right through the 20 cards and started creating his own mazes and "obstacle courses" for Colby the mouse. Set up and clean up was easy, the kids loved the little noises Colby made when he connected with the cheese, and they loved how his eyes lit up. I'm very satisfied and happy with this toy, and I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Is it tough enough? This is a great idea for coding! I even bought a second mouse. However after just a bit of use my blue code and go mouse doesn't go straight. It goes in circles . something is wrong with the metal ball at the tip! Can't find ant warranty info. If I could return it for a working model I would be happy. The extra purple mouse I bought works great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Coding Pack We love this set. As a mom to children 7531I really appreciate the durability of this product. Solid quality plastic. :) and the pieces are just big enough that I don't panic when my boys are on the floor coding the mouse and the baby is crawling around. Each time I pull this set out my boys play together for hours. They love it. They experiment, try new things, coach each other, and focus together which is amazing. I agree with other reviewers that the green square pieces do not easily slide together. It was cleverly designed so no matter how they go the pieces can connect to each other, but I think I would have preferred rotating magnets instead of hooks that are just finicky. As for the coding cards, it's a great idea but I wish I would have read the picture on the back from card 1 to encourage my boys to "write down" what steps they programmed instead of just remember. It took a few days stuck at more challenging mazes for that habit to click. But for a toy that gets them all cheering together, this is very successful. We have already purchased a second set to use for racing/larger courses this winter. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review from House Party/Chatterbox. Rated 4 out of 5 by from A fun experience We received this item for free from House Party Chatterbox. The set arrived quickly and my kids (8 & 11) were instantly excited and intrigued. My 11 year old couldn't wait to get started. She began setting up a complicated maze for the mouse, but soon realized there was a bit of a learning curve to getting him to go the way. The three of us worked together to figure out the right coding for the path. I loved that it was something we could all do as a family. The mouse is so cute and it's fun to get it right and make him find the cheese. There are lots of different configurations that can be set up. The only downside for us is that my kids seemed to lose interest fairly quickly. However, my youngest loves to play with the mouse on its own and tries to make it pull/push other toys around. They haven't really brought out the maze pieces for a couple weeks. They might just be a bit on the older side of the age range. Overall, we think it's a fun, interactive toy. It's easy enough for kids to understand, but still provides a good challenge and encourages problem-solving. It's a bonus that the mouse is so cute and the colors are bright and fun. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun set for children This is a really cool toy. It comes with lots of floor and barrier pieces to create many different paths for the mouse. The cards are really handy for younger children to make mazes for the mouse. The floor pieces are a little too hard for my youngest to connect by herself, so this could make some children frustrated. I also wish it came with some little bags for the smaller pieces for storage, especially with the hole in the box. This is a great toy for multiple age children to play with together. This product was received for free from house party to test out with my children. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved it! Both of my kids (8&4) loved it! My 8 year old loved that she could follow the design cards and my 4 year old loved coming up with his own plan for Colby. They even worked together to se if they could get Colby to reach our cat! This was a great product that I would recommend to anyone especially looking for a great gift for preschool/kindergarten age children. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of family fun We were so excited to be selected for this Chatterbox program! My daugher is in pre-school, and she is very interested in learning anything and everything right now. She shows interest in activities and games that are what I consider to be above preschool level, and we already recieve monthly STEM activity boxes for her which she loves. The Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set did not dissapoint! We were all excited to open it and get coding right away! The pieces are simple and relatively easy to set up and move around, and the instructions are written clearly. I appreciate the quick start guide. It did require some adult assembly and instruction to get her started with this, but within 30 minutes or so she was having a blast figuring out codes for the "robot mouse". It is fun for our whole family, and is a particuarly good bonding activity for my "techy" husband to do with her. The two of them set up many race tracks before I could even finish cooking dinner. One piece of feedback is that at first my husband especially was very nervous about the floorpieces breaking. They seem a little challenging to put together and move around easily, and we were pretty sure if left to her own devices our usually careful but excited daughter would still probabable snap a plastic piece off somewhere. But, since we were given this toy to test, test it we did! For the rest of the evening we allowed her to move the pieces on her own and only helped if requested. Nothing broke! The whole time we have had this toy and have been using it we have left the setup up to her in this way without incident. Apparently it seems some thought and testing was given to this particular scenario one often faces with kids toys and games. Istill have to dock a star though because I feel like the floor/base pieces could use some fine tuning as to how they fit and stay together. The arches and purple maze walls ad fun color and interest, and the little mouse and its noises are adoreable! For an educational game this is really a fun idea, and I am ipressed with the quality and entertainment value for a wide age range. The guidance cards are great to have, but we are a "dig right in" hands on type of family, so we have found ourselves not using the cards so much and just making our ouwn adventures. For children who learn well with and enjoy flash cards, I can see them being a great gudeas they are fun and easy to use. I think based on what we have experienced with this toy, I would recommend it at full price. Hours of entertainment and bonding time will be well worth the small investment. I received a free Chat Pack to test and give my honest feedback on this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toy for the budding techie! My five year old is very into STEM activities, and since my husband is an engineer we've been very enthusiastic about supporting and encouraging those interests. The code and go mouse is a great way to teach basic concepts of coding while still holding the interest of an energetic kindergartener. He has a blast completing the successively more difficult mazes we'd create, and he was so proud each time the mouse reached the cheese. This a great quality, very engaging toy, and our entire family enjoyed it. It's definitely one we'll be bringing out frequently! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bonding Experience for my boys I received the Code & Go Robot mouse as part of a chat pack from Chatterbox... My boys (6 and 9 years old) had a great time playing with this. It was great to see them using it together. Set up was a bit tricky to get the squares to stay together but aside from that it was a breeze. Now I cant seem to get them away from Colby. =) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Intro to Coding We received a free ChatPack to test the Code and Go Robot Mouse Activity. Let me just say that my 7 year old son was not disappointed! The set includes pieces to make different mazes, a piece of "cheese", and a cute robot mouse. The mazes were difficult to assemble at first but got much easier with practice. The mouse has large, simple buttons which are perfect for little hands. My son's favorite way to play is the more advanced way without the base pieces to the mazes. He really gets a kick out of programming the mouse to travel around the floor to get to the cheese! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun! Even though we got the set for free to review, my older son absolutely loves it (added bonus that it came ON his birthday)! We all still have a good bit to learn about it, we haven't been able to play with it as much as I'm sure he would have liked. The mouse broke soon after receiving it, so we lost over a week of playing with it. I will say the company was great about replacing it, all for free. We homeschool, so I'm sure this will be a big help in the future for some tech geared lessons for both my boys, there's no keeping my three year old away from it either! Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Set Will Get Kids Wanting to Learn to Code I received the Code and Go Robot Mouse Activity Set by Learning Resources for free through chatterbox by House Party in return for my giving an honest review of the toy. And honestly, we love it! What is Code and Go Robot Mouse? Meet Colby, the Programmable Robot Mouse, who will introduce kids as young as 5 to coding. The set encourages kids to build their own mazes, and then program Colby to navigate through. When Colby successfully completes the maze, he gives a rewarding sound and his eyes light up. Using the maze grids, maze walls, and tunnels, Colby can be programmed up to 40 steps and 2 speeds, letting kids use their imagination for unlimited fun on a tabletop or the floor. I can see this toy being enjoyed by ages 5-12, it's a great introduction to coding. So, how can kids as young as 5 program a robot? The first step is to build a maze, using the activity cards as a guide, or let your child get creative with their imagination. Secondly, lay out the coding cards you want Colby to follow. Next using the color coded buttons program Colby, and then watch him race to get the cheese. The directions were very easy to follow, and we had the first maze built and Colby on the move right out of the box. The maze pieces are bright and colorful, Colby's buttons are perfectly labeled and sized, the cards will stand up to being used over and over, everything appears very well made. My 5 year old (starting kindergarten next month) was able to set up the maze on activity card 1 by herself, place the coding cards out in order, and program Colby all by herself! After a few runs using the activity cards she wanted to make up her own mazes. It was at this point it took a few tries to get the coding cards right. If Colby turned too early, she realized she needed to add a "straight" sequence. Or he turned too late, and a "straight" sequence needed to be removed. But she was able to do the trial and error on her own, which gave her a great sense of accomplishment! It was awesome to hear her exuberant "I did it" and see the excitement on her face when Colby reached the cheese on a maze she designed, all by herself. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, Educational, and FUN!! This is an amazing product that focuses on critical thinking, problem solving, and basic program flow. My children (2&5) both had no problem grasping the concept and both enjoyed solving more and more difficult problems. By the end of the 1st week my son was making his own mazes and having the mouse run them backwards for fun. I have really seen a change in his approach to problem solving in his day to day life as a result of this product. Where he used to ask for help with an issue he now takes a step back and thinks the problem through in a incremental manner. The product itself was very well made and I have had zero issues with it thus far. Full Disclosure: This produce was received as part of a chatterbox campaign. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome intro to programming for kids I got the game to review with my 6 year old twin girls' and they love the game. It's a great way to teach them the general concept of programming in an easy way. It's very easy to set the commands for the mouse and it works very well. The girls had to "program" the mouse to go to the cheese and set up a maze that it had to go through. The only thing I found a little annoying was having to use the cancel button to erase the memory between "puzzles" but it's necessary to start anew, just not that easy to remember for the kids. There are ten activity cards included in the game. The cards contain twenty problems and help you get started with an initial setup of each problem. You then place walls and tunnels on the board and then the mouse has to follow your path. I think this game is a great introduction to programming and getting kids interested in how games work and are created instead of just playing them. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful toy with learning! My kids were so excited to receive this in the mail several weeks ago. They have done a few coding games and activities before, but mainly on the computer. I was excited for them to get a hands-on learning toy. Right away, my daughter started programming the mouse and away he went to find his cheese! I am so glad they have this. They don't see it as a part of learning or school, they see it as fun. My son has enjoyed setting up his own obstacle course for my daughter to solve. I highly recommend this to others for a great hands-on learning fun! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review I was so excited to be able to try this product for free for my boys 4 & 7 but also nervous. Was it going to be to hard for them? Definitely not!! My 4 year old, yes, he needs instruction through out it but my 7 year old needed help to get going then handled it like a pro! Very engaging for kids!! I'm actually getting ready to sub it into game night for the family. I plan to order the extra mouse so both boys can program their mouses at opposite ends. Very easy to follow instructions and just an all around great way to entertain youth that is driven by technology these days. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Colby The Robot Mouse is tons of fun! The Code & Go Robot Mouse from Learning Resources is alot of fun, as well as a STEM toy. It includes: Colby, the programmable mouse; Coding cards, Maze pieces and walls, and activity cards. The idea is very easy. Have your child pick an activity card that shows how to construct a maze. Next use the coding cards which show what buttons to pies on Colby to get him to move in that direction. Lastly, hit GO and watch Colby get to the cheese! My kids really loved programming Colby and using their own ideas for mazes. It brought out their creativity and problem solving skills. The green maze pieces were a bit difficult to connect, as they don't stay connected well and have to be connected in a certain way. Other than that, it's a really fun educational toy that kept my children (ages 4-9) busy for hours. I recommended this to teachers, parents, and daycare providers as this toy has great educational benefits. I received this product complimentary from House Party. #CodeAndGoPack #Sponsored [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for learning sequencing of actions to do simple coding I was given a Code & Go Robot Mouse free as part of a Chat Pack from House Party to use with my 4 1/2 year old daughter. I was a chemistry/biology teacher and my husband is a tech-ed teacher and both of us thought this would be a great way to engage our daughter early. All the good things: 1 -My daughter loved the concept of a mouse trying to get the cheese. She was pretty engaged and wanted to get the mouse to the cheese. 2- She loved the ACTION button making the mouse, Colby, either make noise, flash or move forward/back. She always wanted to do it. 3-We liked the two setting speeds and did the Hyper speed just for fun. 4- We liked that you didn't have to use the green board pieces...especially if you just wanted to have a bit of fun or if your child is more advanced. Items of concern: 1- My husband had a hard time putting all the pieces back in the box...but I honestly didn't find that a concern. 2-Although on a flat surface, our mouse often didn't turn exactly left or right at times plus sometimes overshot the squares. This may be due to all the actions my daughter used in the coding process plus every time Colby hit a purple wall, it would flex and possibly set it off less than what it should have been. 3-We both understood how to help our daughter use the cards for coding (she's younger than the suggested age) which included putting Colby and the cards on the board while she moved the mouse around to get the correct sequence for coding Colby. She would not have been able to put them in front of her like they show on the box/directions. I would assume some younger users are also more concrete learners and would benefit from an even more directed method of programming (like moving Colby on the board and putting down the cards on the spaces like we did). Overall, I would say this was educational and a good start to get her interested in math/science/computers. I don't think I would personally spend that amount of money for a young child and would at least wait until she'd be a bit older - like 6 years old. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review What a fun set! There are so many options to play with. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Code Robot Mouse My kids were so excited to set this up and play! It was most fun for my 5,6, & 8 year olds. They set up several different tracks using the cards that the game came with, then designed some of their own. The pieces were easy for them to set up themselves for independent play. I received this product for free in exchange for a review. But would definitely purchase it if I hadn't. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Engaging My children were very excited to open this box! The directions are easy to follow and there are many mazes to make. It helps my 7 yr old slow down in order to get all of the steps correct for the mouse to make it through the maze. We were fortunate to get this through house party chatterbox for free to be able to try it. My 7 and 11year olds played it together!! #codeandgo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chatterbox Code & Go Fun!!!!! This was one of our favorite Chatterbox invites. We all had lots of fun playing with the Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set. The coding cards were a great way for my younger son to keep track of all the steps. And the mouse made great noises upon completion to let you know it was a success. All 3 of my kids enjoy this activity. They have shared it with their cousins and friends and everyone has lived it. I would definitely recommend this activity set to anyone with kids. It's a great game to play but also a great learning activity. I know we will be h I got fun with this for a long time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What an amazing toy! This is an amazing toy and my 7-year-old daughter loves it! She immediately picked up on how to program it and how to accomplish the "challenges" on the cards. She did grow beyond those quite rapidly, and started creating her own courses for Colby. I do see her getting bored of it relatively quickly, because she doesn't have anything to specifically challenge her to keep coming up with more complicated paths. I would love to see intermediate or expert-level expansion packs of cards. In contrast, our 4.5-year-old is not quite ready for this yet. She thinks it's super fun and cool, but doesn't understand how to really use it. She did have fun watching her sister play with it though! My only negative comment about this toy is that it is somewhat delicate. Both of my daughters naturally started fiddling with Colby during downtime, like when somebody was setting up the course, and the wheels were the first target. Within a day, the wheels came out of alignment, so he now drives a bit crooked. He still works, but we have to keep an eye on him and keep him from veering off-path when the wheels don't cooperate. