A year later and still going strong!
My now 5 year old use to go the Indigo just to play with this, so for Birthday number 4 we bought him one!
He still plays with it for hours, at the parks, at home, everywhere!!!

Plasma car
Great toy! I worked for different daycares who had them, some inside, some out side, They glide so easily on smooth surfaces and still work amazingly on uneven and roughed up pavement. As young as 2 to even teens can enjoy this, very sturdy. I, myself, have used one with a 2 or 3 year old riding with me, and I am by no means tiny (5'8" and a lot of meat on my bones). Even with both of us on it,I still managed to put both my feet up and scoot around and drive! Definitely recommend!!!

Most loved toy!
My son received a plasma car for his first birthday and he absolutely loved it! It was rode everyday without fail, however about a year later the steering device started popping off, at first we just put it back on and it continued to work but eventually the bolt was stripped to the point it could not control where the car steers. It can still be played with but without the steering function it's just not as much fun, because it was such a well loved toy we decided to purchase a second car which is holding up well! Just a forethought, you would likely want a large area with hard flooring, no carpet to really get good use out of this!

Fun for both Kids & Adults
I love these cars... My daughter has had hers for 12 years and it's still going strong and my son has had his for 3 years... I have seen this toys go through so much & so many kids get excited when they see them (I am the only person I seen that owes 1)... the kids love them but us adults have fun with them too... since they hold up to 255lbs, I have had races with them and done "drunken plasma car"... I recommend this toy for anyone that wants to try something new...

Fabulous long-lasting toy
Bought this for Christmas 2 years ago for my 7 year old. Both the 9 year old and 11 year old loved it too, and all are still enjoying it now. When friends come over, this often comes out. Even adults can ride it. Definitely a great toy as a "fixture": get one when they are 3 or 4 and you'll get a lot of years out of it!

My husband and I bought this for our almost three year old son for Christmas...from Chapters. He absolutely loves it! Within minutes of getting it he was zooming around the house on what he calls his "racer car." I find it hilarious that so many people complained about the Deal of a Lunchtime, and it's ridiculous that the most recent reviews have absolutely nothing to do with the actual product. I would pay full price plus more for this because of the joy it gives my son. It really is an awesome toy! Thank you, Chapters.

I was able to purchase 1 of the 50 red PlasmaCars that were available. I was already signed into my account and just hit refresh and added it to my cart as quickly as possible. I do not think it is fair for some to complain that the marketing department are 'dopes', claim that there wasn't enough stock, or become sarcastic to other purchasers who were successful. It was advertised that only 50 were available and unsurprisingly, that there were a plethora of anxious people who wanted to partake in this deal. I am part of many group buying sites, such as Groupon, Beyond the Rack, HauteLook etc. and I have been disappointed to lose out on an item. You win some and you lose some. I don't think this was bad PR at all. 50 were available, 50 were sold out quickly, which should not be surprising, it is a hot item.

Impossible.
Another disappointed Customer. I hovered at my computer from 11.55-noon in anticipation, my finger on the ready to complete my order. Poof. Gone. I didn't know about this special offer thingy until a friend told me about this one, I was pretty impressed and thought maybe Chapters had won me back from Amazon. Or not.

wow - this wasnt a deal!!!
I too clicked on the link at 11:59am - bringing me to a UNAVAILABLE screen!!! Shocked I called customer service - who basically told me there is a FLAW in their system which allows people to put items intheir cart pre-sale - when the time comes the price adjusts. AWESOME. too bad im one of those stupid people who waited till 12, filled my cart with other things in the meantime - which I am not buying now.

Such a fun battery free toy!
I bought this for my 3 year old son for Christmas after watching my kids ride them in the Chapters toy department over and over. My son rode around in circles indoors for what seemed like hours. My daughter has since asked for one of her own for her 6th birthday. Even my 18 month old scoots around on it using her feet. I have even ridden it myself! I do wish the wheels either didn't mark hardwood or that it moved faster over carpet. We have hardwood and berber carpet over concrete where it can be ridden and it goes pretty slow on the berber and I won't let them use it on the hardwood. I have seen what the wheels can look like after outdoor use so I think we will keep it inside, but if the kids beg enough I may change my mind. An unfinished basement would be perfect! I did contact Play Smart and they do sell replacement wheels which is good to know if we decide to take it outside. Although it was a pricey toy, we waited for a sale and only bought one big item instead of several smaller ones. We didn't really spend more in the end and it seems like it will last.

