For In Stock Items Only

In light of the current Canada Post service disruption, we have partnered with alternative shipping carriers to ensure your holiday orders are delivered as quickly as possible. During this time, some deliveries through Canada Post are experiencing delays, and other carriers are taking on larger-than-normal volumes that may also result in delays of package delivery.

We will always do our best to offer accurate expected delivery dates in our online checkout.

In light of the disruption in carrier services over this busy season, we recommend the following guidelines for your holiday shopping:

  1. Order early. To ensure your packages arrive before December 24, 2018, consider placing your order for any in-stock items before Friday, December 7, 2018.

  2. Choose our FREE SHIP TO STORE shipping option when you place your order. This will allow you to have your packages shipped for pickup to the Indigo, Chapters, Coles or IndigoSpirit store of your choice. This delivery option is free and fast, and does not rely on Canada Post service.

  3. Allow extra time if your delivery address is a P.O. Box or in a remote postal area. Only Canada Post can deliver to P.O. Boxes and certain remote postal areas, so there is a greater chance that orders to these addresses will be impacted by the Canada Post service disruption. Consider our FREE SHIP TO STORE option (noted above), or an alternative mailing address for these orders.

International Shipping

We cannot ensure holiday delivery to destinations outside of Canada or the U.S.

What about items which are not "In Stock"?

Items that are not “in stock” generally have a posted backorder timeframe on the item page. For example, you may see an item with a backorder availability of “ships within 1-3 weeks”. In this example, you will need to allow this additional lead time for the item to reach you on time.

It's Not Too Late

Don't worry! We have some great last minute gift-giving ideas:

  1. Send a regular Chapters Indigo Electronic Gift Card. See our Gift Card selection

  2. Shop at one of our retail stores, open late until December 24, 2018 for those last minute gift emergencies! We recommend checking your item's in-store availability first before visiting a store. Find your nearest store

Please note: Delivery delays may occur as a result of poor weather conditions and holiday parcel volume. There may also be some delivery delays from December 25, 2018 to January 3, 2019 due to statutory holidays.