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great STEM Activity! Finding those games that will help to build skills that are useful for our kids futures is something I enjoy seeking out and sharing. And with this activity set, we get the tools we need for the kids to not only have fun while they play, but also build those skills in coding and promote STEM! The kids can create their own paths as they create with the different grids. The maze if fun to build and navigate and when it comes to the final, they can watch as their mouse races to get through the mazes they create! Making this fun activity set a great one to have in the home to promote STEM learning! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Endless Combos of Fun! We have tried one another coding board game in the past and have found it to be relatively boring - not so with the Code and Go Robot Mouse! My five year old picked up on the aspects of the coding process quickly, and loved not only programming the mouse to complete the maze cards provided, but creating his own mazes and even setting up the mouse to work on the hardwood floor around his own preset obstacles. He played with it for several hours, and was excited to show me how he made the mouse move through the mazes. So why only give four stars instead of five? There are a few areas where I think the product is lacking a bit. If you dont place the mouse just so, he goes crooked, and sometimes misses the cheese, or falls off the maze track. My five year old found this very frustrating. Additionally, the maze track doesnt work very well on carpet - this should be played on hard surfaces only. Lastly, the maze track pieces, while not completely difficult to put together, sometimes fit together awkwardly, which makes the mouse get stuck, or move crookedly. Overall, this is a fantastic intro to coding/programming. It is challenging for my five year old, but there are enough activities and ways to use the mouse, that I can see him enjoying this product for quite a while. Please note, we received this product for free as a HouseParty CHatterbox host, in exchange for this review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun for big and little kiddos What a fun toy, so excited we received this toy for free in exchange for an honest review! Both my big girls (7 & 6) and my 3 yr old were able to successfully play with this toy. All 3 kids too turns building different pathways and seeing who could get their mouse to find the cheese. The older girls were able to enjoy this toy with just the initial explanation on how to use it, and my 3 yr old was able to play with occasional verbal cues. This is a great intro to coding for any young kid. Will be on the look our for more of these STEM toys from Learning Resources! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game for problem solving and fine motor skills I was a Chatterbox™ participant and received a free Chat Pack for my honest review. My 4.5 year old enjoyed playing this. We started off using the coding cards to learn how to play and code. As he started to figure it out and have fun we then moved on to making our own paths and sequences. If Colby didn't make it to the cheese the first time, he didn't get upset, we just tried it again! When we were successful, he was excited that he just programmed Colby to find the cheese. This will be a game we can play for a long time. I plan to set up the coding cards next to an empty coding grid and see if he can build a maze from that. With the box having a hole in the lid, I would recommend storing the pieces in a seal able bag. This game is great for problem solving and fine motor skills. Don't forget to have 3 AAA batteries on hand to play! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very creative and fun!!! Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set is a very creative and fun toy. My 6yr old son loved it. He understood the game and got the hang of coding the mouse very quickly. He loves the different combinations he can use it with and also keeps him occupied for long time. He was able to assemble the base easily. He understood the activity cards and was able to put the walls in place accordingly. Sometimes he makes his own paths and code the mouse different ways to keep it interesting. I received this product for free in return for honest review. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review We found the product to be of high quality. The tiles clicked together easily even for our 5 year old that has some dexterity issues at time. The mouse was cute with its chirps and flashing eyes. Both of my younger kids enjoyed figuring out how to get him to the cheese. We are very thankful to have been able to receive this product for review. We have and will recommend to our friends. The kids can't wait to play with it more later. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for all ages I received this product for free and my 3 boys (8,6, and 3) enjoy playing it both alone and together. I like that it can be as difficult as you want to make it. That versatility makes it great for multiple ages. The mouse works both on the base created with the green tiles or on a solid surface in your home. My kids have made their own mazes by using toys and stuffed animals as the pathways and obstacles. My only complaint is that the green base tiles don't stay together very well which makes it difficult if you need to change your location for any reason (like when the baby wakes up and starts trying to join in the fun!). It would also be nice if there were a website to get additional maze diagrams once you have completed the set provided with the game. I love that it allows us to enjoy STEM elements in a fun way at home! This has been a fun game for the entire family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was excited to get the set because I'm always looking for more activities to do with my kids. I have a range of children in my home from 13 years old to 5 years old, all of us had a great time playing with the robot mouse set. My younger children used the cards and squares to re create pre-planned mazes while the older children created their own. Rated 4 out of 5 by from A lot of fun for all ages! My children and the children in my mothers group all enjoyed this game so much! Ee had fun from the second it hit our doorstep! From unboxing, to figuring out how to play the game and make new puzzles, and it was so great tonsee the light in their eyes as they learned how to code and get the mouse from point A to point B. I would recommend this to any parent looking to find a mentally challenging but fun stimulating game for them as well. I received this as a part of a free chat pack but all my opinions are my own. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Stem fun Boy am I impressed with this adorable little mouse. My 7 year old son understands the concept and we have fun laying out a challenging course then we lay out the programming cards. We go step by step ad plug in the steps and then watch the mouse follow the course and find that cheese. We then change up the code and see what happens. My 4 year old daughter loves the Code and Go Mouse as well. We have so much fun figuring out what coding the mouse does. With the 4 year old the mouse doesn't always find the cheese, but the cheese is often brought to the mouse. Through more practice she'll grasp the concept and be a pro just like her brother. I see us buying a second mouse in the future. Code and Go is super awesome! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the kids loved it ! ! I had all different age groups at my son's house party . I myself was planing on just helping them understand and to get them started and I went right head and wanted to play and played all night with them as well, I would love to see this game played some how with two mice and made some how really have some mice . but even with this one mouse we had a blast i im a chatter box reviewer and I got this item for free and in return I will give a true and honest review, I did not in any way get paid for my review thanks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for a variety of ages My boys, 3 & 8, were thrilled to receive their Code & Go Robot Mouse. It took a few minutes to get the boards set up and to understand the functions on the mouse, but once we did, the boys were off and running. My oldest was able to oversee the activity on his own. When he is not around, my youngest needs a little more assistance. I like the suggestion cards for building different mazes, and I like the arrow cards that the kids can use to help them create their code. I am amazed at how well the boys do, especially my youngest, at getting the mouse through on their first attempt. And I love that they can go off on their own and create their own mazes too. *Note: I received this product to try in exchange for my opinion/review. