Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun way to get your kids moving! My 4 and 5-year olds really love this game. They already spend a lot of time playing kitchen and restaurant and this is a super fun spin on those things! Also, it is a great game for rainy or cold days inside the house because it gets them moving and expending some of their energy. Another thing I like about it is you can adjust how you play depending on the number of players and their ages - it can be a fun game for a group or just two kids, and just stacking the pancakes without following the menu is pretty fun for my 4-year old!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, kids ask to play with it. I am a speech language pathologist and this game was a big hit with my preschool thru 2nd graders. I used it to work on following instructions and sequencing, AND as a reward game. The kids loved it and ask to play it. For the 2nd graders we worked on visual memory to make it little bit more challenging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My kids' favorite game This is Mom of 3. A week later, I've now taken the time to show my 3 year old how to play the game while the other 2 kids were out, and she LOVES playing it as intended. She even likes racing across the room with the pancakes on the spatula (she uses her other hand to keep it in place) and putting them in order, then serving the order up to her pretend customers. It has now replaced Candyland as her favorite game and she is asking to play with it everyday. My 6 year old still likes, it, too. My 1 year old tries to eat the pancakes. Overall, it's a great game for the family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome and so much fun! Wonderful and so engaging. My daughter has been bugging us for games for her age. We have had some difficulty finding some that we think would be best for her, but this was perfect. She has some other little games gifted to her but none that keep her mind going like this one does. She has to see a pattern and then repeat instead of just grabbing whatever she wants which keeps her and even us engaged. It really is fun for all of us and great for a game night . It also helps her with her cordination which, as a 3 year old, is always helpful. Extremely happy with this toy and would definitely recommend it to friends and family with younger children.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So adorable and fun! Such a cute and fun toy! Very visually appealing. Definitely for kids with good motor control. 4-years old is the youngest you could really go with this toy. I had a 3 1/2 and a 5-year old play, and the younger one had a hard time keeping the pancakes on the spatula during the relay. It's plastic on plastic, which makes it hard to keep the pancakes on the spatula, but that's the whole point of the relay really. Any sort of rubber gripping would make the game too easy. Adorable and can't wait to have it out for a playdate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Fun! This game was so fun for my five year old son to play with us. It was fast paced and had us up and moving. Our daughter (almost 2) enjoyed "playing" as well. Pancake Pile Up will quickly become a family favorite! Pancake Pile Up can be played with 2 -12 players. It would be very fun to play this game with a larger group of kids - maybe at a birthday party. The game pieces are study and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Relay Race Fun! First off, I love the packaging. It's fun, bright and it's sturdy and compact. It comes with spatulas, cute pancakes and tiny butters, menu cards and sturdy paper plates. It's all made very well. I care for kids ranging from 2-7 and the love playing this game. We love to play this as a family. Race to be the first to stack your pancakes in the sequence the menu card shows by balancing them on the spatula and carefully placing them on plate. It's very simple and lots of fun. I think this would be a good gift for a girl or boy ranging from 3-7 years old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Relay Game This game is so much fun and has many uses. You can truly do this game as relay, which we have or you can follow the patterns on the cards and make sure that you don't get them in the wrong order. My children enjoy playing this game in a variety of ways and even sometimes use the pancakes to just play "kitchen." Very creative game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FUN game for a small group or to be played at a SLEEPOVER! Pancake Pile Up is a great game to be played on Family Game Night or even at a birthday party! This game is an excellent way to get the family together to have fun and practice some very important skills, including gross motor skills (coordination and balance), following directions, counting and much more. First impression: As always, I am impressed by this Educational Insights game! The box is sturdy and the pieces are colorful, detailed, and well made. I was excited to get playing! While playing: We played this game with my 3 year old son and my nieces, ages 7 and 10. We split up into two teams. The object of the game is to look at your order card and work with your teammates to replicate the pancake order shown on the card - racing from the griddle to the plate in a replay race fashion! Thoughts: *This game was really fun! It was great for my non-reading son and well as my older nieces. AND it can be played with a larger group, broken into two teams. So I can imagine this would be super fun for a sleepover game or even a birthday party! *As an educator, I appreciated the skills that were reinforced while playing this game, including: Sequence - following the order of the pancakes on the plate Teamwork - working with a team to complete a task Role playing - pretend play at a busy restaurant Counting - you can count the pancakes on the plates Motor Skills - balance - balancing the pancakes on the plate Following directions - looking at the card and following the "directions" shown on the cards I loved this game and so did the kids! I will definitely add this game to my list of "Birthday Party Gifts" for future parties we attend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get their bodies and competitive spirits moving Pancake Pile-Up was a lot of fun for us. We laughed a lot. My 5 yr old daughter is pretty competitive so this is right up her alley. I tried to cheat but she beat me anyway. This is a great way to get the entire family moving and laughing. We played one vs one but I expect that with a larger group this will really get hilarious. You can obviously adjust the distance that you space the pancakes from the plates to add or decrease difficulty, which makes it fun for indoors or out. There is no reading so its appropriate for younger children.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute game!! Gets then moving around. Very easy to explain to young children. Fun for the family. Gets everyone up and moving. We played it as a relay, kids used the spatula but adults had to balance the pancake on our head. Lots of giggles came from my house today!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pancake pile up relay game Pancake pile up is a super fun innovative game. Both my kids who are 4 & 7 loved playing the game. This game held their attention for 30-60 minutes at a time and was very easy to understand how to play. Then they found other uses for the game components of the game. My daughter played server and used the pancakes for customers in her imaginary restaurant etc. I would recommended this game to everyone. This would be a great birthday party game as well!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What's not to like about pancakes?! A great game for children ages 4+. Not only are the pancakes and spatulas really cute, but the game is educational and fun! I love that it's not just a board game where you sit down and play, but that's it's interactive and more of a relay race. I wish that there were more cards with various patterns on them (maybe some with just 3-4 pancakes for the younger kids) and it would be great if there were a timer so that there's the option to play against the clock instead of against someone else, but all in all this is a fantastic game that involves counting, matching, coordination, balance and plain old good fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter loves this! My daughter loves this game. She's 4 and has had it for a year and a half. At first she just wanted to role play with the pancakes, like making me certain kinds and pretending to serve them. Later she got into playing the game by the rules. Unfortunately we haven't ever had the opportunity to play it as a relay race, just due to not having a lot of kids of the same age (old enough to understand the rules) around, but we play it racing against each other and it's fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Very fun and easy to use, following game directions or creating your own colorful pancake stacks. Multiple pieces allow for multiple repetition of whatever activity is the target. Well-made and colorful for the children.

