Your health journey starts with sleep. And this ring.
With advanced sensor technology, a sleek design, and an easy-to-use app, Oura delivers precise, personalized insights about your health straight from the most reliable source: your body.
The Oura Ring tracks key signals from your body, delivering critical insights to help you build good habits and harness your body’s potential every day.
When you’re sleeping, Oura captures meaningful data on your heart rate, body temperature, and more to communicate your body’s progress as it prepares you for the next day.
While you’re awake, Oura captures data that reflects your activity and movement so you can give your body exactly what it needs to reach its full potential.
The Oura app maps your health data over the course of your use, focusing on long-term insights and patterns so you can build healthy practices over time. Link your Apple Health or Google Fit account and see your workouts directly in your Oura App.
Infrared LEDs, NTC temperature sensors, an accelerometer, and a gyroscope all wrapped around your finger.
The Oura ring is made of titanium so it’s scratch-resistant, non-allergenic, and weighs less than .25 oz.
The Oura ring uses wireless charging to completely charge in one hour. A single charge lasts up to seven days.
The non-metallic seamless inner molding is fully water-resistant.
Oura measures your resting heart rate during sleep and rest by detecting changes in your Blood Pulse Volume (PPG). The measurements are done from the arteries on the palm side of your finger using two infrared LEDs.
No, Oura doesn’t track heart rate during exercise or other activities. The ring tracks your resting heart rate while you sleep, and during restful moments during the day.
You can, but to protect your finger and your ring, we don’t recommend it. Like regular jewelry, Oura can scratch if worn while lifting weights or gripping bars, or when scraping against metal, ceramics or stone.
Oura tracks your heart rate variability (HRV) while you sleep, and during restful moments during the day. It calculates your HRV from the rMSSD, a well-known HRV parameter that provides a good view on your Autonomic Nervous System activity.
Oura registers your body temperature reading every minute while you sleep. The Oura app doesn’t show absolute temperature values in Fahrenheit or Celsius, instead it shows how your body temperature changes around your own personal baseline over days, weeks and months.
Yes, if you prefer to keep Bluetooth off completely, you can enable ring airplane mode to cut all radio transmission from the ring. Oura uses Bluetooth to sync your ring’s data with the app and to send notifications, but it doesn’t need to be connected to your phone to collect data. The ring can store data for up to 6 weeks. Just take your ring out of airplane mode and it will begin syncing all your stored data.