What an awesome toy. Everybody enoys riding the plasma car. When other kids come over they love it also. The kids run it around in the basement, i would even concider getting a second one. I don't think that the price is at all bad, it is like a trike or a big wheels, so in comparison the price is fair.

Hours of fun!
My 4 year old and 2 year old got their plasma cars for Christmas from my in-laws. THEY LOVE IT! Everyday when the weather is nice, they're out in the driveway going up and down on their plasma cars. They truly enjoy themsalves. The only draw-back is that my older son keeps dragging his feet on the floor and we've gone through 3 pairs of shoes thus far. But seeing the joy on their faces, I'm willing to invest in some more shoes :)

This is the best toy you can buy for any child 2 to 10. In all the toys I have ever purchased I can't remember one that holds the attention of a child for so long. When my grandchildren come to visit, they can play with Plasma cars for 2 hours at a time.

Amazing!
I am a children's program manager and these cars are virtually indestructible. We use them 3x-4x a week and they take the abuse. There are no annoying pedals or parts that break, so they are literally maintenance free - we just wipe them down with disinfectant or Magic Eraser and they are good to go again. Some assembly is required to put them together out of the box, so make sure you have a socket wrench and wooden mallet. The kids love gliding on them in our gymnasium, and they all hop on and get how to use it within seconds. They also hold parent weight so sometimes they race!

I don't actually have a plasma car but my cousin does. We went over to her house and i tried it, i loved it even my 38 year old aunt and my 68 year old grandmother loved it. I am in the process of begging my parents for one! only problem is...... it costs to much. I mean come on, $60.00 for a toy? FORGET ABOUT IT !!

Plasma Fun!
We bought the Plasma Car for our 3 year old granddaughter as it was for ages 3 - 93. She was able to work it and thought it was great... but it was the adults that really had fun on it!! It is amazing how it works without pedals or batteries. Two thumbs up.

I got 2 of them one for me and one for my daughter. I like that the weight requirement is up to 250 pnds. I'm a full figuard mom who enjoys having fun on them with my 4 year old her friends who are 3 and 18 months.

Great concept, great toy
Just bought two of these for our kids (5 and 2) and I cannot wait to give it to them for Christmas!!! I tried it and it really works! It steers well, it's quick and it can hold me up!! Simple design, comfortable and well-priced. Got an extra $10 coupon and another $5 off in-store to boot! Can't beat that! Colour selection is nice too.

It is so cute and light, weighs only 8lb and suitable for indoors and out doors on any smooth flat surface. Only $59.59 a car, a unique plasma car for age 3 and up would provide a lot of fun. Unlike other Auto cars, plasma car has five wheels without power, no petals, gears or batteries. It’s moving entirely by turning steering wheel back and forth, so it is easy to use, silent and safe for children. There are different colors to meet buyer’s preferences, including yellow, blue, pink and red. Not only children like it, but adult can also use it. The lower price makes it affordable for lower income families and benefits to children in following ways: (1) Develop children physical balance abilities and is a good excises especially for children in the winter time. The Plasmacar by Plasmart is a vehicle designed primarily for children. Classifying it as a toy would diminish the complex mechanics that went into the product's design. In fact, although the Plasmacar doesn't have a motor of any kind, it can generate movement. It does so by using the natural forces of inertia, centrifugal force, gravity, and friction. Making the Plasmacar move requires only two things: a smooth surface and a left and right motion from the individual riding it. The rotating motion creates the centrifugal force that propels the vehicle forward. In truth, very little movement is needed and even young children may easily generate the energy needed to move it. Since the Plasmacar doesn't have any type of motor, its operation is extremely quiet. Additionally, it does not require any charging or the use of expensive batteries. The product comes complete and ready to go. The manufacturers spent countless hours ensuring that it remains entirely balanced and it is capable of handling weights up to 220 pounds on a smooth surface and 120 pounds on a rougher one. The Plasmacar is available in four different colors: red, green, blue or purple. Its sleek, aerodynamic design makes it look like a miniature race car! With maximum speeds of five to six miles per hours, it generates enough speed to make the ride fun while remaining safe. Stopping the vehicle is done by ceasing to turn the wheel and simply putting both feet on the ground. The Plasmacar can also be driven in reverse by rotating the front wheels in the opposite direction. The Plasmacar is designed and recommended for children between the ages of three and 14.