The children in my office, for speech therapy, ask to play this game often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great toy, versatile and fun! Four of us (two pairs) played this game for over an hour after we opened it, the game was so much fun. This game can be played in different ways, not just as a relay, to accommodate different skill levels / age groups. The mere act of balancing and placing slippery plastic pancakes on top of each other with a spatula definitely challenges fine motor skills, coordination and patience. The "order" cards are a great way of giving directions using pictures and help kids understand sequences. When the game is over, the kids just like to use the play materials to pretend they're cooking, so the game gets points for versatility, too. Great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and Engaging My 4 year old daughter loved this game from the start and is always excited when I take it out to play. She's loves the competition and always wants to win. I initially noticed the quality of the product. The packaging and game pieces are sturdy as well as bright and fun. I especially love the attention to detail that is required with this game. My daughter has had to go back and fix her pancake order because the sequence she had was incorrect. If this happens she quickly corrects and makes sure to complete her order right the first time in successive games. I also like the balance and coordination skills this game provides. When I'm watching my daughter race across the room, I can see her focusing on not dropping the pancake. I was a little skeptical about this game being entertaining for a 4 year old for any length of time, but it's actually very engaging and fun! Additional note for younger ages: I also let my younger daughter (2 year old=25 months) play a couple of rounds. She can pick out the correct pancake when I tell which to pick up or point to the pancake on the card (modifying the game rules). She doesn't have the motor skills of my 4 year old. The two year old holds the spatula with the pancake in one hand and places her other hand on top of the pancake for more control as she walks across the room. She stacks the pancakes; but she's not really racing. I received this game free to evaluate in exchange for an honest review

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Both educational and fun! I look for toys that are both educational and fun. Here I found both. This game strengthens sequencing skills and pattern recognition in my opinion, while building pancake stacks and having fun. Sequencing is an important skill to practice especially for my daughter. Sequencing skills are used daily, such as when getting dressed, getting into a car, and reading or re-telling a story. Practicing this skill in a fun way is great. This game can help her a lot. I like the fun patterns and colors on the toppings that will help children who are learning colors. And, I also like the colorful cards and the material the pancakes are made of. And, the pancakes have a quality non-flimsy feel to them. I like the educational aspect and the fact that my daughter has fun when she plays. She likes the fact that she has fun. I recommend pancake pile-up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pile up the fun We have a had a great time with this game! I love that it promotes teamwork and healthy competition at the same time. They are learning sequencing and working on fine and gross motor skills in addition to other extension skills like counting and problem solving. It has been a fun way to get some exercise and spend time together too. At times my 3 year old gets a little frustrated but we modify the directions and let her use both hands which seems to help. My 5 year old loves it and claims that it is "one of her favorite games of all times". Educational Insights products are always such good quality and so much fun and this one is no exception!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pancake pile up is such a fun cute game. I received this as a review item. All views are my own. I had been looking at games that both boys could play together. They are at different stages which makes it hard. I also need to make sure it was for two or more players. The twin next door are over alot and I need to make sure they are able to play too. When I got asked to review this super cute game little did I know it would be a huge hit on our street. Pancake pile up is such a fun cute game. It is a mix of matching, following directions, and teamwork. Made for two or more players make sure it is an even number. What I love about this game in a mom point of view is it gets them up moving and worn out. This can even be use with larger group of kids. I bought it outside got the kids together. It was a blast. It is the one game they all can play. I bring it out right before bed to get the kids worn out and ready for bed. Pancake pile up is a relay race to match your stack to the pic. No reading necessary for this game. Easy to play game thats a ton of fun. Now if you are worried they will grow out of it here are some tips. lay out an obstacle course making harder to keep the pancakes on your spatchula. As your child grows make the distance longer. This game is one you can really add to for even more fun. I also love that the box is used as part of the game. Unlike most kids games the parts are well made and will last for years. I was really surprised with this game. I recommend this game for all families and ages. You will have the kids on your street begging to come play. Here is more on Pancake pile up: The Big Idea Order up! It's a busy day at the diner, so don't dilly-dally. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Fun, but limited to two players My Pre-K students enjoyed playing this with and without the cards. I used it in a center with extra spatulas, home center plates and no cards. I also used it in a center with just the items provided; however, this meant only two friends could play at a time. There are not enough items to use this as a relay game in a Pre-K classroom setting (the wait for a turn would be too long for four and five year olds.
