about

It's bad enough when high-school senior Keeley grabs the wrong phone while leaving her small town's end-of-summer fair. It's even worse when she discovers that the phone she now has belongs to the obnoxious, self-centered Talon and that he's just left for football camp ... with her phone. Reluctantly, the two agree to forward messages for a week. And as Keeley gets to know Talon, she starts to like him. Keeley learns there's more to Talon than the egocentric jock most people see. There's more to Keeley, too. Texting Talon, she can step out of the shadow of her popular twin brother. Texting Talon, she can be the person she's always wanted to be.
Sparks fly when the two finally meet to exchange their phones. But while Keeley has been playing a part online, Talon has been keeping a secret. He has a different connection to Keeley --- one that has nothing to do with phones, and one that will make their new relationship all but impossible. Knowing what she now knows, can Keeley trust him? And can love in the present erase mistakes of the past?

Lindsey Summers's page-turning romance is funny, surprising and full of heart. With its device-centered story, snappy dialogue, looping subplots and depiction of first love, this title offers something for every reader.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Fun to Love Story (with a little bit of everything) I really really really enjoyed Textrovert! Yes, three reallys were necessary because that's how much fun I had reading this book. I picked it up just looking for a simple good time and that's what I got. Textrovert was such a breezy read. I was able to just sit back, let my mind relax and enjoy the story. The plot has a great build up and doesn't drag. The two major plot twists (one obvious, the other not so much) I thought were well done. There were enough hints to keep me curious and the right amount of substance to keep things from being overly dramatic. I'm glad there's closure for everyone. It's a very complete story. I wasn't expecting anything deep or profound about the story so colour me surprised to see some moral issues discussed. Textrovert was more than just a cute love story. It brushes upon some right and wrongs and at what point is it okay to forgive and move on. I think in the end, everyone deserves to have and be given a second chance. Keeley and Talon were by no means perfect but they worked on their flaws. I'm happy to see her stand up for what she wanted and for him to own up to his past. The banter between them were adorable. The development of their feelings felt very genuine. I really loved seeing these two together. Overall I love the high school vibe in Textrovert. The sibling quarrels, the pranks between rival school sports team and the relationship entanglements all felt accurate with their age. I can see why this book is a wattpad sensation. If you're looking for a fun read that's quick and cute with a little bit of thought pick this one up. Smiles and swoons guaranteed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reminds Me of Being a Teenager! Textrovert by Lindsey Summers Wattpad Version titled: Cell Phone Swap 3 Stars - This book was pretty good, I do have to say it truly reminds me of being a teenager, and I am just glad I am not one anymore!! All those new emotions you don't understand yet, the feeling like whatever is happening, it is the only way things could ever be.. with no exceptions. Everything is a do or die kinda attitude..The author wrote that well. However, I didn’t like that she ended it on a small cliffhanger, even if was dealing with a secondary character. I hate cliffhangers, and I found it unnecessary, I would have wanted to read their story without it. * I read the wattpad arc version * ~Paragraphs and Petticoats~

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute, Light Read ~Disclaimer~ I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review. Keeley misplaces her phone at the fair and later finds it. Little does she know that she has taken someone else's phone instead. A boy named Talon has her phone and he has just gone away to football camp. They agree to forward each others messages until he gets back. This kickstarts a friendship with the mysterious boy and gives Keeley an opportunity to be who she really is. But who is Talon? And what is he hiding? I read this book in 2 days. It wasn't a hard book to get into or follow. All in all the plot was good. I just wish that it had gone a little deeper. I felt that it was predictable and the conflict was a little anti-climactic. I enjoyed the txt bubbles used when they were messaging each other. It was a cute light read, perfect for its age group.