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of fun. Even for Cats. So we have a couple very inquisitive girls here, 10 and 4 (the two year old is also following in their footsteps) and we thought this would fill some of that idle time of theirs. Was not sure the older kid would get as much out of it as the younger, but she did have quite a bit of fun with it. She was already sort of familiar with the kind of programming a toy like this requires, more so than I at least. The instructions were pretty straight forward and easy to get. The set is pretty easy to set up, some minor difficulties with setting up more challenging tracks than the square, the tabs that connect the pieces can be a little difficult to get spot on, nothing completely irritating though. After we had it set up and ready to go, the kids had a blast. After a few weeks with it, the 4 year old sets up oddly shaped paths and (with a little help from me, mainly reminding direction) programs it to run the course forwards and backwards. The mouse has a tendency to go a little off track as it moves forward from time to time, a gentle nudge keeps it going straight. All in all I love seeing both girls having fun with it, the 10 year old, because she sets up difficult things for it, on a track or just across the floor. The 4 year old I love seeing her brain in action, figuring out what buttons to push and how to get it where she wants it to go. I am a Chatterbox participant and I received this item for free. This is an honest review, if it was NOT any good, I would have said. Basically We love it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great concept The Code and Go Robot Mouse activity set is a 50/50 deal for me. I got it out and set it up to play with a handful of 5 year old children. This was an advanced group of kids so I thought after just reading them the directions, they would be able to pretty much follow it. Wrong! I even had a hart time following the directions. It took me a few times to finally "get it". There aren't really any clear directions on coding the mouse so after trial and error it worked. I like that there are different colors and it comes with ready made pattern cards for easy direction. My 2 year old is able to practice her color skills with it and loves the interaction of the mouse. The 5 year old group was able to somewhat figure it out after a few trail and error tries without my directions. Now they LOVE IT! The mouse will go the direction you code it for and you can even give it an "action" to do. It will just make a noise, make a little movement, eyes light up. The favorite part of all is when the mouse actually makes it to the cheese by following the coded pattern. The cheese and the mouse nose have magnets that help connect them to each other. I feel like there could be more maze tiles and they could connect easier which would really make you need more purple maze walls. The walls are pretty flimsy, but as long as you don't move it or really touch it while in play, they stay put. I let my daughter's prek teacher borrow this and she too had a hard time getting the kids to understand the concept. With time and understanding, I know the kids will eventually be able to pull this game out and use it independently. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was surprised at how easy the set up was. I did one or 2 mazes with her and then she wanted to try some on her own. It was great to see her problem solve to get the mouse through the maze. She worked together with my 2 year old to make up different mazes. Before I knew it my 13 year old and 17 year old were sitting with them having fun making different mazes and seeing who could get the mouse to the finish line with the least amount of trys. This toy was truly amazing! Even better that I was able to try it for free! I will for sure be purchesing this for christmas for others. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeds expectations! I have taught gifted children for over twenty years, and this product is one of my all-time favorites! It brings the concept of coding to a concrete level that young learners can grasp quickly. The task cards help to build skills as they become increasingly more difficult. The kids are both challenged and engaged as they workk to solve each maze. Will another level of task cards be available in the future to extend the child's learning? I would definitely be interested in that!

While my 2 year old liked to watch the mouse move around, my 6 and 12 year olds were highly engaged in setting up the track and figuring out how to get the mouse to the cheese. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Blend of Fun and Educational! Disclaimer: I received this set for free in exchange for my *honest* review. As soon as we got this in the mail, my son (7), was ready to get started. We opened it up, and I started looking at the papers included (directions, etc) while he started tearing everything out of the packages. We set it up on the table, and were started very quickly (once I realized that "batteries not included" meant that it had no batteries...duh LOL). The plates were a little hard for him to get together at first, but once he learned how to do it, he got faster. The directions are simple to follow, and the mouse is lots of fun! As I said, my son is 7, and he loves it, I had a blast with it (let's just say 30's LOL), and my mom had fun playing with it with us, too! It came with several cards detailing "mazes" (I believe 10, 2-sidsed cards for 20 total mazes) to set up with the pieces included, and we were already coming up with new things to try before finishing them. I can see this being something we use weekly at least during homeschool time, and I know my son will pull it out on his own, too. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our new favorite toy I Received the #CodeandGoRobotmouse free for my honest review. We absolutely loved Colby. My 6 year old, 13 year old and my husband were literally arguing over when they got their turn. I haven't been able to get my family to agree on much, but they sure love the Code and Go Mouse. I like that it's easy to program for my 6 year old, yet entertaining enough for the 13 and 43 year olds! We have enjoyed having this toy. I have had it for a few weeks, 4 out of 7 days, someone is playing with Colby. I love that you can put him on "hyper" mode and let him go freely on the floor. I have hardwood, so I can not speak how he runs on carpet. I like ths t my 7 year old is learning programming, while playing. We invented a new game where the kids set up a big maze in the floor. Then they take turns programming the mouse to go thru. Then other kids have to guess which way the mouse will go. It's brought hours of entertainment into my household! I have recommend this toy to friends and family with kids. #Sponsored #CodeandGo [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun learning game My kids have enjoyed playing with the Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set. They quickly caught on to the goals of the game, and learned how to make the mouse reach the cheese successfully. I've enjoyed watching them work together to create different courses. Once they mastered the goals of the game, they somewhat lost interest, and in the last few days have only picked it up a few times total which is why I deducted one star. Overall it's been a fun, learning, non video game activity that I see us continuing to use throughout the years as they age and start school where coding it also taught. I received a free Chat Pack with the Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set in exchange for my review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learning and Having Fun We received the Code & Go Mouse to test and review and I was so excited when we received it. My 5 year old daughter has had so much fun setting up mazes and coding the mouse to find the cheese. It is really easy to set up the maze and I love the included cards so she can enter the code without making mistakes. If she can see what she needs to enter it makes it easier and she can make more complex puzzles. I also like that it included maze ideas to help her get ideas on how to set it up. It was something she has really enjoyed playing with, and I love that she is learning something new while she plays. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from AWESOME family activity!!! I received a free chatpack for the code and go robot Mouse Activity Set from Chatterbox. I have a 9 year old and a 4 year old son and we love the "robot mouse game!!" The code & go game comes with green connectable squares which can be a little tricky to get together at first. Not sure enough to make you not want to play it though. And just like anything else once you get used to it it goes pretty smoothly. There are little purple pieces to form walls for mazes. Big cards with maze ideas and little cards to track your moves. We like to make our own Maze and then see who could solve it without the cards first . The greatest thing about this activity is it is challenging for all age groups! It really makes you think! The controls do take some getting used to the hardest thing for me was the fact that you have to push the forward Arrow after you push the turn arrow to turn. But honestly now that I'm used to it I like it because it makes you think more!! I think I play with the robot mouth just as much or more than the kids do if you're looking for something fun to exercise and keep your brain sharp this is it! I really believe it's perfect for all ages! