"I don't do patrols, I don't go hunting, I just stick close to you. You live your life, I'll keep you safe," Tamani said, sweeping a lock of hair from her face. "Or die trying."

Laurel hasn't seen Tamani since she begged him to let her go last year. Though her heart still aches, Laurel is confident that David was the right choice.

But just as life returns to normal, Laurel realizes that a hidden enemy lies in wait. Once again, Laurel must turn to Tamani to protect and guide her, for the danger that now threatens Avalon is one that no faerie thought would ever be possible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing book! i just finished this book and am so upset there isn't more to read. this is by far the best of the three in the series to date. the action and plot really takes off, more so than the first 2. the david/tamani dynamic is a little annoying but changes more than halfway through, something i'm grateful for. i still feel like i did with spells that laurel actually knows who she wants but to keep things interesting the author likes to sit on the fence and draw it out. in this book it isn't as bad and the relationship between laurel and tamani really intensifies. can't wait for the fourth book, really great series so far, highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing *SPOILER AlERT* I loved this book, I love the fact that Tamani is in it a lot more, except that Yuki is always around him at school. I hate the fact that Laurel can't make up her mind between Tamani and David...the choice is soo simple, choose sexy, dark and handsome Tamani! I was so surprised when the book ended because it seemed short, I was so into the book I didn't even realized that it finished so quickly and just like spells it finished on a cliffhanger, I'm so curious to know what Yuki knows about everything, like who made that mix that made the cabin invisible, how can she be a winter faerie and no one knows about her, is there others like her, is Klea a faerie too? so many questions I want answers to *sigh* but i guess I will have to wait to find out. the wings series is one of my favorite series which I have the whole series too and I recommend it to anyone who loves romance stories with a bit of action and adventure in it.
