Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Christmas Eve Tradition! Our seven-year old loved A Moose Goes a-Mummering! This twist on the twelve days of Christmas was a fun introduction to the unusual Newfoundland tradition of putting on a disguise and visiting your neighbours over the Christmas season to see if anyone recognizes you. The pictures are colourful and fun – especially the polar bears in kilts – and there is no way you can get through the book without everyone calling out “Any mummers ‘llowed in?” and singing along. This is a terrific addition to our repertoire of Christmas books, and will no doubt become part of our family’s Christmas Eve traditions.
