Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bridge Building Hands-on I bought this set for my child in middle school. We built some of the models at a sleepover at our house. Girls took a while to build it, but was worth it. Then they researched the different types of bridges around the world. Everybody had a good time. The instruction as easy to follow though some times you have to be careful. I would recommend the set for anyone you is interested in bridge building. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bridges Around The World I love this kit. In fact, I bought two of the kits. This kit is a great way to teach about bridges and geography. I bought two kits so each of my students in my group could create a bridge. Part of their task included researching the real bridge online; developing a powerpoint of the bridge and creating a Knex Bridge Model. We bought two kits so we could create all of the bridges available to build. My students loved this project. We studied the various types of bridges - used one of the smaller Knex Bridge Kits to create samples of the various types; students reviewed the various kinds of bridges and choice a type and then chose a Knex Bridge to build of that type. Great project. Everyone worked. Even my students that struggled with visual instructions was able to create the Chesapeake Bridge - which wasn't as confusing and lengthy. My students culminated their project with a Bridge Exhibition and Reception in our classroom. We sent out invitations and each student presented their powerpoint and told about their model bridge. Did I mention that I work with teen males with behavioral issues? There were no behavioral issues during this project. My students were so proud of their accomplishments and received so much affirmation during our exhibition. We love KNEX projects....Just started working on the Ball Machine.