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple programmable mouse doesn't hold interest for long I have a512year-old son who I thought would just love this product. He likes it, but his attention to the product was short-lived and his desire to try anything complex was non-existent. He was very excited when I first opened the package up. I set up all the squares and showed him what you had to do to get the mouse to the cheese. It was a simple straight-forward 3 spot maneuver. I then tried something a little more complex, with two turns and added some action commands for the fun of it. He thought it was interesting and was eager to have a go at it himself, but he was mostly interested in going one direction with no turns or thought it was funny to have the mouse go off the board. We configured the board a number of different ways (following the different cards and then doing things on our own), but when it came time to program it, my son wanted to do something else. I can't say that it was too simple for him, but then it wasn't exciting enough. Maybe it would have held his attention more if the action items were programmable instead of random or there were more interesting actions. The mouse does tend to go off-track some. I do like that it makes my son have to think about the moves and we did talk them through. It was just hard for him to figure out which direction to go sometimes. I took this kit out and played around with it a couple different times and he only showed interest the first time we tried it. What you get in this box is the mouse, a number of arches, straight pieces to act as barriers, a wedge of cheese, tiles that you can configure and connect as you please, cards that have arrows on them (to help the child figure out the commands for the mouse), and cards that have a number of different configurations on it which range from a simple straight course to a much more complex course. You do not get the batteries for the mouse, which requires 3 AAA batteries. It's all plastic. Disclosure: I am a Chatterbox™ participant and I received this product in a free Chat Pack. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review My kids love playing with Colby and I love that they are having fun while learning. STEM is the future and so important for kids to learn about. The Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set is an awesome way to introduce my 5 and 8 year olds to the world of coding. They were both super excited to get started with the game and it was easy for both of them to pick up how to do it. They enjoy getting Colby to go different directions and take different routes. We received this product free to review through House Party Chatterbox, the opinions are honest and my own. My kids are thoroughly entertained by and educated through playing with this game and all to play often. I recommend anyone with young children in their lives bring a little Colby fun into their homes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plan Your Move I received a free Chat Pack so we could try this product and give an honest review. My kids were immediately excited to try this and loved the bright, fun colors. The directions are pretty easy to follow and the game is easy to operate. It comes with green square tiles to connect together to form a board, 3 orange tunnels to place wherever, and purple "walls" to build an endless assortment of mazes. There are also pictures of different mazes for the kids to try building. The kids build a maze, then program the directions into the mouse to get through the maze and to the spot where they placed the cheese. They "code" it by pressing the directions buttons, like forward, right, left, and back. Then they push go and watch the mouse move. There is also an "erase" button to reprogram new directions. Sometimes it takes them a few tries to get all the steps right, but that is part of the learning process. Since I have 5 kids, we just have to take turns playing with this, since it is really for 1 person to do at a time. Maybe an older child can help a younger one, but my 3 year old kept messing up the maze or picking up the mouse when it was running it's course. She just plays with the mouse, but can't grasp the coding piece. My 5 year old mostly likes to make up directions for the mouse when the board is blank, but has a hard time getting the mouse through a specific maze. My 7, 9 and 11 year old all like to build a maze and then code the mouse with directions to get through it. They also enjoy the "action" button, which tells the mouse to do something like squeak or flash his eyes. The toy has been out for days, and they keep stopping at it to play for a few minutes, but it doesn't keep them occupied for long stretches of time. And it has to be "out" somewhere to be played with. But they are learning to plan the mouses moves, to think through the directions they want the mouse to take, and to take turns. :) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gets them thinking while having fun!! my boys loved it! The 8 year old got it right away and enjoyed setting up new mazes to code. My 5 year old took some help since he set up a long maze with turns and twist but he got it! And we all had a blast. Everything worked well- pieces went together well. I know that this will get pulled out often to play with. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So much fun! My 4 year old and I had a blast with this! He loved watching the mouse try to get the cheese! The kit comes with 16 5" green maze board pieces, 22 maze walls, 3 tunnels, mouse, cheese, 30 coding cards and 10 double-sided activity cards. The activity cards give you "ideas" for how to set up the maze. They are easy to read and understand. The 30 code cards let you set up how you are to code the mouse. It's easy to use and understand. The only thing I wish is that the green maze board pieces were a little easier to go together and come apart. Each board piece has 2 sides that are innies and 2 that are outies, so that they connect. It's hard to get them all lined up and together because the other side comes apart. I received a free Chat Pack for this product for my honest review. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intro to STEM I received a free chat pack that included the Code and Go Robot Mouse Activity Set in order for me to give an honest opinion about the product. First, I have 3 boys ranging from 6-12 and they all took a turn playing with it! My 6 year old was the most excited when it arrived and was the first to try it out. There was a little bit of a learning curve but one we explained everything, he was off and running! The older boys came over to check it out when the youngest had put it aside. They knew what to do right away! I have to say that they boys have kind of put it aside and haven't used since the first few days in was in the house...however, it is summer and we are always on the run and outside so I think that is why it hasn't since much action since. I am actually looking forward to bringing the activity set to my 2nd grade classroom as well to supplement my science curriculum and would like to add to my review when I see it in action in the school setting as well. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great family fun that's beneficial as well The Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set is an adventure. It teaches kids real life skills. In order to get Colby the mouse to get the cheese they have to strategize, plan and follow the plan. You get 20 activity cards that help you build a maze. Then, you get Lil arrow cards that help the kids pre-plan and put their thinking caps on. The trial and error part is fun. The look on their faces when they plan and see their plan works. It's so easy to do and set up. It's a great family activity too. Both educational and fun. I received this free Party Pack from Chatterbox to test and review. Rated 5 out of 5 by from My kids LOVED the Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set! The Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set by Learning Essentials is a fun learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activity for children of many ages! My kids, ages 4 and 9, had a blast building the maze for Colby to race through! Activity cards are labeled in order of experience level and help build confidence while programming. The maze is easy to construct with the grids and features fun tunnels and barrier walls to add to the excitement. The coding cards are a great resource for younger kids and beginners to map out how Colby will reach the cheese within the maze. My 9-year-old led the way with programming Colby, adding in the fun sound features. My 4-year-old was able to follow along, with help. The 5+ age rating is spot on. This is a "toy" that my children will continue to enjoy! I love that it also teaches them!! I highly recommend it! I received this set free in exchange for an honest review. Rated 4 out of 5 by from great, especially for little ones overall, this is a great activity set. now that kids are using computers and games that code more and more, this set is definitely great, especially for younger kids. my 4yr old daughter likes being able to program something and watch her progress with Colby the mouse. we also liked the cards that helped her be able to code Colby moves as she could visualize it better. She set them out on the board so that she could make sure she had all the moves needed to get Colby to his reward. My older daughters, 8 and 10, liked the set as well. they really enjoyed trying to make sure they programmed all the moves correctly and setting up different and more difficult obstacle courses for Colby. #gotitfree #chatterbox #houseparty i received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion and review. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply amazing My son who is almost 8 absolutely loved the code and go robot mouse set. He liked setting up the board just like the cards. When he got the hang of it now he's making up his own way. Even when he messed up he wanted to try again due to the mouse hitting the cheese and getting the reward as it squeaked. Awesome fine motor skills are being more defined. He asks daily to play and hasn't gotten bored yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Play lost in translation When we first got the game the kids were very excited about trying it. We have played for a whole week trying new labyrinths and making our own. It was interesting to see how the kids were trying to figure out how to get the mouse from one point to the next. However after the novelty of the toy was gone soon the mouse was being used to scare the dogs and programed to see how far it can go without running under furniture. Even without being used properly the kids still love playing with just the mouse. The one day my youngest pushed it like a windup car causing one of the wheels to get striped off. The mouse has lost the ability to go straight or turn right. So now the mouse goes mostly in circles. This makes me question if the toy maybe a little to fragile for any kid under the age of 7. I give it 3 stars since we did have fun while it lasted. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great innovative Stem fun!! As a homeschooling family. I'm always looking for hands on innovative learning products. This is just that! My kids are 6 and 7. I showed my kids how to use the robot mouse one time and they we're off coding on their own. They started with using the direction coding cards and quickly moved to not needing them. They get so excited when the mouse gets to the cheese! This product is awesome as it teaches problem solving, logic and critical thinking while having fun. My children love the challenge of the activity cards. The mouse has two speeds, "normal" for the green maze board or "hyper" for play on hard surfaces making a bigger maze. It programs up to 40 moves. I'm happy I got this product for free as I've had my eye on it to purchase for a few months! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coding one step at a time Learning Resources Code & Go Robot Mouse is a solid introduction to coding for the younger set. This is good first step for kids as young as 4 (despite the recommended lowest age of 5) to explore the logic behind coding as they guide their mouse friend, Colby, to a wedge of cheese. By programming Colby's movement using arrow buttons on his back, children experience a hands-on approach that immediately gives feedback regarding their problem solving while entertaining them. The set comes with activity cards for setting up the maze to the cheese and Coding cards so children can layout the steps Colby should take before programming with the buttons. The set is cute and colorful, and Colby is endearng with his squeaks and wiggles. The buttons on the back are color matched with the Coding cards so orientation is not a matter of confusion. The Coding cards themselves are a key in making this activity successful. By setting out the cards in order before programming kids can keep track of the steps as they go, reducing frustration greatly. The grid is the base of the maze. While I appreciate the the grid pieces latch together to hold the pieces in contact, little hands (and big alike) can be hindered in reshaping the grid because of the latch system; instead of simply being able to remove select pieces to change the grid shape, it is sometimes necessary to almost completely disassemble the grid. Wall pieces easily insert into slots on the base to create the maze. For the more advanced user, mazes can be created without the Activity cards. It is also possible to set up obstacle courses off of the grid, though it is more difficult to gauge how many steps Colby needs to take. One disappointment with Robot Mouse is the box. There is a large cutout circle on the box lid so that Colby is visible; be sure to saved the plastic case he's in so the hole can be covered. Again, the latching system can make it challenging to stack and place them in the box just right; is often means that even though the kids can play on their own, they can't put it away without help. Packing the pieces to put it away is a logic puzzle of its own the first time! My children, ages 5 and 8 (the elder with experience using online coding systems Tynker and Scratch as well as basic level C language) have enjoyed Robot Mouse. They can set up the challenges themselves and enjoy the freeform play more than the provided Activity cards. It is often the first "toy" they choose, some mornings even before breakfast! I feel like they will outgrow the level of logic and problem solving provided by Robot Mouse relatively quickly but that they will continue to enjoy playing with the set for some time. As a parent I like that this approach to introducing coding without a screen. I received a free Code & Go Robot Mouse Chat Pack through Chatterbox in return for my review. All opinions are my own and were not swayed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute and Fun My kids (ages 6 and 8) were really excited when the Code and Go Robot Mouse arrived. They had a blast making their own mazes for their sibling to try and solve. I love that it teaches them some basic programming and problem solving skills without having to use a phone or tablet. I feel there are too many toys out there now that require a screen to use them. The kids really enjoyed this and didn't even realize they were learning. The main reason I only give this toy 4 stars instead of 5 is the limit of 40 actions for Colby at a time. While that sounds like a lot in theory, my kids would very quickly hit this limit while trying to make slightly more complicated mazes. I received this product to try and review for free. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its Great! My 5 year old loved the Learning Resources Code $ Go Mouse STEM Activity set. Coding is not an easy skill, I think this activity helps simplify the logic, strategy and overall thought process that goes into it. The set comes with 83 pieces, most of them are idea cards, and walls and also code cards for directions, the cool thing was the maze pad itself which can be made into many designs and also the mouse is super cool my son loved playing with it. We are enjoying this set and are thankful to Chatterbox and Learning Resources for allowing us the opportunity to try it out free of charge. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Family & Teacher Friendly Product that Everyone will Love! Our family (girls, ages 7 and 6) were so excited to try out the new Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set. Not only was it fun and easy, but it was interactive, educational and brought smiles to all of our faces. The cute little Colby mouse was so much fun to "program", so that he could find his cheese in the various mazes we created. By using the tunnels, grids and walls provided, we were able to create our own fun ways to code our way to the prize. As an educator, I am all for promoting STEM products in the classroom, as well as the home! And this product was such an amazing first hand experience of what STEM promoting can be like at an early childhood level. Never did I imagine, my young daughters (and students) to learn the basics of coding. I would highly recommend this product for families and teachers of all ages (PreK and up) to give this product a try. It will increase your love of technology, and provide a fun, interactive experience that everyone will enjoy. I received this free product Chat Pack, as a Chatterbox House Party member. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hello code and go fun! I'm a chatterbox participant and me and my son Had a chance to try the code and go mouse set for free last night. All I can say is he absolutely loved it! The excitement he got after the mouse executed his commands/codes was just great. He's four and seemed to be able to grasp the instructions fairly easily. My other son is turning 3 this month and I'm thinking he will be getting his own too since his enthusiasm towards his big brothers mouse is off the scales! I definetly recommend this game if your looking for something to not only entertain your child but also allow him/her to use their brain and imagination. Rated 2 out of 5 by from I really love the concept of this activity I really love the concept of this activity, and my 4 year old son enjoyed learning how to program the mouse. I was really excited to see him learning and understanding the concept of thinking ahead and planning the steps the mouse needed to take. However, the mouse stopped working the first day that we got the product (we received this free as part of a Chatterbox package). We tried brand new batteries, rechargeable batteries, everything. The mouse lights up and makes noises, but it does not move forward in any direction any longer. For the price, I would have been really disappointed in this lack of durability. I was considering purchasing another mouse so that he could continue to use the kit, but at a price of nearly $25, I am hesitant to buy it and have it not last either. I don't know if we got a fluke or what, but it was a bummer. ** update to add that Learning Resources has contacted me and promised to send me a new mouse, which was really nice of them and I applaud them for standing behind their products. Will update once we receive this new mouse. