The companion to the #1 blockbuster bestseller, The Day the Crayons Quit!

A Wall Street Journal Best Children's Book of 2015 / A TIME Magazine Top 10 Children's Book of 2015

“Highly anticipated (yes, even for adults)” —Entertainment Weekly

I'm not sure what it is about this kid Duncan, but his crayons sure are a colorful bunch of characters! Having soothed the hurt feelings of one group who threatened to quit, Duncan now faces a whole new group of crayons asking to be rescued. From Maroon Crayon, who was lost beneath the sofa cushions and then broken in two after Dad sat on him; to poor Turquoise, whose head is now stuck to one of Duncan's stinky socks after they both ended up in the dryer together; to Pea Green, who knows darn well that no kid likes peas and who ran away—each and every crayon has a woeful tale to tell and a plea to be brought home to the crayon box.

Look for a special glow-in-the-dark picture [Note: make sure to “charge” it under a light first].

Rated 5 out of 5 by from laugh out loud funny I loved this book. It is hilarious! The idea of crayons sending postcards to the little boy who owns them and that the address is his bedroom upstairs ... is so comical. Each crayon's scenario is laugh out loud funny. I enjoyed this book all the way through, even more than The Day the Crayons Quit. The illustrations combined with the story line .... just so funny! Loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As good as the first! Often sequels don't live up to the hype of the first. But in this case it certainly does. Will put the kids in giggles throughout. Daywalt definitely knows how to please both children and parents. Super fun book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sequel If you liked The Day the Crayons Quite, then you'll enjoy this sequel. Only this book is written by the "lost" crayons...the not so popular colours, the crayons that get lost in various places (under the rug, eaten by the family pet, dropped in the car etc). You can't help but laugh while reading these books!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Creative and fun My son loved the first book so much that we bought this one and he loves it just as much. We have this book in our rotation. It's creative writing at its best with crayons asking to be rescued bc Duncan leaves them all over the place. It's a nice break from super hero books.

Date published: 2015-12-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Life of Crayons Continues... I bought this book as soon as I saw it on the shelf. The first book was AMAZING! My students (of all ages- I am a supply teacher), loved the first installment! It was a great light read when I needed to wind my class down and at the same time, it was perfect to go deeper into connections and personal essay writing. For some reason, and I can't put my finger on it, I didn't enjoy this sequel as much as I did its predecessor. It was still a great book, but (and I can't believe I am typing this) I didn't connect to the crayons as much as I did before. Overall, it is a must to have in your collection of books. Both adults and children will LOVE the happenings of these poor crayons that are being neglected in some way by their owner. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Book! Funny, adorable and mischief, adult and children will enjoy this book! Hopefully a third one will come to continue the crayons adventures
