Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome plane but interior isn’t very large The plane has a nice interior, but unlike the larger airplanes lego has made, the wing piece blocks the possibility of more seats. The galley is too small, and the bathroom cannot fit a mini figure. The terminal’s air traffic control tower should be separate and taller, and the terminal should have more check in counters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this, but I love this set, but it only comes with 6 seats. But I have moved the wing back, took the bathroom and galley out, and now, it seats 13!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Planes do bring a lot of fun "My favorite Lego City remain the train, however, the planes are also a great investment for your loved ones. thy can be used everywhere (no track needed) and do not require batteries. Also a great combination, if you have a train station combined with an airport station as well. You will be able to grow the functionality of your city. Enjoy!"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Set! Great set, easy build, huge plane. Had issues with one of the pieces of the front wheel but Lego is sending us a replacement part. My son loves it! he is able to play with it (without the front wheel for now) its pretty sturdy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some Build Limitations, But Solid Set for Age 6-12 I purchased this set as a birthday present for my son, who is an avid Lego City fan. He has several aircraft in his collection, but doesn't own a 'proper' plane, so was quite excited about receiving this set. The set took a little over 2 hours for us to sort through and build. It consisted of 8 stage bags, 2 bags of additional bricks, a wing piece, a set of stickers and 4 instruction booklets. The instructions were relatively easy to follow, but some supervision was required, as my son is at the lower end of the set's age range. When opening the box, you immediately get an idea of the scale of the plane. The wings span almost the entire length of the box and are molded as one huge piece. They were much bigger than I anticipated and I was pleasantly surprised with just how large the completed object was. Although there isn't much to the plane brick-wise, it is still impressive nonetheless. We did encounter one missing piece from book 2 (241226), but it wasn't essential to the look or the structure, so wasn't much of an inconvenience. Some details within the set felt slightly forfeited, and I think there could have been a few additional items that Lego could have improved, such as a slightly larger airport with an additional minifigure or two, and a little more detail within the plane's interior. I was expecting to construct some parts of the set from scratch. Large sections, such as the roof of the cockpit, the wings and the tail of the plane were already pre-built, which did take some satisfaction away from the build. However, because the set is aimed at young children to pre-teens, it makes sense that the plane would benefit from bigger sections, especially when it came to withstanding a lot of play time. Overall, this was an enjoyable build and I think the set would be a fine addition to any Lego City collection. As with some of the new large Lego City sets, the RRP was a little on the pricey side, but it looks great and my son has had a lot of fun playing with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good - Could be better It is quite a lot of money for what the plane is for instance the size. It has got good features and descriptive details on the plane and I like the additional terminal. On the underside it could of been more life-like and not just someone looking at bricks. I wouldn't say this has been my favourite build but saying that someone else might like it as they may be a collector of Lego City.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big brick(s) in the plane limits the possibilities This is a good set if you want an airport. The set includes a big plain and a terminal. The terminal has a control tower, check-in, luggage handler, fuel tank, ... I expanded my terminal and built it on a 32x32 baseplate and used the 2 grey 16x16 plates for the roof. The backside is not completely closed. Otherwise is the luggage belt is not accessible with my hand. I added 2 extra seats in the plane. Normally you have 6 seats in the plane, but I raised it to 8. I wanted more than 8 but that is almost not possible. The plane is brought with a big brick which includes the middle of the plane and the 2 wings and that one limits the possibilities. The toilet in the plane is still on the backside.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Good Airport This new airport I really like alot but there are some things I will cover that could have used alittle improving first is the airport buggy cart with the luggage the gas and the stair's all go great with this set and I like the follow me sign on the back the plane I really like and at first I thought you could fit alot of minifigures inside but only 5 wow and we only get 1 pilot and no co pilot which there is room for another however I like that there is a bathroom in the back of the plane and there is a small sink and fridge and a place for a flight attendant to sit the airport is nice but like other reviewers have said the inside looks alittle empty and needs more space however I'm using this set with the other airport set 3182 to make the airport alittle bigger.Overall this airport is good but there was so much empty space that could have been added for both the plane and the airport itself also Lego please note as this has happend in the past if you are going to make a big airplane with two seats one for a pilot and one for a co pilot please add two pilots but this still is a good set.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent Build... I was a little disappointed with the overall size scale of the set. Compared to the terminal, the plane is ginormous and doesn't not fit well in my city. I was also disappointed that a plan so large, 18" long only came with 2 passengers and 1 pilot??? Overall it was an easy build. The price was to be expected based on the piece count and the special molded pieces for the plane. I definitely would make sure you have at least 4 base plates of room if you plan on having the plane on the ground. Also, the fuel trailer could have used Octan stickers!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great looking build, but very bare interior. I purchased this set the day it was released for my LEGO City, as an upgrade from my previous airport (10159 Airport from 2004). First off, the build is great and although it's not very challenging, it's exciting to see the plane come to life and the use of the big plane pieces (eg. the nose, the wings, the tail etc.) was new to me, though I know there have been a number of planes in the past that use these pieces. There are 4 instruction booklets (2 for the plane, one for the airport, and one for the luggage/fuel/stairs car), 8 numbered bags, and two separate bags with the bigger pieces in. This makes the build very easy to follow. The completed set is very grand (especially the plane) in scale, and great looking. It's nice to see that a different colour scheme been used for the plane as opposed to the usual red and white or blue and white colours as seen in previous sets. The plane is HUGE, with a wingspan of around 2 32-wide baseplates (bare this in mind if you want to make a runway). However, despite its huge size, the inside of the plane is very bare. There are 5 seats for the passengers, another one facing backwards which I presume is for the cabin crew (although there isn't a cabin crew minifigure, which would have been a nice addition), and two seats in the cockpit. There's a tiny bathroom at the back of the plane, and a small galley area at the front with a sink and cupboard. There's easily room for a sixth chair in the plane, which I think should have been included, and the space within the plane could've been arranged better to fully optimise the area. The airport terminal has a very nice modern look, and includes the revolving door, tower, waiting area, security scanner and check in desk with luggage conveyor. Although this sounds like a lot of features, the inside of the terminal is, again, very bare and the space could've been used better. There are only 4 seats in the waiting area, and a lot of the space is taken up by the revolving door. The operational conveyor belt for the luggage is a nice touch, though, and there is a fair bit of playability within. The service car is a nice addition to this set and gives it more playability. All the trailers (fuel, stairs and luggage) connect together and attach to the service car, which has a really cool "follow me" sign on the back. This is a really nice addition to the set. Overall, I really like this set because of how it looks and because there's plenty of opportunity for play, but I think a lot more thought could've gone into maximising the space within the plane and the airport. Some more minifigures would have been good, such as a member of the cabin crew, a check-in clerk and a security officer. The value for money is okay with this set, as you do get a lot of big pieces, but the bare interiors are a little disappointing for the price you pay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LEGO city has transportation! LEGO city has always had was to transport minifigures (such as buses and cars ex...) but rarely has planes. that's why this set is so good. yet there is a slight lack of minifigures. kingoffire6873 ;-)