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product is awesome! My 8yo son loves it. I'm a software engineer so this toy caught my eye. It looked a little juvenile so I was worried that my 8yo wouldn't be interested...but he absolutely loves it!! He has so much fun setting up the board and walls. Then when it comes to the programming, he has a fun time watching both successes and failures. He laughs off the errors and tries again. Aside from being fun and entertaining for him, I'm loving the fact that he has grown a new interest in robotics now. I've been trying to get him interested for a while! The only drawback is in the instructions. It wasn't hard to figure out but I think there could have been a little more instruction. Also, it would help if the clear and action buttons were a little more unique. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Educational/fun My Kids were so happy when they saw the box waiting on our front door. My 6 year old is the one that uses the code & go robot mouse the most. when i first opened it all up i have to be honest i thought that there was no way my son would understand how to use it, and then i tried it and it was hard for me haha! so i was totally wrong my son got the hang of it pretty quickly, he has no patience but he can play with the mouse for hrs. he loves the colors on the game and he loves programming the little mouse and gets all excited when he does it right. I love how this toy makes my son use his thinking skills, and i love how its showing him patience. i like the fact that they have to use counting, thinking, they can say the colors, teaches them left, right, back, forth. I would definitely recommend this amazing toy to any parent! thank you House Party for this amazing Chatterbox, and letting my kids try out the Code & go robot mouse for free! I think the design of the game was so accessible and obtainable for young minds that I'm super stoked to include this in my home schooling repertoire. Playing the game was like a labyrinth and our local park has a labyrinth so she was able to make visual connections with abstract Concepts such as coding. Before we started I was a little hesitant because I don't know anything about computer programming and coding about this game was fun for me too. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Code & Go Mouse is in the House My kids really enjoyed setting up the course for the mouse. They also loved programming Colby to find the cheese. The older kids enjoyed making more complicated courses for Colby. Laying out the cards really helped the younger ones to program the mouse. I like how it teaches the kids to break down the actions of the mouse into steps. The mouse makes fun sounds that aren't annoying. It has a normal speed and a hyper speed but we didn't notice any difference between the two. I think it's best suited for kids 4-10. I feel that my kids will come back to it a few times and have valuable play, but I see that they might run out of new experiences to have with the toy and get bored once they have the hang of it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and Educational! This is a very fun and educational activity set that all kids will love. As soon as my daughter saw the box she could not wait for me to open it. I started to read the instructions and when I looked up she was already trying to figure out how to build it. We built it right away and my daughter got the idea on how to use it and play with it. I felt so happy and proud of her because she started to build different mazes and programming the mouse to move different ways. She asked her older brother to join in on the fun and at the end the day the whole family was enjoying it. With this activity set I can see how kids can start learning how to code while they have fun and it helps them with critical thinking and problem solving. They thought Colby the Mouse was so cute. More importantly, I LOVED it! Watching my son, who gets frustrated easily, calmly sit and rework the coding in order to get Colby to the Cheese was a dream come true. It taught him some real world problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and that there is no shame in having to start from scratch in order to get the result you want. I was so proud watching him CALMLY find a solution when Colby ran off course. So glad to have found this set, and I would have definitely paid full price for it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Learning Isn't Cheesy Learning isn't chessy with this game. I highly recommend for children ages 3 and up. My own children, ages 3 and 4, enjoyed this game greatly. My fourth grade students though, had a BLAST!!! They even started creating their own games to challenge one another. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chatterbox code & go.Robot Mouse I was soo excited to be chosen to recieve this Chatterbox opportunity. My daughter and her friends were very excited . My daughter figured it out quickly and wasn't as entertained with the code and go robot mouse but I think her helping the younger children learn was really good for her. She's a bit shy sometimes so this helped her allot. We ended up gifting it to her younger cousin after watching her play with it for over an hour we decided it would be best not to take it away ...lol. Thank you so much Chatterbox!! Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun for kids and mom! My 3 kids fought over who got to play with this first. The 6 yr old used it to actually program and try to figure out the way for the mouse to go. My 4 yr old, who doesn't like most toys, had a blast letting the mouse go and hiding from it. The 2 yr old loves pushing the buttons and taking care of her "baby mouse". and mommy finds putting together the mazes to be a very zen activity. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the orange tunnels sit on top of the maze rather than click or attaching on, so if the mouse bumps them they will shift. Other than that, great fun for the whole family! I did receive this in a Chat Pack inexchange for my fair and honest review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fun I received a free Chat Pack that included the Code & Go Robot Mouse activity set and absolutly love it. My children have not wanted to put it away since. At first it was a little tricky but after playing with it for about 10 mins my kids got the hang of it. I love watching them figure out the correct coding to help the mouse reach the cheese. It is very easy to assemble and take apart when trying a different maze. I definitely recommend this to play with your children [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So impressed with this! I'll be honest, I was a little intimidated going into this as I have no coding experience myself. The instructions were clear, easy to follow, and kids friendly. The grid pieces were bigger than I expected, my (4 & 7) year olds needed a little help connecting the grids, but they loved being able to customize it and change it up. It comes with cards so you can lay out your coding plan before coding the mouse. It's easy to clear and start over. There are a lot of maze walls, we haven't run out for any maze design we've done yet. The idea cards are PERFECT-they're large, they start simply and advance in design as the child gets more comfortable and familiar with the concepts taught. This product is fantastic and easy to involve multiple children, delegating different tasks, and problem solving. They get to plan it all out, adjust their plan if something went wrong without frustration (what's not funny about the robot mouse running into walls if you make a mistake?!) and celebrate their success when the mouse gets the cheese at the end. Overall, I'm very impressed with this Learning Resources product and am excited to have a product that introduces coding at such a young age. My 4 and 7 year olds were equally challenged and involved. I received this product for free in exchange for my completely honest review. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go Robot Mouse I got Code & Go Robot Mouse for free from Chatterbox to try out with my family. My kids wanted to open it up right away! My 6 year old did great with it and understood what you had to do. She loved coding the mouse and making it work. My almost 5yr old didn't quite qet the concept yet, but did pretty well with it even though she wasn't in the recommended age group for it. All 3 of my kids loved when Colby the mouse got.to the cheese and that it was a magnet to it. My 2yr old would jump up and down every time the mouse got it! So we love love love this new game. I'm sure once the littler ones get a little older it will be even more fun for a 3 to.work on it together. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from User friendly The code and go robot mouse activity set is an exciting tool that can be used to have fun as well as educate your child on cause and effect. My son loves this robot and cannot wait to get back from school daily to play with it. it is easy to assemble which is a plus , also the availability of different ways to set the board and place the cheese for the mouse to find is very exciting and helpful. The part I love most is the giggle my son makes when the mouse finds the cheese after its been coded. Its a fun game and I love it. I received this free chat pack in exchange for my honest review. I received a free chat pack to try and share from Chatterbox for my honest opinion. