Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was disappointed I was disappointed with this product, especially as Melissa & Doug products tend to be sturdy and durable. These were not and the magnets were extremely weak they had trouble sticking. I did love the size and colour of them but my kids were also able to peel off the top layer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for teaching I am working with 2 yr olds. They love these letters. I love when they pick a letter, identify it and start playing with the letter, making letters walk and talk. They also come in 4 colors, so colors can also be reinforced. As my 2 yr old's say ... Yaaayyy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome product I have the mickey mouse ABC magnets and my daughter just loves them. They are very colorful and have a cute mickey ears design. I love that the magnet is full length to the magnet. Its very well made and not flimsy. I'm loving how great these magnets are. They are a great size and not small. I'm buying some more so we can spell more words with these magnets. Just a great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Learning Tool As I'm teaching my daughter her letters, one per week, I pull out the corresponding letter piece to add to the ones on our refrigerator. This is a great set. It's very durable. I like that the magnetic back is part of the whole letter, so we don't have to worry about a magnet coming off and becoming a choking hazzard for the little ones. Our set arrived with one letter missing. The customer service rep I spoke with was very helpful, and I received the replacement letter right away.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Okay I find the letters are more like pressed paper than wood and the box they come in should be deeper. When you try and put them back in the letters get caught and tear. I like the idea but the quality is poor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from More vowels, please! I love to leave messages on the fridge for my granddaughter even though she cannot read yet. She scrambles the letters to leave a message for me, sometimes by color or shape. I am often gone when she arrives to stay with her grandfather, so I would like to leave more involved messages; like lists of animals or silly sentences or poems. However, I need more vowels! I already have 2 sets of letters, upper & lower case, with 4 of each vowel. Upside down Vs make passable As and the number zero makes an O, but she recognizes these as incorrect. I mix the 2 cases as needed, so a set of mixed vowels would be so helpful! I know, of course, that then I would want more consonants - but you already have those sets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Upon the first use of these magnets the front colored panel started to peel off. (no, we weren't rough and no we did not get them wet) When it peels a piece of the wood comes off which can be dangerous. At first I thought just one of the letters was defective, but after a couple uses the other magnets also started to separate. Normally, I am pleased with Melissa and Doug products but this one was incredibly disappointing. Based on the price, I feel the consumer deserves a safe, quality product and we certainly did not get that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Good Toy For The Price I have bought several of these sets over the past few years and find they offer a fun and straight forward tool for teaching the letters and numbers. I was a little disappointed that when one of the younger children put the letters in their mouths the colours came off. I realise it is only coloured paper glued on, I think it would be a lot better to stain the wooden pieces the various colours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great letters. Very durable These letters are great. We are only using the upper case set of letters right now to try to get my daughter to learn her alphabet, but she loves playing with these on the fridge. We starting using these during a period where she was putting things in her mouth. I was a little worried with them being wood how they would weather being chewed, but they stood up surprisingly well. They are easy to attach for small hands, and I love using these to teach her letters instead of all the "talking toys" out there, and there are no batteries to replace!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! My daughter is only 2 but loves reading letters. She reads capital letters everywhere. I really like these magnetic letters since they are over-sized since she stills teethes and likes to put things in her mouth, also very colorful and I can sit with her at the frig and help her associate the big case letters to their matching smaller case.
