Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I have purchased this basket many time, both for my granddaughters and as a personalized new baby gift for friends. Everyone loves the soft basket and the children really enjoy the brightly colored food. It is easy for a toddler to carry and the personalization aspect is wonderful. Highly recommend this item!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from little girl loves I brought picnic basket fill and spill because my daughter has the pretty purse and the candy jar. She loves to take all the pieces out to play with the fill and spill toys. We have many other MELISSA AND DOUG TOYS that my kids play with. Nana buy MELISSA and Doug toy that are good condition at yard sales.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great gift idea! My 9 month old loves this toy. i love how the toys are easily washed because she gets them covered in drool! The little sandwich is our favorite because it comes apart. She loves chewy on the separate pieces and "sharing" with mommy. Whenever we take the basket anywhere, people always comment on what a cool toy it is. I would definitely purchase this product for my friend's children!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cute faces on these foods My favorite thing about this set - the food items are machine washable! Can't blame the kids for sticking these cute foods in their mouths and getting them nice and gross.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceeded expectations! I bought this toy for my ten month old grandson. He was premature and has some fine motor delays. We are very pleased with the developmental benefits as he is very motivated to pull apart the sandwich pieces and squeeze the soft toys. Best of all, he loves the toy. It was a life-saver on our long vacation drive!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Where's the Meat? Is fun to play with. I've never had a picnic basket with ice cream before, but it would be nice to have some meat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely toy for my nine-month-old I bought this toy for my daughter, who has just turned nine months old and I'm very pleased with it. The toy is of excellent quality, having been thoughtfully designed and very nicely made. All the components are very appealing to an infant, being brightly coloured, tactile and exciting to shake and squeeze. Lifting the basket and shaking the pieces (and crawling across the floor to reach the toy!) develop gross motor skills; exploring the textures with fingertips, opening the lid and grasping the pieces to move them in and out of the basket use the fine motor skills. I love that the sandwich comes apart, a feature that will further develop thinking and fine motor skills and add to the imaginitive play possibilities for a toddler. The toy offers so many starting points for talk - with younger infants about colour, shape and basic actions, and with young children more complex imaginitive narratives. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't get Boring I bought this for my niece a few years back and she l-o-v-e-d it! Then my son came along and it was at the top of the list for Christmas. He since grown and I gave it to my mom to have at her house for the 6 grandkids that stop by and it's an ongoing hit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Toy Our one-year old was beginning to tire of his basket of familiar toys. This was one of the new items we purchased for him and it is his favorite! He loves pulling everything out, "tasting" all of the different textures and pulling apart the sandwich. Our friend's children also love to play with this toy (ages 2 and 6). This will be used for many many years and because of the good quality I have no doubt it will hold up well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great soft food toy We got this a couple months ago. When we bought it my then 6 month old son didn't want to give it up long enough for the cashier to ring it up. Since then it is his favorite toy to play with while Mommy cooks or if he finishes his meal before the rest of the family. If this is any indication we can't wait until he is big enough for the wooden food play sets and kitchen. My only complaint is that I wish it had a milk instead of a fruit drink and something healthier than ice cream. Although it's play we still want our son to learn that HEALTHY food is fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So much fun! My 8 month old daughter loves this gift from her Great Aunt. The sandwich is by far her favorite part. She can pull it apart and practice passing it from hand to hand. We find that we can teach her colors, shapes and develop her coordination with this toy. It is a very cute toy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "My granddaughter loved it." My 2 yr. old granddaughter had a lot of fun with it. She was able to recognize each article. For a 2 yr. old it would have been nice to have a small table cloth and some cups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the best ! We gave this to our baby as an easter basket gift when he was around 5 months old. He went right for it & has loved it ever since. The faces on the food are the cutest & babies love to look at faces. Each toy makes a different sound & the sandwich layers come apart like a real one. The whole thing doesn't take up much space either, because the picnic basket is squishy too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cute! Great toy for toddlers Great learning toy for my 1 year old grandchild. She loves to pull apart the sandwich and put it back together. She pretends to feed her stuffed animals. She will play with this toy by herself for quite awhile. She also like to have picnic time with grandpa.
