Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Ending This book was a perfect conclusion to a perfect series! Everything seemed to fall into place. Maggie Stiefvater's characters are ones that will forever stick with me

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ending was terrible! The whole book was very strange (and not a good strange) and the ending and finding the King was absolutely terrible! The ending in the car was so bad. It felt like Maggie Stiefvater really liked the beginning of the series and the idea of Blue knowing that Gasney will die but Stiefvater did not know how quite to write about it or how and why that will happen. Bad bad bad. Also too many questions and lines left hanging, but that is typical with Maggie Stiefvater The series and the plot looked promising, I am very disappointed with how it turned out

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it!!! I loved the whole series, and the ending was really good! Love the characters and relationships, and the world Stiefvater has created is beautiful - so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Fitting End My biggest fear for this book was that I had enjoyed the first three so much that this could not possibly live up to that. Well, I was wrong. Very wrong. Oh so wrong. This book was delightful and enticing and emotional. Everything tied up nicely, and the relationships between the characters evolved, cemented themselves, and had me cheering the whole time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would have been good had it not been for the racism Stiefvater could really do with a few sensitivity readers. Henry Cheng could have brought diversity to this series, but instead, he was just a pawn used to incorporate racism in the story (and unfortunately not in a way as to denounce it). I expected much more out of this novel, and was thoroughly disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Overall, I enjoyed the series. There wasn't anything that blew me away though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Raven King As much as I really did enjoy this series, I never quite understood the hype. The final book is underwhelming in terms of the magic that hooked me in the first book. However, the relationships between the characters gave me the warm fuzzies, and everything tied up pretty nicely. Overall, at the very end, it left me with more of a 3.5 star feeling for a series that was a solid 3 stars for me before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow Powerful ending. The dynamics in the relationships and the character arcs were so wonderfully done. I really love how Maggie's writing is evolving. Beautiful!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Favorite out of the 4 Books. this was deffinately my favorite out of the 4 novels, i love the development of all the characters. the development of the relationships were beautifully written, so sweet. However, I did feel that the ending was left slightly abstract and the novel to did give Noah enough justice and back story as the other characters. Overall, it was great ending.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A well thought-out end to an amazing series by a talented author While this book was a thrilling, emotional ride, having had months to evaluate it, as a series finale, it falls short in several places. A lot of key players that make or break the final sequence that holds the entire plot together show up way too late in the series for me to truly connect with their presence in the latter half of the book. I will say, plenty of my wildest theories came true and then some, which was pretty satisfying and almost makes up for the aforementioned issues. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) I really didn't like this series. It wasn't for me, I didn't get the whole overall story line. Not to say that Maggie Stiefvater isn’t a good author but its my opinion. I don't even know how to rate this. I don't even know how to feel. I hated it. I'm disappointed. I'm confused. I don't know man. I don't know.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Final Raven Cycle book! I read this back in April when it came out (I think I pre-ordered it) and while I love this series a great deal, I have to agree with Mithu (who wrote a previous review), the end seemed rushed and hard to digest (especially with the introduction of a new character that immediately becomes very important). I love Maggie Stiefvater's books and have read many of them (The Scorpio Races, Shiver, Linger, Forever). In fact, I may just have to reread The Raven Boys....I recommended The Raven Cycle to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic ending A wonderful ending to a wonderful series. What I love about the Raven Cycle is that each book manages to stand on its own so well, and the same is true with this one - even though it's nearing the end, there are still new characters introduced and new relationships developed. I was excited and terrified in equal measure reading this book and it didn't disappoint in the slightest.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Ending! When I finally got to read the final book, I was not disappointed. The ending of Blue, Adam's, Ronan's, Noah's and Gansey's journey is great. Especially Noah's, it was sooo sad!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Ending! While this series in general is one of my favourites, with the engaging writing and the amazing characters, the ending proved to be quite rushed and did not live up to my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favourite series of all time! What a wonderful end to an amazing series! I'm going to miss these characters sooo much. Cannot wait until Maggie comes out with the Ronan trilogy, until then I'm going to have to just reread this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Amazing series and a beautifully written conclusion! The characters have so much life (yes, even Noah, lol), Maggie gives them such depth and agh it;s just really good.
