Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great if You Like to Build Things My kids thought it was fun and played with it quite a bit the first few days. However, after a week passed, they haven't touched it. Initially, as my kids do not enjoy putting things together, they were apprehensive. Then we they got to see the features and used the dancing/voice capabilities of the robot, they found it fun. But I think the awkwardness of combining these features with a mechanical looking robot do not work. My kids prefer using other robots on the market that can be controlled through a smartphone app (like MiP), those are the ones they come back to and keep playing after a week. Note - if you do not like to build things, don't even consider this. While we did find the directions easy, there are a lot of small parts and it takes some time. If you don't like building, this is a major negative. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hours of fun. It took my 12 year old an hour and 15 minutes to put together, but that was a nice little challenge compared to the normal plug and play. The battery compartment should have easier to see indicators for the + and - but it works. The kids really like the 8-ball type Q/A sessions the best. The little robot can be pretty funny. The 6-year old especially has been asking questions and recording his voice. The recording function is OK, but the voice does not match up with button directions, voice is real time while directions on movement take more time. It's hard to see what the automation part does as the kids won't leave him alone long enough! I would recommend for those from 6-13, with the younger side needing help putting the small parts together. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meccano Disappoints We were super excited to try out this product. The packaging was well organized. All the required parts were included along with a few extra pieces. Some parts were extremely small and difficult to handle. My first surprise was the amount of assembly this toy required. It was great for my son who is 13, but I'm not sure an 8 year old would be as successful. Once put together, the robot was easy to use. He could move forward, dance and talk. It moved to music somewhat, or would play his own music and move to that. However, the entertainment factor in this product is extremely short lived. It honestly took longer to put it together than the worth of the end product. After it demonstrated it's few moves, there was really nothing else to explore. I wanted to like it but can't say I recommend this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My son loves! This takes FOR-EV-ER to put together! once we got it put together, my son was extremely happy (as was I). The 8-ball setting is so cute. My son has asked him if he likes rollie pollies at least a hundred times. He scoots across the floor and shimmies from side to side and even shakes his head. His voice is very robotic. He dances around and scoots all over to music, it's just really neat. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fun!! I was excited when the box came. I decided to recruit my 12yo son to help me assemble it, the instruction booklet pics are a bit vague, not sure the age 8+ is right, but once you get the hang of the directions it goes together good! We started playing with it and it surprisingly does a lot of neat things. It will dance to music that is playing, you can program it to move in a certain sequence and will answer yes or no questions! Overall a fun little robot so far! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Packaging First impression... great packaging! The MicroNoid was pleasing to the eye in the box. After I opened the box I thought, what on earth have I gotten my twelve year old and I into. The screws and parts were overwhelming. Consequently, I quieting watched my twelve year old as she excited herself in the construction of this micro machine. She was able to assemble it in much less time than I would have imagined and she loves this new mechanical friend that she has. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Kids Toy I just got this product last Saturday. It took about one hour for me and my 11 years son to assemble. There are not too much instruction to tell you how to put it together. Luckily the step by step photos make up to it. So we just followed what we saw on the photos at each step to put it together. It comes with a handy tool kits. So every thing you need to build the robot is within the box. It is a little bit effort to put it together because the screws and bolts are tiny. After it is built, it is lots of fun. Both of my sons really enjoy it. They especially love to ask silly questions to the MicroNoid. Also love to record funny noise/words for the robot to play back at each other. Overall, I think this is a very good toy for kid over 8 years old. It might need adult's assist to build it. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty fun The assembly was fun although a bit challenging. It took about 1.5 hours. The construction in very sturdy. It operates and described and I think that it would be a lot of fun for a while. It would be nice to see how it interacts with other micronoids [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An awesome toy and fun robot! Please take precautions before buying this product. Note that an 8 or 9 year old can not assemble it by him/herself. The item comes with everything you need to assemble it except for 4 AAA batteries (includes a little screwdriver too). Assembling it could take quite a while but that's part of the fun, and after it was all done and ready to go, I was very impressed. You can ask it yes or no questions and program it to do custom dance moves or just let it respond to the music you're playing. Programming the Micronoid was fun and great practice at coding. I had the most fun in the Anonymous mode, when its personality seemed to come out. So overall, I think the green switch micronoid is a real bang for your buck!
