Rated 4 out of 5 by from Help for the conflict-challenged This book , while being concise, is of immense value in unlocking walls to having those tough conversations with people who matter, whether family, neighbourhood, job. The concept of looking at the three key elements in a tough conversation : (1) what happened ? (2) what feelings are present ? (3) what key identity issues surface? is vitally helpful. Turning the conversation into a learning opportunity rather than a blame-game is magnificent. This should be recommended reading in any college and especially any leadership curriculum.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish everyone I knew would read this I found this a really good book to explain how we sometimes set other people off or make them defensive and vice versa, even though everyone may have the best of intentions. Buying 5 more copies to share with friends, family and colleagues at work. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't benefit from reading this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A life changing book I had a certain perception on how conversations should be handled, to be in "control". This book has taught me how to lose "control" and listen, enquire for answers, both the speaker and listener.
