Rated 3 out of 5 by from Funny These are funny books for kids, but essentially they're not anything with depth that they would really learn from. As a kid, these were the books I would read for kicks since they didn't really send a proper message or have a real point to them. I would still recommend them to kids though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Kid's Book Yes, it's funny. Yes, it's entertaining. Yes, it's a kids book. I finished the book in a day, but the story was funny, but there was one thing I kind of cringed at. Yeah it was a kid's book, but it just kind of moved too fast. It was a good book, but if it kind of made a little more sense it would of made it perfect. TheBookReviewer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from alex,s report I think all of the Captain Underpants books where good.I like George and Harolds comic books a lot.It was fun when George and Harold hypnotized Mr.Krupp.I would not like it if I had to do all that work that George and Harold did. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captain Underpants This was the book that brought the reading interest out in my child. It is a silly, good nature comic book but being in a novel format gives the child the feeling of accomplishment. The child will enjoy reading this book out loud which allows for discussion of the humour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captain Underpants and the attach of the talking t I like this book because I can read it myself, and it's very funny. The two boys write comics, but they don't always spell the words right. The fliporama technique is great! I love Dave Pilky's books. He really understands kids. Sophia, 8 years old.

From Our Editors

George Beard and Harold Hutchins are your average fourth graders, always ready with a devastating practical joke or two — and always getting into trouble for them. So they fight back by hypnotizing their formidable principal, Mr. Krupp, thereby turning him into a superhero from their own cartoons: Captain Underpants. Before you can cheer “Wedgie Power,” the newly transformed Principal Krupp is flying out the window and tackling crime wherever he find it, intercepting robbers and robots alike. Of course, he needs the help of his creators, who are usually the ones to get Captain Underpants out of his jams and save the planet, as is the situation with the terrible Dr. Diaper. Created in a zany cartoon, flip-book format bound to appeal even if the subject matter isn’t enough to elicit giggles, The Adventures of Captain Underpants is the first in a series from the hugely talented creator of God Bless the Gargoyles, Dav Pilkey.
