Though born without great beauty, wealth, or title, Anne Boleyn blossomed into a captivating woman. She used her wiles to win the heart of England's most powerful man, King Henry VIII, and persuade him to defy everyone - including his own wife-to make her his new queen. But Anne's ambition was her fatal flaw. This is the true story of the girl everyone loved to hate.

Carolyn Meyer's engrossing third novel in the award-winning Young Royals series tells Anne's fascinating story in her own voice-from her life as an awkward girl to the dramatic moments before her death.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not exactly a kid's book This is really good. I mean, really good. As stated at begininng, even though this looks like it's for kids around 10-12, it's not. It really as a lot of historical facts packed in here, and now that I think about it, it may even surpass some of the adult books on Anne Boleyn out there. It really covers her life, and makes her human in this. This doesn't exactly gloss over her vices either. In the book, through her POV, she can be impatient, cruel, and a shrew. Yet you also feel that she is human, her desire to be queen isn't that selfish, and you would actually ache for her when her fate is sealed. This isn't exactly 'The other Boleyn Girl',but quite entertaining with most of the facts straight. And even adults can enjoy this simple book for it's modest price. To watch out for: The romance between her and Henry Percy, for some reason, just annoys me to no end. Yes, I get that you're in love, now get over it. It just drags on forever and forever. Also, the sixth finger thing, it's a myth. Not true.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Positively captivating! This book is a wonderful historical work by Carolyn Meyer about the disliked Anne Boleyn and how she wins the heart of King Henry the VII, but is later beheaded by the man who once loved her, but not before giving birth to the future, much-loved queen Elizabeth Tudor. It's my strong opinion that anyone who thinks that this book is totally boring and only about love should seriously grab a brain and think again! Because, if they actually look at it, they will discover that it is definitely NOT ONLY about love!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awsome and Engaging Doomed Queen Anne was a wonderful book. A dramatic story of the second wife of Henery the eighth, and the mother of the Virgin Queen, Queen Elizabeth. It turns a dreaded history lesson into a great adventure and I would reccomend it to anyone with a flare of passion for drama and suspence.