Date published: 2016-11-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Book! I loved this book on principle, but if I'm being honest I don't know how to feel about it. I think the ending could have been just a bit better. I think this one is probably my least favourite in the series, but I love all of them so ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Story "He was a book, and he was holding his final pages, and he wanted to get to the end to find out how it went, and he didn't want it to be over." This quote made me all teary eyed because that's how I always feel about my most beloved books, including this one. Where do I even start with this book?? Maggie Stiefvater is an incredible writer, and I can't get over what she can do with words. TRK made me happy and it made me cry so many times. HOW DO I MOVE ON FROM THIS SERIES? Ronan, Blue, Adam, Noah, and Gansey are all such beautifully flawed characters, and I'm very sad that their stories are over. Even Henry's. The women of 300 Fox Way, the Gray Man, Gwenllian, they're all such amazing characters that I love so much. My biggest complaint is the fact that I really just want more of these books. I want to see them all grow up and travel and be in love and happy. There are also a few things that go unanswered, but still, beautiful ending. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE FREAKING SHIPS FOR A SEC? Ronan and Adam are sO BEAUTIFUL AND I NEEDED MORE OF THEM. ALSO BLUE AND GANSEY. Yes, we did get a lot of them being adorable together in this book, which was highly appreciated, but it really just made me want to read more of them being together. A book 5 would be great. Overall, in my opinion, I loved the ending to this series. I've seen some people say that they didn't like it - specifically the whole Glendower situation, but I get this ending. I like the way everything worked out. And oh my god that last Noah chapter. I can't. It was so heartbreaking and I know I say this a lot but it was so beautiful. I'm going to miss these characters and this story a lot. also Noah deserved better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from didn't live up to its hype TRC was a wonderful conclusion to the series and brought readers answers to every question but I think this book was overhyped, and due to this, it fell a little short. Still a great conclusion nonetheless! Would definitely re-read the series.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Enjoyed the series not the ending I enjoyed the whole series of these books but was very disappointed in the ending loose threads left all over and it seemed rushed. I felt like after all that the author had brought us through it was simply ended. Some story lines were not concluded which leads me to thing perhaps there will be a spin off, hopefully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite series!! Oh my gosh, where to begin?? The Raven Cycle is my favourite series, and I was mega excited to read this final installment. I was also nervous and sad, because finishing this book would mean it was all over. I’m so happy to say that I loved this book! It was everything: moving, exciting, creepy, and it made me smile, laugh, and of course, it made me cry. I definitely don’t want to spoil the story for anyone, so I will not talk about the plot. But things happened that I would LOVE to discuss with other readers! Things that made me really happy, and some things that made me sad. I think this was a great way to wrap up the series. While I’m beyond sad that my favourite series is finished, I’ve absolutely loved every book. And I love the characters: Blue, Adam, Gansey, Ronan, and Noah. I love them so much! Love love love!! I can’t recommend this series enough!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My heart! This book was fantastic. I loved every part of it. There were some things who bothered me but still I absolutely loved this conclusion. We get to see more of Blue and her Raven boys, what they're feeling and how much they grow since the first book. I just really want to leave those characters and know what will happen to them after this book. The Raven King is one of my favorite of the serie and The Raven Cycle is my all time favorite serie. Thanks you Maggie Stiefvater for creating so a beautiful story. I will probably re-read all 4 books and cry again my poor heart out...I don't regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Conclusion to a Wonderful Series! I really enjoyed this one and it was a satisfying conclusion to one of my all-time favourite series. However, I had a couple issues with that that were more about sub-plots and side characters than anything else. Also, THE SCORPIO RACES is still Maggie's best book, just saying. One of the hardest things for me to come to terms with when I finished this one was that it was over. I wouldn't have a chance to be with these characters anymore. I was really satisfied with how our five main characters stories played out. I think Ronan had the strongest character and character arc throughout this entire series and I was really pleased with his conclusion. I liked that he became ... more Ronan? I don't know how to describe it. It's almost as though he was a fake version of himself in hiding until this book. I think Stiefvater's books are very heavily character driven, though, and that is also where the downfall of this book was for me. The secondary characters were extremely lacking this time around. It also makes me question just how relevant and important some of them were previously, such as Greenmantle in BLUE LILY, LILY BLUE, to the point that I feel I could have done without as much screentime for them in the series in general. I think Piper was such a weak character and her whole arc from the first time she was introduced just feels a bit pointless now that I have finished the whole story. I also feel like this about Henry Cheng. I feel like he was thrown into the mix and Stiefvater was like "LOVE HIM" but I just couldn't get there. I didn't see the appeal. Considering how heavily he was pushed on us in the last book -- and in Stiefvater's Recaptains post for BL,LB -- I just anticipated more from him. Not a weird love sick puppy crush on Gansey and a need to be in the inner circle. He felt like a weird fanservice for the reader to feel like THEY could be part of the story if they had the Right Stuff™ and could make Gansey Excited™. It was just weird to me and I couldn't connect to him and he ended up playing a semi big role and it just felt forced. *sighs* As well, I did not like Artemus. He was such a useless character tbh. And so blah too when he finally did do some talking. I feel like all the good stuff was put into Mr. Gray and his character and so Artemus was hung out to dry. But the plot! I loved the plot! The magic! The intrigue! I think it wrapped up so nicely and I was really impressed with how Stiefvater did it. I was a little hesitant and skeptical going into THE RAVEN KING because how could anything live up to anyone's expectations but plotwise I was really impressed. All the loose ends and threads were neatly tied in a way that served the purpose of the story but also told the right story. I feel like you'll have to read it to understand what I mean by that. Stiefvater's writing, as always, is flawless. The pacing was done really well because it gave us time to have a build up to the final arc but it also didn't drag. I took my time reading this one but it still had me turning pages and wondering what was going to happen next. I liked the inclusion of the little "happy" moments because that's how life is. I also really liked that the ending was hectic and fast but didn't feel rushed. Everything and everyone got their due diligence. Do I recommend this series? Yes. 100% yes. The fantasy, the magic, the characters, the kisses, all of it was fantastic. The Raven Cycle will forever be one of my favourite series and one that I am sure with each reread will bring me new pleasure -- and pain.
