Whether it is a radical diet or a crazy regime of exercise you can leverage his work when you are looking to improve yourself. Tim's famous slow carb diet and cheat day have led to huge amounts of weight loss and health improvement for countless readers. Tim's weight lifting and exercise regimes have improved people's strength and general well being in countless ways. This is a highly engaging read that comes with my highest recommendation.

It's like every token health magazine article I have ever seen put into one book....but that's not a bad thing. I bought it as a gift for someone who loves collecting numerous snippets of health information and they loved it! I would highly recommend it for the avid health/diet/lifestyle reader, not for a one-stop reference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic info, and easy to implement I received this book just after the New Year, and read it within about 3 days. Some of the information within I knew of, but most I did not. The first thing that caught my eye was the Slow-Carb Diet. Read it through, including the parts about the science behind it, and liked what I saw. So, the wife and I have decided to give it a try. After 5 days on this diet my wife has lost 5.5lbs, and I've lost 5lbs. All with a simple change in eating. So, on this particular part, I have to give the book 2 thumbs up. The Geek to Freak section is something I knew about before, but Tim had it laid out in such a concise way, that anyone could follow it and gain more muscle than they ever thought of in a short amount of time. The science of it is explained as well as the methods used. Throughout the book, Tim shows the science behind everything he talks about, and also shows that he has tried it, and has had guinea pigs try it, to make sure it actually does work for more than himself. As the year progresses, my wife and I will be experimenting with more of the chapters, and are looking forward to the changes. All in all, I would be more than willing to say this is my Bible in regards to body recomposition. The fact that other things such as proper running and swimming are included, are a bonus. Also, there is EXCELLENT information on the best methods of rehabbing, and prehabbing. Those 2 sections alone, make this book worth the cost. If you`re looking to get the best from your body, GRAB THIS BOOK.
