Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS GAME Perfect for 2, 3 or 4 players. Our family cannot get enough. It's actually difficult so we don't always win.. but it makes it sweet when we do! The cooperative aspect makes it a very unique game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Complicated by fun! This game it a bit hard to follow at the beginning, but it is super fun! I recommend not doing the easiest level, it's more fun when it's hard to win!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS GAME This was the first cooperative game I ever played and I could not believe how much fun i had! I am a very competitive person and that usually stops me from enjoying a lot of games because I take things a little too seriously so playing cooperatively makes me a bit more relaxed and the atmosphere is just much more fun! beautifully created game that I have enjoyed playing over and over again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Co-op Good game. Not the best, but a good game for people who don't play a ton of board games. A bit luck based so you will sometimes win or lose very quickly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Game. A review does not do this game justice. It is a thinker. A little hard to get into for those who may not be big gamers, but after a couple of turns it works itself out. Favourite part? You get to work as a team instead of against one another, so when you inevitably have that person playing with you who always wins? You get to win too! Well designed and thought out, no flaws or loophole questions when reading the instructions. Bravo Zulu!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Cooperative Game I have some friends who - frustratingly - flat out refuse to play board games because they don't like the competitive nature of most of them. However, they were intrigued enough by the concept of Pandemic to give it a shot - and they loved it! I also pulled it out during a dinner with some new friends and working together helped us to break the ice and the conversation flowed much more easily. Definitely would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great classic Great game that is easy to learn. I like how it's a co-op game, so all players are working towards a common goal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coop game! Love this game for the fact that is a cooperative game, which is not too common in 2 player games. Have played this a few times and it's quite fun. With 2 players it can last anywhere between an hour and one and a half. The game is also not overly complicated, so after playing it a few more times we will get an expansion to this to try something new out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Addictive! A nice change, this co-operative game can only be won with a true team effort. Just as amazing as the original, with two new role cards and a brand new look. Play over and over again, as the random role cards and outbreaks result in different strategy based game play each time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice cooperative game I've played this many times with friends, it's a decently fun and easy game! Unfortunately, it's not something we play all the time since it gets kind of old.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from interactive fun but expensive Great game and has a lot of different levels of difficulties. Not to be played by young kids. I just find that the price is really high

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE classic co-op board game As co-operative games go, this one is essential, in my opinion, to anyone's collection. Good, tense fun!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good but simple Pretty good game - I like the uniqueness of working collaboratively. However I find that it tires out pretty quickly after you beat the game once. On top of that, it's pretty hefty price given the simplicity of the game.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun board game with a twist! Usually with board games, you are playing against other people but with Pandemic, you're working with them! A very fun twist to games and you're really working together to all win and fight the disease. Totally recommend it and can't wait to play again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could be played alone Great idea for a game, and it's fun to play, but my only nitpick is that you don't necessarily need more than one player, even though this game is designed for multiple players. It's very easy for one player to play for multiple people, which makes it less fun in terms of teamwork.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely a blast The great thing about this game is that you play together against the cards, so if you've got some friends that are sore losers, you can still play this with them. It involves just the right combination of strategy and chance to make every game interesting. You can also modify the difficulty of the game by adding more "epidemic" cards to the deck based on your expertise. All I'd advise is that you keep an eye on the disease cubes because they're small and can go missing. #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game! There's a reason why this game is so popular with so many expansions available. Very fun to play, its a more cooperative game and requires a lot of strategic thinking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game Bought this game for my boyfriend as a gift. We played it together, and it was really fun. It isn't a difficult game to learn, but it is very helpful if you watch a YouTube video of the game play. As another reviewer mentioned, the rules does sort of make things a bit complicated and confusing. #plumreview

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good beginner game that's a bit too simple but improves with expansions Pandemic is a cooperative game. This means the game gives obstacles to the players the overcome together. The theme of Pandemic is that the players are a team with various skills trying to prevent the spread of deadly diseases over the world. The "AI" of the game which you are working against consists of a deck of cards. Players flip over a certain number based on the state of the game. The cards can cause outbreaks and various bad things to happen around the world. If you can stay ahead of the outbreaks and cure the diseases then you will be victorious. At it's heart, Pandemic is a set collecting and trading game where players aquire colored cards. They must exchange and spend them efficiently to travel around to various cities to prevent outbreaks and eventually cure the diseases. This is a light, fun game for beginner gamers; the new printing looks very nice and has good components. As with any cooperative game, sometimes a more vocal player can ruin the fun by telling everyone what to do and basically playing a solo game. If you can avoid this happening with your play group and let people make their own moves then you'll have a better time. The base game is very simple (maybe too simple) and after a few plays you might be soon interested in trying one of the expansions. Fortunately the difficulty can be tweaked higher as you become more experienced beating the beginner level. The current expansions are: "Pandemic: On the Brink", "Pandemic: In the Lab", and "Pandemic: State of Emergency". The expansions expand the player count and things like mini lab which gives a new way to cure diseases and a bio-terrorist role which is like a traitor working against the players.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Family Time Game I love to play board games but my husband does not. I have a teenager in the house who is extremely competitive. Pandemic was a big hit, as you have to work together and you're not trying to ruin some one else's game play, which was so different than the other games we play (like Ticket to Ride which I always lose at because I don't like having to cut off people's train routes). The game generates a lot of conversation and strategy planning between the three of us, and it was very satisfying to win together. The game is actually very good at teaching kids geography as well, playing with a world map and city cards which have country and population listed on them (just as flavour text, not relevant to game play). There is good replay value, as the random role card you obtain once per game allows you to experience fairly different game play each time. The random outbreaks on the board make each play through very exciting. If you are trying to convince family member(s) to play I would suggest watching a Youtube video to understand how it plays and learn yourself first, then play a "practice" teaching game, as reading the rules to everyone makes it sound very complex which in fact it is not. The game's difficulty can be adjusted each time by the number of Epidemic cards you include in the deck. This new edition has much nicer board pieces and two extra role cards (roles determine what your primary responsibility is in the group).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from at the end of the day it's nice to work together to beat the game instead of against each other! I really like this game and am even willing to forgo my show to play this with my husband. I even agreed to play this when I had a headache. I just want to rid the world of disease :) ! Highly recommended for spouses out there with highly competitive gamers for partners! My eight year old son enjoys it too.
