Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seashell fun This game is one that helps your kids work on their hand eye coordination while using Sophie to pick up the shells. The pieces are adorable and attract the attention of young ones. The game promotes turn taking and learning to win and lose, especially when someone gets to steal a seashell from you. :0 The game is a matching game and your little one does not need to be able to read to play. Great fun game to have around. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple & Fun This is such an adorable game! The object of the game is to collect one of each type of seashell. They all have different patterns. When you spin the wheel, you may land on one that has the same pattern as a certain shell. Then you get to grab that one. If you hit a wave, everyone has to toss one shell back. The octopus is the most exciting spot to land on. You have a wager a shell and spin again. You may wind up with two shells, or you may have to put one back. To make it more fun, you use the cute little Sophie shaped squeezer to pick up the shells. Whoever gets one of each shell first will be the winner. This is a great game. It's quick and easy, so you can get a few rounds in at a time. It helps children learn patterns and encourages social skills. It's great for younger children because no reading is required.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Fun to Play! As an Educational Insights Insider, we received this game for review in our State-of-the-Art Toy Testing Facility here at Rock Father HQ (our house). When it comes to simple, fun-to-play games that younger players can really get into, the folks at Educational Insights have really got it down, and Sophie's Seashell Scramble follows Frankie's Food Truck Fiasco as a recent favorite here. Aside from gameplay that helps teach skills such as sharing and strategy, the game comes packaged in a quality box that actually houses the game board itself. My wife (often a hard sell) was really excited when we received this one, making particular note of just how well-designed it is. While kids might not notice or care about the aesthetics, rest-assured, they'll have a great time playing this one, using Sophie the Seal to go after those cute little seashells. Highly Recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Awesome! We received this product as part of a Play Panel Test group and by FAR this has been the best game we've received. My 5yo loves the game and the instructions were easy for her to follow. She even likes to play two cards at a time to try and make it harder for herself. The pieces are cute and everything fits nicely in the packaging. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to incorporate shapes and patterns into their child's understanding. We've already played countless games with Sophie and I don't see us stopping any time soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best game to keep around! We love this game. It's easy to play, which means that my just-turned-four year old was able to comprehend the rules and it's not overwhelming. It can be played quickly, which is something I enjoy as we can get a round or two in while we make dinner and are at the table but don't want to make a big mess. My son is in occupational therapy for his hands, and this is a great therapy tool that we can use every day, or at least several times a week. He works on his finger and hand positioning on Sophie/the tweezer, and the seashells being different shapes is a bit of a challenge for him. He also likes practicing putting the shells in their exact spots on the card and lining them up. We keep this near the kitchen and clean-up is really easy, throw it all back in the box. No small parts to put away or worry about them rolling around during playing as they are contained in the box. Older children have liked this as well. Our son also enjoys doing a 'voice' for Sophie and it's amusing to us, and to him. We like this game for what it is- a simple, easy, convenient and quick game we can enjoy often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This one is my favorite! I can't say enough good things about this game! It promotes turn taking, visual discrimination, matching, and fine motor skills. My 3 year old was able to play with no problems, and we had a lot of fun playing this game together as a family. I can't wait to try it with my pre-k students.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sophie's Seashell Scramble is Superb! Sophie's Seashell Scramble game is an awesome 2-4 player game where children can collect seashells with different patterns. Children take turns spinning a spinner to determine if they will pick up shells, throw back shells, or press their luck with Otto the Octopus. The children use the Sophie squeezer tool to pick up the shells from the game play area which also helps with fine motor skills. Students will learn to differentiate and match patterns and shapes. They will also learn counting skills and socials skills like playing fair and turn taking. But watch out for the big wave - sometimes a wave comes crashing you have to throw back a shell! And don't even get me started on that sneaky Sophie the otter who steals your shells! Children of all ages will love playing this game!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big hit at our house We love EI games at our house! We have several of them, three of them being this format. We have Sophie's Seashell Scramble, Shelby's Snack Shack, and Sneaky Snacky Squirrel. Our kids all LOVE them. Our 5-year-old has semi-outgrown them but she still loves to play them all. When we got Sophie in the mail our 3-year-old could hardly wait to sit down and play. He loves using the animal clamp/tweezer things, which takes some time and patience (for him and for me), but it's great for hand-eye mastery. EI games are some of our kids' favorites, and I think they're beautifully illustrated. I do wish that they came with extra pieces, but we just make sure to count every piece as we clean up so we don't lose anything at clean up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great family game My four year old son enjoys this game and we can easily play as a whole family. The spinner and otter tongs are great for developing his fine motor skills, and he enjoys matching the shell patterns to his game board and the spinner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun game This game is so much fun my daughter would love to play this all day unfortunately we can't, but we do play this at least once a day, the game keeps my daughter focused, and entertained. Instructions are easy to follow, I love that it doesn't have many pieces and easy travel, she takes it when she visits friends or cousins.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun game for toddlers and preschoolers My 3 and 5 year old had fun playing this game. The rules are very simple to follow and the game is great with helping kids build fine motor control and practice pattern recognition. The pieces were of good quality and seem durable despite being made of just plastic and cardboard. However, the game is quite simple - it is probably better suited for younger toddlers ages 2-4. It was too easy for my advanced 5 year old. They enjoyed playing the game but really loved using the shells for other imaginative play. I received the game for free in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this! Will be my go-to birthday gift My son love this game. The first night he had it, we played six times! And he hasn't tired of it yet. We still play a few times a week. The rules are simple enough that a three-year-old can truly understand the game and even explain it to others. Very high-quality pieces, great interactions, and really keeps kids engaged. I will definitely be buying this as a gift for other kids.