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!! We received the code and go free in exchange for a review. When it arrived we didn't get to immediately try it out, as I didn't have the right batteries! My 7 year old was beyond excited to begin playing win it (my 10 year old too!). I (and my children!), really enjoyed this product. The children enjoyed it for many reasons. They were able to begin my following the cards and getting the hang of the coding. Once they had the basics down, they set up the "track" really however they wanted! They were able to use their imagination as well as work through any problems that came up with getting the robot mouse to the cheese. They happily cheered when their coding was a success!!!!! I definitely recommend this product to others, as it is a learning toy, without the kids necessarily realizing they are learning. They learn coding, problem solving. It is a great product, and fun too! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Fun Game! We received the Code & Go Robot Mouse Set to review. My three children, ages seven, four, and two all love it! Once we set it up- it was really easy for the four year old and seven year old to set up the scenarios. I helped them figure out how to program the code in the first few times and they took it from there. They love watching Colby get the cheese. This is such a fun and educational game. The box is not too great for storage- the small pieces can fall out of the round hole where the mouse was stored. I will probably move it all to a small clear tote. I would definitely buy this game! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review We received this product for free in exchange for our honest review. All of the following opinions are my own based on the experience I had with my 9 and 4 year old children. Once they got the hang of it, they spent hours creating different commands for the mouse. The 4 yr old have much more trouble with the set up and a lot of fun with the coding. The game to be fair does state 5+. The set comes with coding activity cards to create step-by-step path directions for Colby the mouse. The kids started with basic commands and moved on to more challenging cards and now have fun creating their own codes which has lent itself to real-life problem solving skills involving math. It was an eye opening experience for them as far as the importance of being very specific when creating step by step directions, thus learning to properly code. With STEM now becoming a standard in elementary school, this product is an excellent introduction to use at home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting Concept I received the Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set free as part of a chat pack. I like the idea of a toy that introduces the idea of coding. The product was easy to setup and operate. It came with a set of challenge card. The first one was incredibly simple but they did get a little more complex from there. The cards held my son's interest for a little while before he started to do his own thing with the set. I think that the basis of the toy is good but that it needs more. There are only 20 program cards. It would be nice if others were made available. The problem solving involved is good. After setting up the maze, you need to determine how to get the mouse through it. The actually programming isn't much more than pushing a few buttons on the mouse depending on what direction you want it to go. It is rated 5 and up but I don't think it would hold an older child's attention for that long. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review I received the Robot Mouse Coding Activity Set for free in exchange for my honest review. When we first received our Robot Mouse my children were very excited. My son has done some coding in Robotics Club through his school, he is very into robots and electronics. My daughter is not interested in that sort of thing. As coding and programming have been interests of mine I wanted to share it with my children. The adorable little mouse Colby, is perfect for beginners and those with a little experience. Both my 10 year old son and my 8 year old daughter love programming Colby to get the cheese. They have created mazes for each other to do and we are going to create obstacles on the dining room floor. For the last year I have been looking for great STEM toys and games for my children, especially my 8 year old daughter. Problem solving, Critical and Analytical thinking as well as "If-Then" thinking are concepts I have been looking for in toys and games. Learning Resources' Robot Mouse Coding Activity Set has all that I am looking for and more! The only negatives I would say about this toy is that the mouse does not always go in a straight line so sometimes he falls off the track pieces or goes right past the cheese. The pieces are easy to put together and the game cards are easy to follow and start easy and get more complex as you go. I plan on taking this set to try out in the classroom when school starts and might buy a set for the classroom. #CodeAndGoPack #Sponsored [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING STEM Activity for young kids I received a free Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set for my honest feedback. I can't say enough about this product. ALL of my kids and their friends LOVED it! I would say the best age for "getting" the process was 5yrs old. The 3 and 4 yr olds were not quite there in the thinking process and the 9 and 10 year olds caught on pretty quick. Even though it was easier for them, It still made them think, process, plan, and execute. Trial and Error was a great learning tool with them. I love that this set comes with cards for suggestions of set up but at the same time you can use your imagination and set it up anyway you want. It also comes with direction cards to help you catch on to the concept of planning the directions for your Mouse. My 10 yr old is in Robotics at school and said this set was a great introduction tool for his little brother and wished he had something like this to learn on first. Our only issues were, occasionally the mouse didn't stay straight on course, especially if to many backwards turns had to be taken and I wish the buttons were labeled on the actual mouse. But other than that, I have already told a few teachers about it and hope the schools bring it into their introduction curriculum!!! Way to go Learning Resources!!! Rated 4 out of 5 by from My kids love the code & go robot mouse activity set I received a free code and go robot mouse activity set chat pack and my kids couldn't wait to see what was inside the box. Since opening the box, my kids ages 7 and 5 have spent countless hours playing with the code and go robot mouse activity set. They especially like that they can create new mazes for the mouse each time they play and reprogramming the mouse. I highly recommend this toy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code & Go™ Robot Mouse Activity Set Review The kids and I love the Code & Go Robot Mouse a Activity Set. We are having so much fun learning to code and realizing that even though we may make mistakes when coding, it is still fun to watch Colby go through the maze. Our mistakes help us to see where we went wrong in our coding and to perfect our instructions to Colby. We received this product free through the Chatterbox House Party. I would recommend this to parents of preschoolers as well as older elementary students. My 9 year old even loves to play! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unique, Fun, and Educational! We received this Code & Go Robot Mouse Activity Set for free from Chatterbox to play with and review. I showed my 4 year old son and 8 year old twin daughters an ad for the toy and they were very excited to try it. When the packaged arrived we tore it open, eager to get started, but were disappointed to learn that we needed 3 AAA batteries to get started. It may be helpful for the manufacturers to print that on the box so if you are buying this as a gift you can be sure to include the batteries so it can be played with right away. Once we got the batteries in the robot mouse we began to assemble the tiles to make a surface for the mouse to move on. My 8 year old did this easily, choosing to make a square and using math to figure out that with 16 tiles she could make a 4X4 square, which made me happy to see she was already learning! My 4 year old, on the other hand, needed assistance to connect the tiles because the sides have either male or female connections so they have to be assembled correctly. I can see why the box says age 5 and up! Once we got the tiles assembled, we looked at the activity cards, which give suggestions for mazes to build, from simple to more difficult. We started with number one and assembled the maze. Inserting the maze walls was easy, and we used the tip in the instructions to make sure the wide edge of the cheese wedge was facing out so Colby, the robot mouse, could find it easily. Then we decided which moves the mouse would need to make and selected the coding cards. Colby has arrows to push that tell him which direction to go, an action button that you can add in for extra fun, a go button for when you've put in all the steps, and a clear button in case you want to start over. The clear button is important, especially with the long coding sequences, so you can start over if you make a mistake. That alleviated a lot of frustration. We were excited when we coded the first maze run and it worked! I think this toy is great. It's easy to use, it teaches important skills, it builds on simple activities and gradually gets more complex which, as an educator, I know is the correct way to build skills. I like the versatility of it, as well. Several configurations can be made with the tiles and maze walls, or the mouse can be programmed to go across the floor in a more free form way. It even has a separate setting for that. It's great for a variety of ages and teaches important skills that kids will definitely need in this modern world. It's very open-ended and allows for creativity, and works for a range of ages and skills. It was even fun for me, the mom, so it's a great family activity!
