Rated 1 out of 5 by from An Ordeal To Get Through I have to say that this was hands down the worst Emma Holly book I've read so far. A young upyr runs away from home to venture out into the world to study the human race in hopes to be able to walk among them. Instead of taking on the form of a wolf as her familar, Gillian takes the form of a falcon. The trouble is that this new form gets her caught by a human falconer, Aimery Fitz-Claire. She finds herself falling for the human spending her days as his falcon and nights as his dream goddess. This was a lot words for such a simple story. There were characters that could have been left out because they did nothing at all for the story.
